Creeping Sharia: Aug. 31, 2010

Creeping Sharia is a website that brings us so much information everyday about what is happening in America and the Middle East that I shall copy the first paragraph along with the link to that article cuz there are so many. I find them all to be necessary to have knowledge about, so here we go.

NY State Regents exam shills for Islam, slams Christianity.
Creeping sharia, stealth jihad, cultural jihad, Islamization – call it what you will. It is happening and will continue until Americans wake up and put an end to it. Or future generations of Americans will be second-class citizens, aka dhimmis. via Teachers, scholars question balance of religious portrayal on NYS Global Studies regents – NYPOST.com. Muslim American Journalists Association.
The next time you read your news, check the author. Now, more than ever before, what is passed off as “news” and “journalism” is tainted with with the biases of those who write the articles. Even if ever so subtle.

Examples abound, but we stumbled across an organization that could be quite useful. The Muslim American Journalists Association. The group website states they’ll even have bylaws, “*Coming soon, insha’Allah*.” [Continue reading.]

Terror-linked group sues Illinois State Police over terror-linked Muslim chaplain. Please read this article.

With all that said, I hope you will continue to follow Creeping Sharia. Have a blessed day.

Some Verizon ISP Owners Suck

I have a Black Tie account with the Geek Squad where I bought my computer, and my brother's ISP owner is from Verizon. I use a router (he has the modem) which they provided for us. Yesterday our computers were down due to an ethernet cable being unplugged. You would THINK Verison would able to know what to do about this situation.

Apparently not. I had to waste one of my 4 free emergency calls to find out all I had to do was unplug the modem, plug the ethernet cable master box back into the wall, unplug the router, then turn off the power to both computers, wait a few seconds (10), plug in the router after the modem lit up and become nonflashing solid lights, and voila! A FREAKIN ISP WORKER SHOULD KNOW THIS.

I should charge them $99, because that's how much money they cost me. That was my third or fourth call to the Geek Squad, and I am upset. If you don't know your job, don't work there. I don't care how hard up you are for a job. Geesh.

Besides that, Yahoo has not responded to my request for help getting into my Email account. If you are wondering why I haven't been writing, there's your answer. I cannot reach you to let you know about the situation! Frustration after frustration.

One good thing did happen, actually two. My brother is eating a little solid food and feeling better, and I am able to walk without my walker now! I'm not saying it's permanent, but I have managed to get around to care for him without using it. I guess it is true. When we have to do things we never thought possible but circumstances call upon us, we rise to the occassion through faith in Him. Praise God and thank you for your prayers. God bless you all.

PS. You may reach me at this email address for now.

May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you the rest of the way until you can walk along side Him again.

Conservatives Have No Plans?

Yesterday's Morning Bell: The Left is in Full Retreat title doesn't do it justice. This is an article packed with many positions and policies that we have been trying to bring forth, but the democrats have kept us out of their meetings. Do you want to know the truth? Do you want to be freed? Then read on.

Last Thursday, a who’s who of the progressive movement met for a conference call organized by Families USA and hosted by the advocacy group for government-run health care, The Herndon Alliance. The Alliance’s partners include AARP, AFL-CIO, SEIU, MoveOn and La Raza, among many others. Democratic pollsters John Anzalone, Celinda Lake and Stan Greenberg were the call’s main event, and they were there to deliver some bad news. Politico reports: “Democrats are acknowledging the failure of their predictions that the health care legislation would grow more popular after its passage, as its benefits became clear and rhetoric cooled. … The presentation also concedes that the fiscal and economic arguments that were the White House’s first and most aggressive sales pitch have essentially failed.”

Health care is not the only issue where the left is retreating in the face of strong disapproval from the American people. Versionista, a Portland, Oregon-based company that tracks changes to the White House website, reported last week that the Obama administration had made “whole-cloth” changes to its “Energy & Environment” issues page. Out are any references to a cap on carbon emissions and a campaign pledge to spend $150 billion on clean energy technologies. In its place the new White House site includes a three-minute Earth Day-themed video from President Barack Obama. And across the country, leftist Senate candidates in Missouri, Kentucky and Indiana have all come out against President Obama’s impending trillion dollar tax hike, due in January.

As satisfying as it is to see Obamacare’s supporters come to terms with the failure of their grand plan, it is not enough for conservatives to just say “no.” Conservatives must have real plans for reform if the American people choose to empower them. The Heritage Foundation’s Solutions for America chapter on Getting Health Care Reform Right recommends:

Repeal Obamacare: There is a precedent for repealing highly unpopular and misguided laws: the Medicare Catastrophic Coverage Act of 1988. Recently, over 70% of Missouri residents rejected a key provision of Obamacare—the requirement that individuals purchase a health insurance plan designed and approved by government bureaucrats. The House of Representatives even voted recently to repeal one provision of Obamacare that will impose draconian paperwork requirements on millions of small businesses. The easiest way to address all these grievances: repeal Obamacare.

Promote Personal Control Through Tax Equity: Today, workers who purchase coverage through their employer receive an unlimited tax break on the value of their health care benefits. However, those who purchase coverage on their own receive no comparable tax break. Ideally, the current tax exclusion should be replaced (or at the very least capped) with a system of universal tax credits for taxpayers. Medicaid and SCHIP spending should also be redirected to help low-income individuals and families purchase private health insurance

Fix Current Government Health Programs: Medicare should be reformed into a defined-contribution system in which the government provides a contribution for benefits and seniors are able to apply their contribution to the health plan that suits them best.

Promote Federal–State Partnerships: A one-size-fits-all federal solution cannot accommodate the unique and diverse health care challenges facing the states. The federal government should promote interstate commerce in health insurance, extend certain protections for those who maintain continuous coverage, and provide states with technical assistance and relief from federal rules that inhibit innovation.

Provide Portability: Individuals—not the government—should be able to choose the health coverage that best suits their needs. To accomplish this, private health insurance must be portable—that is, owned by Americans so they can take their package from job to job.

There is no better symbol for the overreach of the progressive movement into the daily lives of all Americans than Obamacare. Repealing this intolerable act and replacing it with the foundations for a truly market-based health care system is one of the best ways conservatives can capitalize on liberalism’s retreat.

Quick Hits:

•Nearly half of the 1.3 million homeowners who enrolled in the Obama administration’s flagship mortgage-relief program have fallen out.
•The government is investigating at least 20 car dealerships it claims violated the rules of last year’s cash-for-clunkers program.
•Howard Dean, former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, said Sunday that President Obama’s political advisers are out of touch with average Americans and need to “spend some time outside Washington.”
Iran opened its first nuclear power plant at a ceremony on Saturday that was attended by senior officials from Iran and Russia.
•Hugo Chavez’ Venezuela suffered more civilian deaths in 2009 than both Baghdad and Mexico.

This is just the beginning. Once we have elected conservatives to office, we must not let up the pressure. That is the mistake we the people made the last time. This is our money and our values they are going to be responsible for and temptation runs high when no one is watching. This time, we shall ALL be watching. It is our responsibility.

This Slavery Needs To STOP

Since I was a child, I never understood slavery. Doesn't everyone bleed the same? Are we all not children of God? Then how on earth can we allow others to treat our brothers and sisters so cruelly? Please watch the following video.

Founders' Daily Quote(s): 8/16-20/10

Monday, August 16, 2010.
"But as the plan of the convention aims only at a partial union or consolidation, the State governments would clearly retain all the rights of sovereignty which they before had, and which were not, by that act, EXCLUSIVELY delegated to the United States." --Alexander Hamilton, Federalist No. 32

Tue. 8/17.
"But ambitious encroachments of the federal government, on the authority of the State governments, would not excite the opposition of a single State, or of a few States only. They would be signals of general alarm... But what degree of madness could ever drive the federal government to such an extremity." --James Madison, Federalist No. 46

FDR.

Wed. 8/18.
"[H]is was the singular destiny and merit, of leading the armies of his country successfully through an arduous war, for the establishment of its independence; of conducting its councils through the birth of a government, new in its forms and principles, until it had settled down into a quite and orderly train; and of scrupulously obeying the laws through the whole of his career, civil and military, of which the history of the world furnishes no other example." --Thomas Jefferson, on George Washington in a letter to Dr. Walter Jones, 1814

And now we cannot even speak his name. Is there something terribly wrong with this picture? You betcha. Read this again. Are they calling our congress an extreme lot? That's the feeling I got when I read it.

Thu. 8/19.
"His person, you know, was fine, his stature exactly what one would wish, his deportment easy, erect and noble." --Thomas Jefferson, on George Washington in a letter to Dr. Walter Jones, 1814

I'll take one like that. ;)

Fri. 8/20.
"His temper was excellent, and he generally observed decorum in debate. On one or two occasions I have seen him angry, and his anger was terrible; those who witnessed it, were not disposed to rouse it again." --Thomas Jefferson, on Patrick Henry, 1824

That's the kind of men we today, not these sissy-feelings-women are equal types. We are actually better, so knock it off! ;)

Honoring a Fallen Soldier and Milblogger

Today is a day of sorrow, honor, anguish, memories and every emotion in the world for those who knew and loved PFC Paul O. Cuzzupe. He was a Military man through and through, and he was also a blogger. You may have even read his words. Have a nice trip to Heaven, and we shall remember you here. Godspeed.

Fallen Military BloggersArmy.

Pfc. Paul O. Cuzzupe II was killed August 8, 2010 while serving in Afghanistan. Cuzzupe, who was assigned to the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, died after suffering injuries in Akhtar-Mohammad-Khan when his unit came under attack with an improvised explosive device.

Cuzzupe occasionally posted blog entries on his MySpace page. In his final entry titled "First Thanksgiving away from home" dated November 25, 2009, Paul wrote:

I have never spent and Thanksgiving away from home. It is weird how I am actually not going to be doing anything tomorrow on my favorite holiday. Life when you are training in the Army is boring to say the least. I had this grand vision that I would always be doing soething, but that is not the case, not yet anyway. It will pick up greatly when I leave AIT to go to my duty station. From there I have no idea what is in store for me, but I am sure that I will get to see the shit that has had our country bogged down for the last 8 years. I find myslef not scared, just trying to be mentally prepared. I have faith in my skills and my ability to do my job. I ve always thought that I would carry on the tradition in my family being in the Army. It is my turn. I only hope that my father and grandfather are looking down me and watching me. I feel their presence quite frequently and I know that the will be with me always, especially when times get tough.

God bless Paul for his courage and sacrifice. My thoughts and condolences go out to all his family and friends.

The St. Petersburg Times based in Tampa, has more information about Paul, his family and the military style procession he received after his body arrived in Tampa.

Military personnel, law enforcement officers, strangers and friends saluted the white hearse as it passed. Car dealerships and restaurants on S.R. 60 hung their flags at half-staff.

No 'Victory' Mosque at Ground Zero--We Will Not Submit

So the Muslim Brotherhood wants to build a 'victory' mosque two blocks away from ground zero, and all the cowards with no spine say it's a local issue? Let me ask you this. Was Pearl Harbor a local issue?

If it was, then why did we go to war? Why not just call the Police? You guys get on my nerves so much because you are cowards and cannot stand up for your birthright or mine. If you hate this country so much, get the hell out of it.

Below is a press release that should give you pause. Why? Our government isn't supposed to take sides in religious matters, but this is exactly what Obama did. Read further.

Liveprayer's Bill Keller Upset Pres. Obama Endorses "victory mosque" but not his Christian Center.

The leader of LivePrayer.com an internet ministry that has over 2.4 million subscribers worldwide reading his Daily Devotional, responds to President Obama's endorsement of the new Islamic ground zero "victory mosque," yet refuses to acknowledge his new 9-11 Christian Center at Ground Zero.

Website: 9-11 Christian Center. More places to see articles, WorldNetDaily article, DNAinfo article and Charisma article.

August 16, 2010 - St Petersburg, Fla. Bill Keller, leader of the world's largest interactive Christian website for 11 years, Liveprayer.com, has harshly criticized President Obama's endorsement of the "ground zero victory mosque," while refusing to acknowledge the opening of his new 9-11 Christian Center at Ground Zero. Keller states, "This President has endorsed a memorial being built by Muslims to their greatest military victory in the 1400 years of Islam, 9/11/2001, yet we have sent numerous correspondence to the White House asking for him to bless our new 9-11 Christian Center at Ground Zero."

Keller goes on, "This is a President who refused to hold any services in the White House for the National Day of Prayer, or any other Christian holiday, yet holds a dinner to commemorate Ramadan? But why would anyone be surprised. After all, the Obama administration is paying for the "ground zero victory mosque" Imam, Festal Ralf to go to the Middle East on the U.S. taxpayers dime to raise the $110 million he needs for his "victory mosque!"

On Sunday, September 5th, Keller will open this September the 9-11 Christian Center at Ground Zero as a Christian response to the mosque the Muslims are building just blocks away. Keller said that rather than hold a protest that people will forget an hour after it is over, he wanted to take an ongoing stand against this new mosque in a bold, visible, and meaningful way.

Keller stated that he sees this as an incredible opportunity to take a stand for Christ within a block of the hallowed ground where the World Trade Center Towers once stood, and give people a place where they can come to pray and find true peace and hope at a time when so many lives are in turmoil.

Keller is no stranger to conflict with Islam. In 2007, under pressure from the extremist Muslim group CAIR, Keller's highly rated nightly TV program that ran for 4 1/2 years on a CBS owned station in Tampa, Florida, was cancelled by CBS because he refused to stop telling his viewers that "according to the Bible Islam is a 1400-year-old lie from hell, and that history clearly shows Mohammed was a murdering pedophile who propagated his false religion through hatred, violence, and death."

Keller also has numerous fatwas (sentences of death) issued against him for a video he sent in 2006 to Osama Bin Laden that was played worldwide in which Keller encouraged Bin Laden to "renounce the lies of Islam" and come to faith in Jesus Christ.

In asking Keller about what he hopes to accomplish with the new 9-11 Christian Center, he said, "If the Muslims can without conscience build a mosque to propagate their religion of violence and hated a block away from where their Muslim brothers perpetrated the greatest act of terror on U.S. soil, killing 3,000 innocent souls in the process, we can open a place where people can come to hear the truth of the Bible and learn about the peace, love, and saving grace of Jesus Christ"

Keller's 9-11 Christian Center will begin holding services Sunday, September 5th in the ballroom of the New York Marriott through the end of the year. They will move into their permanent facility on January 1st.

This Is Crying Funny

I was just emailed this, and oh how true it is. The sad thing is that it is true. It is about a Governor, a dog, and a coyote. Read on:
California is a big government State.

Arizona is a direct, small government State .

California spends tens of millions on small things.

Arizona recognizes small things and does not take them seriously.

Which State handles problems better--the State welcoming illegal aliens or the State enforcing the Rule of Law?

Pass this on to your friends.

(sent to me by a friend, not sure who the author is)

California:

The Governor of California is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out, bites the Governor and attacks his dog.

1. The Governor starts to intervene, but reflects upon the movie "Bambi" and then realizes he should stop; the coyote is only doing what is natural.
2. He calls animal control. Animal Control captures coyote and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases and $500 for relocating it.
3. He calls a veterinarian. The vet collects the dead dog and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases.
4. The Governor goes to hospital and spends $3,500 getting checked for diseases from the coyote and on getting his bite wound bandaged.
5. The running trail gets shut down for 6 months while Fish & Game conducts a $100,000 survey to make sure the area is free of dangerous animals.
6. The Governor spends $50,000 in state funds implementing a "coyote awareness" program for residents of the area.
7. The State Legislature spends $2 million to study how to better treat rabies and how to permanently eradicate the disease throughout the world.
8. The Governor's security agent is fired for not stopping the attack somehow and for letting the Governor attempt to intervene.
9. Additional cost to State of California : $75,000 to hire and train a new security agent with additional special training re: the nature of coyotes.
10. PETA protests the coyote's relocation and files suit against the State.

Arizona:

The Governor of Arizona is jogging with her dog along a nature trail. A Coyote jumps out and attacks her dog.

1. The Governor shoots the coyote with her State-issued pistol and keeps jogging. The Governor has spent $0.50 on a .45 ACP hollow point cartridge.
2. The Buzzards eat the dead coyote.

And that's why California is broke.
Hat tip: Stephen.

Oh, what dreaded shores we surf! (Don't ask me what this has to do with coyotes, governors, or dogs; but I thought it sounded good.) Have a blessed day, all. ;)

We Need To Know Sharia Law

Why should you bother learning sharia law? Because there is an ideology at war with us - whether we like it or not - and this is what they are planning to bring here.

If you are on the Left, know that they slaughter homosexuals and subjegate woman. If you are on the Right, stop pretending we are not at war.

Below is a video emailed to me by Gribbit, and I already these things. Do you? Listen.

It is up to us to keep America free. DO NOT go out and start trouble. This is a waste of time. Pay attention to our own government on all levels. Who better to look after our own neighborhoods than the people who live in them?

We will win this war again. Do you remember the last time we fought it? President Thomas Jefferson. It was the Barbary Coast. Carry on.

Please Pray for Me

Tuesday I went to the bank for my brother and decided to go shopping. This is a little difficult for me, because I use a walker and take the bus. On my way to catch a bus home, I stumbled and hit my head. When I got home, I had a TIA.

I have had a migraine ever since. Writing this is hard, but I just wanted you to know I'm alright. Just a little pain in the head.

Please pray for brother as well. He has been ill for about 3 months now. You should see the two of us misfits. haha. He's weakened, I'm sensitive to light, noise, and just about everything. (My brother offered me food and I almost lost it.)

I really appreciate your prayers. My brother just got home yelling, "Help me! Help me!" Got that fixed. And on we go. Happy trails...

May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you the rest of the way until you can walk along side Him again. Digg! Digg!

Prop 23 Saves Jobs and Billions

Here is the lowdown on Prop 23 vs AB 32 (global warming). Assemblyman Dan Logue is the author of Prop 23, so what is it all about? Very simply, we pay higher costs for utilities, food, gas, etc during this depression, or we can put a stop to AB 32 from destroying our state. Here is what he has written. Please help me spread it far and wide.

By Assemblyman Dan Logue, for the California Political [N]ews and Views, 7/26/10

If you had a choice between paying several thousand dollars a year in higher utility, fuel, food and other costs, and temporarily postponing an ineffective global warming law until the economy improves, it would be a simple decision, right?

Well, thanks to the 800,000 voters who signed petitions to put the California Jobs Initiative on the November ballot, voters will actually have a chance to make that choice.

The California Jobs Initiative is a common-sense proposition that will temporarily suspend implementation of AB 32, the states global warming law, until our unemployment rate returns to a level closer to where it was when the law was originally adopted by the Legislature.

If successful, the initiative will save over a million jobs and save California businesses and families billions of dollars in higher energy and other costs resulting from regulations aimed at reducing greenhouse gas, or carbon, emissions associated with global warming.

Heres why. AB 32 requires a radical shift in where California gets its energy, necessitating huge investments in alternative power sources such as wind, solar, and hydrogen. Its estimated the transition will cause gasoline and diesel prices to increase by $3.7 billion a year, natural gas rates to go up by 57% a year, and electricity rates to rise by up to 60%.

Other AB 32 regulations are expected to increase the cost of a new home by $50,000 and add several thousand dollars to the price of a new car. And the Air Resources Board is considering a cap and trade carbon tax of $143 billion.

Those higher energy costs will translate to increased overhead for businesses large and small, who will pass all or part of that cost onto their customers in the form of higher prices not only for utilities and fuel but just about everything we use on daily basis, such as food.

Those higher prices are likely to result in a downturn in business, which in turn will lead over a million lost jobs, according to a recent study.

Its bad enough that these billions in higher costs and loss of a million jobs would come at the worst possible time, considering there are almost 2.3 million Californians already unemployed, our states chronic $20 billion budget deficit and hundreds of billions in debt. But AB 32, which was created specifically to help reduce global warming, wont make one bit of difference in terms of worldwide greenhouse gas emissions reductions.

Because global warming is a global challenge, and because California accounts for a minuscule percentage of all greenhouse gas emissions, AB 32 on its own cant make a difference in global warming. The California Air Resources Board itself has conceded: California acting alone cannot reduce emissions sufficiently to change the course of climate change worldwide.

And California indeed would be acting alone if we implement AB 32 as currently scheduled. Other states and other nations have dramatically downsized their climate change plans in recognition of the fact that their economies just cant sustain the costs necessary to meaningfully reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

I recently asked Californias non-partisan Legislative Analysts Office (LAO) to evaluate what the impact of going it alone with AB 32 would be on our states economy. The response was disturbing.

The LAO found that California-only implementation of AB 32 would be likely to adversely affect Californias economy in the near term because of the related energy price increases. This would in turn result in higher prices for goods and services and reduced production, income and jobs.

The LAO has reported elsewhere that suspending AB 32 would save local governments and the state millions in costs, and prevent loss of tax revenues as well.

One other important fact: AB 32 deals only with carbon emissions, which while associated with global warming present no threat to public health or the environment. California already has the strictest laws in the county to protect our air and water from smog and other pollutants, and those laws will remain intact under the California Jobs Initiative.

Unfortunately the Governor, the Legislature and the Air Resources Board have steadfastly refused to intervene in the timing of entirely symbolic global warming regulations that could turn our states current economic crisis into a permanent financial disaster.

Thats why the California Jobs Initiative is so important. It will protect over a million jobs and save California families and businesses billions of dollars in higher energy costs. Considering wed be spending that money and sacrificing those jobs for a global warming law that wont do anything to reduce global warming, it should be an easy choice for California voters.

Stop Sharia in NYC

Today it was necessary for a friend of mine to file a lawsuit against MTA and the NYC government for censorship. Apparently our Sharia dhimmis will do anything for the enemy, including trying to silence the opposition. Let me say it now and clear: I WILL NOT SUBMIT.

To read this story, please go to Atlas Shrugs site: SIOA Lawsuit against NYC: Bloomberg's MTA Refuses to Allow 911 Images: Bans Ground Zero Bus Campaign. Trust me, it is worth your time if you care to live in a free society.

Many people have died to save our country and keep her free. Now it is your turn to do the same for the next generation. Thank you.

What's Next for the Sons of Iraq?

Below you will find the 'Institute for the Study of War's report on the conditions in Iraq as we withdraw our Troops down to 50,000. God be with them (as long as they're allies).

August 5, 2010.

With the U.S. troop drawdown deadline rapidly approaching, all eyes are focused on Iraq and what may transpire after U.S. combat forces withdraw to 50,000 troops on August 31st, 2010. A new ISW publication, Uncertain Future for the Sons of Iraq by Michal Harari, addresses the critical issues facing the Sons of Iraq (SoI), also know as part of the “Awakening”, on the eve of the US military’s mission change in Iraq:
"SoIs have been a primary target for al-Qaeda and other extremist groups in Iraq, making them feel increasingly threatened yet under-protected. A bitter and resentful Sunni population spells danger to future Iraqi stability."
Uncertain Future for the Sons of Iraq documents the rise of the SoIs and the current problems plaguing them: low levels of SoI integration into government agencies, lack of private sector infrastructure for job creation, and targeted attacks against SoIs by AQI and other extremists groups. It is a must-read given the August 31st troop withdraw deadline. To learn more about the development of Iraqi Security Forces (ISF), be sure to read the newly-released transcript of Lieutenant General Michael D. Barbero’s discussion on ISF, hosted by ISW.

In other news, ISW has been busy hitting the airwaves to discuss the troop drawdown in Iraq and the process of government formation. ISW Deputy Director and former Command Historian in Iraq, Marisa Cochrane Sullivan, sat down with Hearst Media’s Nicole Killion to talk about the new role of U.S. forces in Iraq. See it here. Marisa also guest blogged at the New York Times’ Room for Debate blog where her commentary on President Obama’s Iraq remarks appeared of the front page of the NYT website. ISW Communications Director Megan Ortagus also visited Fox News’ Strategy Room to talk about the troop withdraw and forging a new partnership between the U.S. and Iraq.

Of course, ISW’s Afghanistan Project is also hard at work this summer with the recent publication of Fact Sheet: The Kabul Conference. The 2010 Kabul Conference, co-chaired by the United Nations and Afghan Government, took place on July 20th, 2010. This conference is the ninth international conference on Afghanistan, but the first held within the country. It was the largest gathering of foreign leaders in Afghanistan since the 1970s. For more on combat forces in Afghanistan, be sure to check out our brand-new interactive map set Disposition of Forces: Afghanistan.

Fighting Against Obamacare

Today is a day for celebration. It is 'We the People', and what better place to say it than Wisconsin. They have told Washington to leave them alone in no uncertain terms when they voted to tell them to leave their medical decisions to themselves.

We have finally come upon the season when we get a voice and oh brother, are they going to hear from us! Just read further:

Obamacare Loses Big in Missouri; Voters Reject Individual Mandate.
Missouri voters dealt Obamacare a significant setback yesterday, approving a statewide ballot measure by an overwhelming 3-to-1 margin.

The vote was the first time citizens had an opportunity to cast a ballot on the unpopular health care law. Missouri’s measure prohibits the federal government’s enforcement of the individual mandate to buy health insurance. The victory sends a strong message about Obamacare in a bellwether state.

~snip~

Contrary to a myth spread by the left, opponents had a sizable advantage in resources. The Missouri Hospital Association spent more than $400,000, while Missourians for Health Care Freedom estimated its funding would total about $100,000 in support of Proposition C.

Yesterday’s vote came just one day after a federal judge allowed Virginia’s case against the individual mandate to proceed. Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli challenged the Obamacare provision on the grounds that the federal government cannot regulate a person’s decision to purchase a product such as insurance. U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson rejected the Obama administration’s request to dismiss the case Monday.

This week’s events are symbolic in the quest to repeal Obamacare. Missouri is one of four states to put Obamacare on the ballot this year. The other three — Arizona, Florida and Oklahoma — have constitutional amendments up for consideration in November.

~snip~

Lawmakers in 38 states have introduced the model legislation and three other states are planning to do so soon. [Continue reading for links and more info.
I did not take the time to put in the links, because I am so backed up on the news. There is a link to the article I've quoted, so that should be helpful. Gosh, you go Wisconsin! Great job.

Sherrod Treated Southern Blacks Badly?

When I read what is below, I got very angry. I apologize to every black person for asking people not to speak poorly about Ms. Sherrod. I do not understand for life of me how anyone can treat people in such a manner and still consider themselves to be a part of the Civil Rights Movement. She should have put on a sheet...

Massa Shirley Sherrod?
Black Conservatives Speak Out on Leftist Accusations About Past Unfair Labor Practices From New Civil Rights Hero.

Washington, D.C. - A bombshell accusation by the left against fired U.S. Department of Agriculture employee Shirley Sherrod regarding alleged grossly improper labor practices against black farm workers in the 1970s is causing members of the Project 21 black leadership network to speak out.

"There has been a mighty effort by liberals to present Shirley Sherrod as a victim -- even a saint-like figure. However, after revelations that her husband, Charles, is an anti-white bigot and that she adheres to class warfare politics, it's now being alleged that Ms. Sherrod presided over the crass exploitation of poor black workers on a southwest Georgia agricultural 'plantation,'" said Project 21 member Joe R. Hicks.

Hicks, a former executive director of the Greater Los Angeles chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and currently host of "The Hicks File" at PJTV.com, added: "The fellow making the claim is none other than Ron Wilkins, an ex-SNCC organizer, who should know what he's talking about. Wilkins says he once worked on the Sherrod-managed plantation in the 1970s. I know this guy from the early days of 'Black Power' politics in Los Angeles and he's known to be a straight shooter. If Wilkins claims are proven to be true, Sherrod owes an explanation and an apology -- not only to Wilkins but the other black farm workers she misused."

In an article posted on the left-wing Counterpunch web site on August 2, Ron Wilkins reported that Shirley Sherrod and her husband, Charles, helped manage the New Communities, Inc. farm in Albany, Georgia in the 1970s. Wilkins claimed the Sherrods and other managers "under-paid, mistreated and fired black laborers -- many of them less than 16 years of age -- in the same fields of southwest Georgia where their ancestors suffered under chattel slavery."

Wilkins, a former organizer for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee who is now a professor at California State University - Dominguez Hills, says he infiltrated the NCI operation in 1974 on behalf of a group overseeing NCI called the Emergency Land Fund. Wilkins claims his later efforts to organize NCI workers while working there led to his firing, eviction for an NCI-owned "shack" and arrest on "bogus" charges.

Wilkins added:
Shirley Sherrod was New Communities Inc. store manager during the 1970s. As such, Mrs. Sherrod was a key member of the NCI administrative team, which exploited and abused the workforce in the field. The 6,000-acre New Communities Inc. in Lee County promoted itself during the latter part of the 1960s and throughout the 70s as a land trust committed to improving the lives of the rural black poor. Underneath this facade, the young and old worked long hours with few breaks, the pay averaged sixty-seven cents an hour, fieldwork behind equipment spraying pesticides was commonplace and workers expressing dissatisfaction were fired without recourse.
In 1974, 67 cents had the purchasing power of $2.91 in 2009 dollars according to the website measuringworth.com. Wilkins claims he made $40 a week ($174 in 2009 dollars) at the time he was fired. His 2010 claims about conditions at the NCI farm and managers' anti-labor behavior are reported in a September 28, 1974 article in the United Farm Workers newspaper El Malcriado -- which specifically cites Charles Sherrod as a manager of the farm.

"It truly is shocking to see someone supposedly dedicated to civil rights now exposed for her involvement in the ugly exploitation of black workers approaching their total abuse in the ante-bellum South," said Deroy Murdock, a Project 21 member who is also a nationally-syndicated columnist with Scripps Howard News Service and media fellow with the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. "Once again, those on the right are supposed to be the 'bad guys' who make life difficult for black Americans. Yet here we have Shirley Sherrod, hailed as a black civil rights leader, allegedly taking advantage of poor black Americans, keeping them poor and firing those who complain about mistreatment."

Counterpunch is a web site edited by respected leftist journalists Alexander Cockburn and Jeffrey St. Clair. Wilkins' article can be found here, and a scan of the El Malcriado article can be found here while the entire newspaper in which the article is found is at http://tw0.us/MkU.

Wilkins reports that NCI went out of business in 1985.

Project 21, a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization sponsored by the National Center for Public Policy Research, has been a leading voice of the African-American community since 1992.
I will leave you with this last thought. Is it worth to gain the whole world and lose your own soul, Ms. Sherrod?

Sanity in Justice: Obamacare on Trial

In case you were wondering if we have any sane justices left since they threw out most of Arizona's illegal aliens statute SB 1070, relax. There are. Here is a report from the Heritage's Morning Bell:
Another Victory on the Road to Repeal.

Last month at a town hall in Hayward, Calif., a constituent asked Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA) about Obamacare: "If this legislation is Constitutional, what limitations are there on the federal government's ability to tell us how to run our private lives? … If they can do this, what can't they?" Stark, a long-time advocate of government-run health care, gave an honest yet troubling answer: "The federal government can, yes, do most anything in this country."

Yesterday a federal court in Virginia agreed with the logic, but not the Constitutional understanding, of Stark's view of federal government power. In the first substantive legal ruling on President Barack Obama's health regulation law, U.S. District Court Judge Henry Hudson held that the Commonwealth of Virginia raised a valid substantive theory to challenge Obamacare and that its democratically passed Virginia Health Care Freedom Act provided it standing to challenge the federal individual mandate. On the issue of that mandate, Hudson wrote: "Unquestionably, this regulation radically changes the landscape of health insurance coverage in America. ... No reported case from any federal appellate court has extended the Commerce Clause or the Tax Clause to include the regulation of a person's decision not to purchase a product, notwithstanding its effect on interstate commerce."

Echoing the court's ruling, Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli said: "This lawsuit is not about health care, it's about our freedom and about standing up and calling on the federal government to follow the ultimate law of the land – the Constitution." Continue reading.
Sweet.

Black on Black Truth?

I am so grateful for these brave men and women who speak out even though it is inpolitically correct to do so, to see that truth is not subverted by the very racists that extol it. I love my brothers and sisters, and you can't change that!

Black Conservatives Rebut Tea Party Racism Claims.

Here is the link for YouTube in case the video is not working.

Answering a question from a CNN reporter, Project 21 members Niger Innis (of the Congress of Racial Equality) and Bob Parks, along with Frantz Kebreau of the National Association for the Advancement of Conservative People of All Colors, question the validity of claims that the tea party movement is racist. Niger points out the "agent provocateur" angle, Bob talks about misrepresentation and Frantz questions whether the charges of racism are hyped from the very start.

Too much great stuff in here to summarize further. Just watch it all!

Okay, I have to share one great line from Niger Innis in the video above at the 6 minute mark: "Jackie Robinson did not complain about fastballs."
Hat tip: Amy Ridenour's National Center Blog of Project 21.

Yes, we are Conservatives. Yes, we care about the individual rights. Do you not understand that you also are an individual? Do not ever let anyone brainwash you into thinking you are not. You decide what you like to eat, watch on TV, whether or not you even like TV, what to wear, how to wear it, etc.

With so many decisions to be made, do you REALLY want the government's permission to do them all? Well, of course, except abortion. That way the democrats can keep the population down and have fewer black and hispanic voters because truth be told, it's the white vote that elects them.

If we took each and every vote by the blacks and hispanics, they still would not add up. Have you not noticed that things are always getting worse when you have democrat (and liberal republican) governors, mayors, councilmembers, etc?

I learned a long time ago that to keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result is foolish. Please, I care about individuals such as yourself. That is why I am saying this. If you would like to have an honest conservation, leave me a comment. We can work something out. Have a blessed day.
