Iran's Interest in Venezuela

President Hugo Chavez has decided to move forward with his ambitions to build nuclear plants despite warnings from his neighbors about his relationship with Iran. They are very uncertain about this alliance with a nation that is not very trusted in the world community, and see it as a threat to their very security.
"It could be used for industry and for continued medical uses, which the country needs to support hospitals... and the third element is for energy for the oil industry," she said.

Venezuela has backed Iran in its dispute with the United States and Europe over Tehran's nuclear program. U.S. officials accuse Iran of secretly working to produce nuclear arms, but Tehran says the program is only for civilian energy uses.
So, they want to go down that road? Notice they are NOT included in the CAFTA, but they are communists. We know what happens when commies come to town...remember!
Chavez, a former soldier who has promised to fight poverty, says his "new socialism" counters U.S. policies in Latin America and he has strengthened ties with Iran, Russia and Cuba to move away from a traditional reliance on Washington. [read more]
Let us also be aware that he has increased his army, increased pay, and has long-term plans to come against the USA.

I do not care which side of the aisle you are on, you must be aware for the life of this country. Surrounded by China, Mexico, Venezuela, the Carribians, and God only knows who else, we need to stay alert. Wake up, everyone! We are at war, or haven't you noticed?
