Update: We did it again! No H-2B visas!

I have just received the great news that all the phone calls we have made to our Congressional people have caused them to strip not only the Ag Jobs amnesty bill from the Defense supplemental, but we have also stripped the additional guest worker program! I am so proud of all of you for taking the time to call any congressman and senator whom you could through to yesterday. They must have had a very busy day with those phones, because I kept getting busy signals and hang-ups! No matter. We did it!

From now on we know that they are going to try to pass this amnesty bill, so we must not tire. We must not rest. We must be ready at a moments notice to shut down congress! We've done it before, and we've done it this time...twice. We must continue to watch them.

NumbersUSA has been keeping up to date. You may think about getting on their email list. You may also wish to put them on your sidebar so you can keep yourself informed.

Great job, friends. I know that you feel as I do. I just want the laws that already on the books to be followed, employers to be imprisoned, criminals to do their time and then be immediately deported, and allow the good people who are waiting while doing things the proper way a speedy process. Why should they have to wait 10 years, while someone who breaks our laws gets all the benefits of a citizen - including voting - without being deported forever. Banned from ever setting foot in this country again.

Is this too harsh? Our ForeFathers did not believe so. There are several diseases that we had gotten rid of that our now a health concern. You may not like it, but it is done both for the benefit of the USA citizens and the alien.

Do you have a problem with the word alien? If I were to go on a trip to London, I would be alien to that country. All it means is that it is not my native land. So get a grip, okay? Otherwise, I don't care if you're upset because only unreasonable people or illegal aliens (sometimes with both qualities) are upset so easily. Let me ask you something. Can you get so upset wherever it is you're trying to escape? Uh huh.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY on MAY 26, 2008.

Memorial Day Post Party Weekend

How does that work, anyway? Day=weekend? ~~huh?~~ Oh well. I've some news below.

My friend Rurik at Veteran-American Voices emailed this wonderful news a couple/few days ago. I would like to share it with you (obviously) as we kick off the Memorial Day weekend. The following is a re-post by WorldNetDaily. Happy Memorial Day

'Unlawful command influence' taints Murtha case.

Haditha ruling 'gives hope justice will rise above politics'

© 2008 WorldNetDaily.

A military prosecution of U.S. Marines involved in a 2005 firefight against insurgents in Haditha, Iraq, is tainted by "unlawful command influence," according to a judge in the case against Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani.

The ruling came yesterday from Col. Steven Folsom, who is hearing the case against the officer who was not at the scene of the attack on U.S. Marines, but is facing a court-martial based on allegations he did not accurately report or thoroughly investigate combat action between Marines he commanded and insurgents that resulted in the deaths of 15 Iraqis.

Lt. Col. Jeffrey ChessaniThe Nov. 19, 2005, firefight also resulted in 14 Marine casualties including one death. "Considering the politically charged nature of this case – and particularly this motion – Col. Folsom made a courageous decision," said Richard Thompson, president and chief counsel of Thomas More Law Center, which is defending Chessani.

The motion that cited circumstances including a public condemnation of the U.S. Marines by U.S. Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., before the conclusion of the investigation was brought to the military court by Law Center attorneys Robert Muise and Brian Rooney, both former Marines. Courts consider unlawful command influence the "mortal enemy of military justice" because it signifies that at some point during the development or prosecution of the case, decisions were made based on a commander's opinion or desire, rather than the facts themselves.

"Although the case is far from over, yesterday's ruling now forces prosecutors to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that: (1) the facts upon which the unlawful command influence is based are untrue; (2) those facts do not constitute unlawful command influence; or (3) the unlawful command influence will not affect the proceedings," the Law Center said. "The taint of unlawful command influence started from the inception of the investigation, when high-ranking Pentagon officials decided to make Lt. Col. Chessani a political scapegoat to appease a liberal anti-war press and politicians," Thompson continued.

"This ill-conceived prosecution has resulted in the removal of one of America's most effective combat commanders in Iraq by the Marine Corps' own standards. Although nothing can undo the harm caused to our nation and to Lt. Col. Chessani and his family, this ruling gives us hope that the military justice system will rise above the politics that fomented this prosecution and allow Lt. Col. Chessani, who devoted more than 20 years to the Marine Corps and to the defense of our nation, to get on with his life," he said.

Folsom's ruling said the defense met its burden of presenting "some evidence" of actual and apparent unlawful command influence. The Law Center said the decision was based on evidence that various generals who controlled the disposition of the case may have been influenced by Marine lawyer Col. John Ewers, who attended dozens of closed-session meetings in which the case was discussed. Ewers was an investigator of the Haditha firefight, and is a witness prosecutors plan to call in the case. "Consequently, he should not have been involved in any of the meetings," the Law Center said.

The counts against Chessani were triggered following a house-to-house, room-by-room battle four of his enlisted Marines engaged in on that day in 2005 after they were ambushed by insurgents in Haditha. "Even though Lt. Col. Chessani promptly reported the events of that day to his superiors, including the deaths of 15 noncombatant civilians caught in the battle, nobody in Lt. Col. Chessani’s chain of command believed there was any wrongdoing on behalf of the Marines," the law firm said. But months later, a Time magazine story "planted by an insurgent propaganda agent," caused Pentagon officials to order the investigation, the law firm said.

The article was followed quickly by Murtha's comments. He held a news conference and announced he'd been told by the highest levels of the Marine Corps there was no firefight and Marines "killed innocent civilians in cold blood. All the information I get, it comes from the commanders, it comes from people who know what they're talking about," Murtha told reporters.

Those statements conflicted with investigative results from the military itself. A first investigation by Army Col. G.A. Watt found "there are no indications that (Coalition Forces) intentionally targeted, engaged and killed noncombatants." Later, Army Maj. Gen. Aldon Bargewell found no coverup, the law firm said.

Folsom previously ruled that former Marine Commandant Michael Hagee will testify about his conversations with Murtha regarding the firefight in Haditha but that Murtha is being given an exemption and will not have to testify about his statements.

Eventually eight Marines were charged, but counts against five already have been dropped. Those defendants are Lance Cpl. Stephen Tatum, Capts. Randy Stone and Lucas McConnell, Sgt. Sanick P. Dela Cruz and Lance Cpl. Justin Sharratt. The case against Chessani continues, as do cases involving 1st Lt. Andrew Grayson and Staff Sgt. Frank Wuterich.

Congressman Murtha refuses to apologize to anyone for his lies, but he supports the troops. Yeah, and I'm Cleopatra...

Flight 93 Blogburst: 5.22.08

Blogburst logo, petition
Radio talk show host Mancow Muller is asking his listeners to help SHUT DOWN the crescent memorial to Flight 93. (Audio 27 seconds.) Mancow describes how the giant crescent points to Mecca, and how the four terrorists are consistently placed in the symbolic Islamic heavens (the crescent and star parts of the design), while the 40 heroes are consistently depicted as symbolically damned (placed outside of the symbolic Islamic heavens). Good stuff (1 min, 21 sec).

"You have to see it to understand..." says the pro-war libertarian host, directing his listeners to CrescentOfBetrayal.com where they can find pictures like this (a familiar sight for our blogburst readers):
40 tortured souls, 60%
The Tower of Voices. 40 symbolic souls, literally dangling down below an Islamic shaped crescent, soaring in the sky overhead. Using Islamic symbol shapes invites an Islamic interpretation, and in Islam if you don't go to heaven, you go to hell (the fate of ALL unbelievers). Forty symbolic souls, never to rest in peace, going for eternity in their symbolic Islamic damnation.

Mancow on civil disobedience

Congressman Tancredo was scheduled to come on Tuesday's show, but got stuck in a hearing. Near the end of the show, Mancow says Tancredo will be rescheduled, then he lays it on the line. He thinks his show and his listeners have the power stop this atrocity from being built, but if the crescent memorial does get built, he is going to take a sledgehammer to it. They can send him to jail. At that point it won't matter. There are limits to what Americans should stand by and take. (1 min, 21 sec).

Last week's show was good too, with segments from Tom Burnett Sr. (45 sec) and Alec Rawls (2 min, 49 sec). (Alec also did an hour long interview with Tracy at No Compromise blog radio last week. To listen, scroll down to May 15th.)

Robert Spencer

An unexpected extra came in the middle of Tuesday's show when Robert Spencer was on to talk about Islam. Mancow asked what Spencer thought about this memorial controversy and Robert stepped up with another piece of the expose, pointing out that the 9/11 date is to be placed on the center line of the giant crescent, in exactly the position of the star on an Islamic crescent and star flag. (43 seconds.) Exactly right. The date goes to the star on the Islamic flag. The date goes to the terrorists. Graphical proof here ("Terrorist memorializing feature #1"). With the difficulty of getting just the Mecca orientation across, the discussion almost never reaches these other explosive details. How does Mr. Spencer find the time to be so knowledgeable about so many things? You da MAN Robert!

Pilgrimage to Somerset

When Mancow is able to reschedule the two Tom's, Tom Burnett says he is going to urge listeners who want to visit the memorial to plan for the weekend of August 2nd, when the Memorial Project is scheduled to have its next public meeting. Then they can help protest the crescent design, and anyone can sign up to speak during the public comment period. Maybe we can even get Mancow to make the pilgrimage, and if Congressman Tancredo will call for a Congressional investigation, we just might be able to ram the food cart through the cockpit door. Just do it baby. Let's roll.

Wednesday Hero: 2nd Lt. Philip D. Palmer

Today we honor a wonderful man by the name of 2nd Lt. Philip D. Palmer from Charleston, South Carolina. This Marine earned the Silver Star for exceptional leadership while under fire and the ability to guide his young Soldiers through some very fierce fire fights in Iraq. Here is a little summary of one of them.

2nd Lieutenant Palmer.

Unshakable leadership under fire and the ability to guide young soldiers through fierce fighting defined Second Lieutenant Philip D. Palmer's mission as a combat advisor to the Iraqi Army.

Days after the “troop surge” was announced, a young second lieutenant would persevere under fire to lead a burgeoning Iraqi Army unit to victory. Second Lieutenant Philip D. Palmer of the United States Marine Corps was assigned to a Military Transition Team working with the 1st battalion of the Iraqi Army during operations in the Ma’Laab district in Ramadi, Iraq. The morning of January 14th, 2007, would serve as a defining moment in his life and the lives of all the Iraqi troops he shepherded through danger.

The Iraqi platoon, led by Iraqi Lieutenant Allah, worked its way through the dangerous city streets, unaware of what was ahead. As the patrol bounded ahead, gunfire erupted from nearby positions hitting Lieutenant Allah squarely in his armor. While the rounds were stopped by his layers of armor, he was shell-shocked and stunned by the near-death experience. With Allah paralyzed by fear and incapable of leading his men under such hectic conditions, Palmer seized the initiative.

Seeing that words alone would not be enough to organize this nascent Iraqi unit, Palmer knew he must act. Standing like a monolith in the face of incoming enemy fire, Palmer took command of the broken unit, rallying them through his bold example. Taking point, he pushed forward towards the attacking insurgents with his newly inspired Iraqi unit who followed close through the chaotic streets.

Palmer kept in mind the mission and the 13 Iraqis he was attached to as he led the fight against the insurgent forces. At the end of the day, he successfully concluded the operation and brought every one of the Iraqi soldiers back to base alive. His heroic assumption of command and leadership under intense attack earned him the Army Commendation Medal with Valor. [Source: DefenseLink.mil. (.pdf)]
He is amazing, and we all thank him. Especially the families of those 13 Iraqi Soldiers and his own family! Well, we Americans thank you also. We are proud of you, and God bless you.

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives
so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday.
For that, I am proud to call them Hero
.

News: Illegal aliens

I have a few articles for you today. The first one pertains to an article in which over 30,000 illegal aliens are stopped from voting in Arizona on May 12, 2008, another article concerns the arrests of several hundred illegal aliens in Iowa recently and one concerns Jameel Shaw.

First of all, this just goes to show you why the democrats wanted to keep ID's out of the hands of the voterless (illegal voters)! This is just the same as those folks who only come out of their graves on election day. Amazing how do that! To read about this article, please visit Stephen Frank's website.

Second we have a story that you may already be familiar with, but I still think it's important to remind you so you will get off your buns and call the Congress tomorrow toll free at 1-866-340-9281 and tell them to take out the H-2B visas! Yes, they took out the Ag Workers Amnesty bill from the War budget, but this is hidden in there! Reid left in the bill another giant increase of UNSKILLED imported seasonal GUEST WORKERS, from 66,000 to over 400,000 annually by 2011!

Who is eligible?

The H2B visa is available to employers of foreign workers not working in the agricultural field. This visa is only available for work that is temporary in nature. For H2B purposes, that means:

**Recurring seasonal need;
**Intermittent need;
**Peak-load need; and
**One time occurrence.

The employer must also prove that there are no unemployed US workers willing or able to do the work. This is established through the state's employment agency using a labor certification process. This process requires a recruitment campaign, including advertising in a local newspaper for available temporary workers.

Visa validity.

The duration of the visa is limited to the employer's need for the temporary workers. The maximum authorized period is one year. However, the employer may extend the duration of the visa up to three years -- but with a very close watch from the immigration authorities. [Source: H2B visa.]
This article is exactly the reason why we certainly do NOT need anymore illegal aliens in our country. How many more people have to die before we, the American people, the citizens of these United States, have a say in who is and is not allowed into this country?

While this article is about the arrest of illegal aliens who are taking jobs away from you and me, the news about Jameel's name is being dragged through the mud. He was 17 years old, lived in Los Angeles, a fabulous football player, had great grades, and he was murdered by an illegal alien who was released from jail not 24 hours prior to murdering him. Why was he in jail? Possession of a weapon illegally. Let's go through this again. He's illegal. He illegally has possession of a gun. He's arrested. Because in Las Angeles you are not allowed to ask anyone's. ANYONE'S, status for being in the United States, he is released and allowed to murder a nice young man.

Now someone has gone into myspace and made up some crap about him. They put things on it to make it appear that he was in a gang. Let me explain this to you. GANG MEMBERS DO NOT GET GOOD GRADES, SCHOLARSHIPS FOR COLLEGE, and that's the bottom the line. I could open a site right now and call myself George W. Bush! Would people believe it was his? Only idiots that do not understand how the internet works.

So what is happening? The news is reporting it as if it were fact. They are trying to destroy this man, although he's already dead and cannot defend himself, so that they can rationalize why he was murdered. HUH? EVEN IF it were his site, whatever happened to, 'Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me'?

Parents, get a hold of your children! Illegals, get out of my country! America, wake up. Mexico wants the area from Texas to Utah and westward in their possession. Maybe you don't live here, but I do. I'm not giving it up. I need your help, though. When the war breaks out, I may not make it. You can bet I will try my best. I am an AMERICAN. It is in my blood. Is it in yours?

Fighting in South Sudan may ignite civil war?

In my last post, I covered the basics of Sudan. I told you about the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) between Muslim North Sudan and Christian native black South Sudan which was signed on April 8, 2005. Now the Sudanese government has moved into an oil-rich southern town with its army to take over the oil which is in dispute between the two governments over its borders (North and South), and the fighting has broken out again. Will there be another civil war? Will the South finally win so the media can stop calling the Christians rebels?

I do not know. I pray the Christians kick their behinds once and for all. Enough is enough.

Okay, maybe I need to do better job of explaining, just in case you didn't read this article. The Muslim North Sudan was in a state of civil war with the native black Christian South from 1956, when they received their freedom the UK, until 1972. Then they began another civil war 11 years later which lasted ~22~ years with the Southern native black Christians. Two million people perished. Haven't you heard? The USA didn't do it, the freakin' Arabs did! I guess that's why it didn't bother anyone that the Muslims were committing genocide against CHRISTIANS. They were also native to the land, which means the ARABS were not. Enough said, eh? Not on your life. I will talk about this until someone who can do something about it hears me!

If you would care to read the articles about this situation, here are a few: Fighting in Sudan town raises civil war fears (Rosemary's Thoughts.wordpress.com, because CNN changes their stories or they just disappear), Sudan: Fighting resumes between army and former southern rebels in oil-rich town of Abyei, Fighting in Sudan oil town kills 21 soldiers-army - SignOnSanDiego.com, and Same article just before this one, only this is on WordPress. I do this in case the article disappears. This has happened before, if you couldn't tell. I like to be able to read my sources, not find them gone!

BTW, these articles will not say what I've stated so clearly here, and that is because of the Muslims. The media is government owned. Imagine if our press was government owned? I can only shudder to think how many people would be behind bars! Why do these so-called reporters allow them to control what they write? Because they are so-called reporters! Now if you really want to know what is going on in Sudan, you must watch it carefully to know when and who is lieing. You can usually assume it is the government but not always. Try the religious groups in the area. (I'm sorry, but I can't find any right now. I've been at this article since yesterday, and it's time to move on to today.)

Sudan: A history lesson

Sudan gained its independence in the year 1956, but unfortunately it became a tug of war between the Arab North and the African South. It was a civil war between non-muslims, non-arabs, and it lasted until 1972. War broke out again between the North and the South in the year 1983. This time the war lasted until 2005 when the North/South Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) was signed in January of 2005.

During these periods of time, more than 4 million people were displaced and 2 million people were killed or died due to the famine imposed by the power hungry islamists from the North. They have been trying to dominate the land politically, economically and socially ever since its independence. I guess it's pretty easy to govern a country without any citizens, eh? Back to the facts. Sudan has a population of 40.2 million people. The median age is 18.9 years old.

In 2003, the Darfur region became the next victim of these islamic thugs. I have a problem with this date of 2003, since we went into Darfur around that time for a few months. However this is the date that the CIA gives, and we all know how accurate they are, eh? (I'm speaking of the upper echelon.)

The CIA claims that 200,000 - 400,000 people have been murdered. Now, let me ask you a question. When you see a poll, a survey, a whatever, and it has more than +/- 3% difference, do you accept that as fact? No? GOOD! It is beyond 500,000. I have personally been following this, and at one point the Sudanese government was murdering over 1000 people a day. And no one said a word. No one did anything. THIS bothers me. Whatever happened to, 'Never again'?

Since December 31, 2007, the UN is trying to lay claim to the African Union (AU) who has been trying to keep the peace between Darfur and the muslims. The CIA states that as of early 2008, the peacekeeping troops have been struggling to do their jobs. Well, I have news for the CIA! Since they first began in April 8, 2004, after the first peace agreement, they have not had the backing of anyone. Period.

This war has spread over into Chad and the Central Africa Repuclic. It has caused instability to its entire region. Sudan seems comfortable enough to enter these country with its military and/or the janjaweed, and who's there to stop them? Certainly not anyone who has the power to stop these little twirps.

Besides these incursions, Sudan has also had a large refugee population (if you can believe that!) from neighboring Ethiopia and Chad. This, however, does not help these people since the wars, poor transportation, poor infrastruction and a government that would rather have you dead anyway, it makes getting aid to these people almost impossible.

Why the history lesson? The CIA seems to have left out one of the main reasons I wanted to delve into this issue. In 1993, these animals dragged two of our men through their streets in Somalia, and we did nothing. Sudan wanted to get off the terrorist list in the USA, so they offered us Osama bin Laden in 1996. We did nothing.

He had his group of thugs with him. You know those 'nice gentlemen' who blew up the embassies in 1998? What did we do? Nothing. Well, it amounted to nothing. Then there was the USS Cole where we lost 17 men and women. What did we do? Not. A. D***. Thing.

Then President Bush came into office, and we were hit on our own soil. All eyes were on him, because he was the president. I guess there was something like a time warp, because that is the only thing that can explain why terrorism began only AFTER the IRAQ theater. Does no one remember the Twin Towers? Do they not remember all the people we lost that awful day?

I shake my head in disbelief when I hear Sen. Obama (you have to very careful not to mention his middle name is Hussein!) talk about foreign policy. He will walk into the Oval Office without a clue (as would I, so this is not personal) as to what is truly happening in the world, including Iraq.

He wants us out of Iraq. No debate as to why it is reasonable to stay, no listening to the Maliki government (but hey, don't worry. He'll talk with Ahmadinejad!), no mention of how close we are to the victory.

These thugs were in Afghanistan, so he may send all of troops over there for target practice. Why did they end up in Afghanistan, you ask? Good question which helps me tie this all together. After a lot of pressure, bin Laden was forced to leave Sudan. Is bin Laden the only jihadi, or are there more? I haven't heard of him putting on a suicide belt, so I must assume that there are more than just him. Did they all leave Sudan? NO, they did not.

They still have their training camps in Sudan. They have thrown the people out of their homes of the high mountains. They have been growing in numbers, and they are planning another attack. I wonder why the CIA made no mention of this? All you have to do is pay attention. I guess that's too much to ask of the people we hire to protect this country. Maybe it's because they just want to be politically correct? To heck with that!

Sudan is a hot spot for jihadis, people are suffering genocide, and no one is saying a word. That is my purpose for writing this. My promise to the people who cannot make their voices heard will not allow me to remain silent.

Do I have a plan of action? Yes. Take out the government, and do the old time 'Marshall Law'. It's doable, and we could exterminate many of our enemies. The people could go back to their homes afterward, and we would have one less training ground for the jihadis. All in all, I like it.

Oh, did mention the most important thing? Islam must be killed. It must be outlawed. It must be exterminated. Then and only then will people be able to live in peace. Just look at the world map today and point to all the wars. What is the common thread? Islam.

Osama bin Laden is a moderate muslim

Is this a correct statement? Let us consider the facts, the evidence as some may say.

I have read much this week (and in the past) about the Koran, terrorism, torture, rape, molestation, slavery, Muslims, moderation, and much more. Today I will focus on how the Muslims who are faithful to the Koran consider Kafirs (non-believers).

Let me define some words as we begin our study of the evidence.

Kafir:

The kafirs are condemned to Islamic Hell because we don't accept Mohammed as any kind of prophet or leader. We are the dhimmis, the slaves, and the slain of every continent. Unfortunately, the kafirs are the ignorant, the unknowing and the frightened. We don't know anything about the 270 million dead killed in the name of Allah. But consider the rest of our vast ignorance...1
Here is another defination of the same word according to Muslims:
The usual translation of this Arabic word is unbeliever, but unbeliever is only a very small part of its meaning. It is the Koran that defines the word "kafir" and it says the most terrible things can happen to them. The Koranic doctrine about kafirs says they are hated and are Satan’s friends. Kafirs can be robbed, killed, tortured, raped, mocked, cursed, condemned and plotted against. The Koran does not have one good thing to say about kafirs. 2
Now let us define 'Moderate Muslim' as the Muslims define it:
Islamic doctrine defines what is moderate and not moderate. Since we are dealing with Islam, we need to know that the doctrine is dualistic. Islam can have two doctrines about any issue. This follows from the Koran. The early Koran, which was written in Mecca is generally religious. The Koran written in Medina is very political and includes jihad. The two Korans are not only very different, but they also contradict each other in major ways.

So we have the possibility of two kinds of moderate Muslims, since we have two doctrines. Osama bin Laden is a moderate Muslim, who follows the Koran of Medina, the Koran of jihad. Kafirs call him an extremist or radical Muslim. Actually, Osama obeys the Koran of Medina and the Sunna of Mohammed, so he is a moderate, pious Medinan Muslim.

The jihadists on September 11, 2001 were all moderate Medinan Muslims. They were not extremists or radicals. 2
Does this not bother a whole lot of people besides me that our government is so ignorant to these facts? Now that we have gained a very little deeper understanding as to how the Muslims truly think about us, let us see what these definitions have led to in the past and what we have done about it. This is the only way we will be able to learn how to deal with our enemy.
For over the last 1400 years, 270 million kafirs have died as a result of the political doctrine of Islam. It is the biggest single source of suffering in the history of the world. 2

--Almost none of our diplomats and "experts" have never read any of the Trilogy, nor were they taught the doctrine of political Islam in college.
--Jews and Christians do not know about the Arabian Annihilation (the elimination of all Jews and Christians from Arabia).
--People don't know that white women were the slaves of choice among Muslims for 1400 years.
--Our media and intellectuals do not acknowledge rape of the kafirs as a weapon of war.
--Christians don't realize that they lost half their territory and 60 million people to Islam in Turkey, Syria, and North Africa.
--Political Islam destroyed half of Hindu culture.
--Political Islam annihilated most of Buddhist culture.
--Islam destroyed all of the native religious culture of Africa in Islamic areas. 1
Well, I suppose this may come as a shock to some people, it did to me and I know a tiny bit more about this topic than the average American. How can this be? Why do I know more about Communism than this war they have declared against us over 230 years ago?

This is probably why Bill Warren wrote this article, "An Ethical Basis for War Against Political Islam," and sat down for an interview to discuss the "Kafir Dreams" with FrontPageMag.com. Mr. Warren is the director of the Center for the Study of Political Islam. He is also the spokesman for Political Islam.com.

My question to you is this, does this change anything? Is this so out of the 'norm' that you will not even consider it? I remember a time, long ago now, when there were many who said it was crazy to throw off the yoke of England. We would be called traitors, we would be hanged. (Okay, maybe I wasn't actually there, but it is part of our history!) Are we going to remain ignorant as to who the enemy truly is in this war?

Am I declaring that all of Islam is at war with us? Yes, I am. We need to read up on this, because our political people, the State Department, the CIA, the FBI, the police, and anyone else who works for the government has never tackled these issues. They refuse to look into this possibility out of fear (which is also covered in these articles). Until we open our eyes and face the truth, we are sitting targets. I have been called many things in my life, but never a coward. I am not about to be a target. Are you?

What I did on my day off

Today felt good in one sense, not so good in another. We're still having that global-warming heat wave (they used to call it Summer), but I still got a lot of reading under my belt. Here is list of really great reads:

Right Truth: PATIENT EVIL - An R.J. Godlewski / Right Truth Blog Exclusive - Chapter Five. This is an excellent book! Wow. What a wonderful writer that Mr. Godlewski is. I recommend this book, chapter by chapter.

Then there was Jonn's article, IVAW takes the Road Show to Congress. That's right, the illiterate Iraqi Vets Against the War were in Congress in front of the socialist party to give their report. I read Jonn's, but there is also Thus Spake Ortner who liveblogged from the comfort of his home and to cover the rest. You may be able find something over at Gathering of Eagles, Free Republic, or many of the milblogs.

Another very interesting post I've been reading, which I believe would open many eyes, is Political Islam. This is definitely an eye-opener. Were you aware that OBL is a moderate Muslim? Hmm. Read this article then!

I received an e-mail from American Free Congress with an article I could not find because I could not get into get into Front Page Magazine, but I was able to find someone who had the interview over at Doctor Bulldog and Robin. The title of the article is "Kafir Dream." These two articles will open our eyes wider than they already are, if you can believe that. I can now!

There were a few more articles I read such as how Sen. Kennedy is doing (put your politics aside, and send out your prayers), and a few more I don't even remember. I read Blackfive's feed, and I read Readjustment And Trivia by Bill and Bob's Excellent Afghan Adventure. My friend has been back in the states for a little more than a month. If you wish to know how the media is effecting our Soldiers, read this. Grab a kleenex first, though. Maybe I'm just too close to this one, but I feel so helpless. God bless your family and you, M.

Well, that's it for now. If I read your site and forgot to mention you, it wasn't out of meanness. This is the first time in a LONG time that I took the time off to just read. I must say, I rather enjoyed it! ;)

Hat tip: Blackfive for the articles about IVAW (plus they have their own article).

Petraeus praises Iraqi police performance

MNFI.

BAGHDAD (May 12, 2008) — U.S. Army Gen. David Petraeus said the courage of the Iraqi police and the Iraqi Security Forces while working together helped drive down the level of violence and level of civilians deaths in Iraq in the last 15 months at the Baghdad Police Summit last week. Speaking before a Baghdad Police Summit, Petraeus, commander of the Multi-National Force-Iraq, told an audience of approximately 180 participants that "the decrease in violence has been very significant." He noted the Iraqi Police had also made huge gains in manning, training and equipping their force, all of which will strengthen the police in the future.

"We have seen in the past year in communities like Salman Pak where the police have gone back into that these communities have come back to life," said Petraeus. "Markets have been renewed and businesses and schools reopened. Clearly, we have seen progress." He said "Al-Qaeda and other criminal groups will try to re-establish their presence in these communities. The Iraqi Security Forces will have to remain vigilant to secure the peace in these communities. It will take a strong effort, but it is achievable." Petraeus said, "It is an honor for me to be your partner in this effort to bring peace to the citizens of Iraq."

Minister of Interior Jawad al Bolani said the "Iraqi policemen love their country and they are trying to bring peace to Iraq. In Sadr City, the Iraqi government continues to target the criminal element, gangs and terrorists there. We will not stop until we have rid the city of these criminals. We do not target civilians," Bolani said.

Bolani added the Ministry of Interior will expand its training facilities to train more police this year as well as build new police stations. "We are now facing many challenges from the criminals and terrorists who are against the Iraqi people's hope for progress and to live in peace," said Bolani. "They have failed to stop Iraq. I see in the end that the Iraqi people will get the victory."

Brig. Gen David Phillips, director general of the Civilian Police Assistance Training Team, said the Coalition and the Ministry of Interior will work together in building two new training centers in Baghdad this year that will increase training seats by 3,800. He said 18 new expedient police stations will open by June and 14 new permanent police stations will open in Baghdad by the end of 2008.

Iraqi judges get computers, legal software

by Spc. Amanda McBride
4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division Public Affairs Office

FOB KALSU (May 12, 2008) — More than 15 judges and court administrators from Babil, Najaf and Diwaniyah Provinces received new laptops and a judicial software program here May 7 from Soldiers in the Judge Advocate Section, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division. The 4th BCT computer distribution is a continuation of efforts begun by Multi-National Division – Center's Rule of Law team to distribute state-of-the-art laptops to Iraqi judges.

Judges from the Babil, Najaf and Diwaniyah Provinces received new laptops and a software program designed specifically for their work May 7 on FOB Kalsu. The judges also received a class on how to properly use the computers and software. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. Amanda McBride)"We provided laptops to … judges from different provinces south of here in order to help them with the administration of their particular court," said Maj. Thomas Hurley, 4th BCT judge advocate general. The laptops provided will give judges the knowledge to effectively process and retrieve criminal cases.

The software gives them access to the Iraqi legal code and books dating back from 1917. "Today, the judges are receiving judicial laptops, which basically takes all the Iraqi laws and law books and puts them into one system that is centrally located on a laptop so they can be more mobile," said Spc. Wallis Lacey, Rule of Law team, 3rd Inf. Div. "It allows judges to do legal research at home, work or wherever they need to."

To date, more than 55 judges from the surrounding area have received laptops after four distributions, plus a class on how to properly use the computers and software. Prior to these laptops, trying to find information on past cases was difficult and at times almost impossible due to many still using low-tech storage systems.

"We hope the judges have it easier, as far as looking up laws," Lacey said. "It allows them to be able to go anywhere and have laws right on the laptop and not have to carry a lot of books around." Hurley said despite personal safety risks the judges have faced, they continue doing their job because they know it is right. "They still come to work and still try to participate the best that they can," Hurley said. "It's truly inspiring."
