Founders' Daily Quote, Tue. 8 July 2008

"As our president bears no resemblance to a king so we shall see the Senate has no similitude to nobles. First, not being hereditary, their collective knowledge, wisdom, and virtue are not precarious. For by these qualities alone are they to obtain their offices, and they will have none of the peculiar qualities and vices of those men who possess power merely because their father held it before them."

--Tench Coxe (An American Citizen, No.2, 28 September 1787); Reference: Independent Gazeteer.

Oh, if they could only see the Senate now! Not to mention the connections between sons and fathers in the Congress, Senate and presidency. They not only have the arrogance of ruling OVER us, they choose to try to do it in the dark of the night! Ah, but we are watching. Maybe not all of us, maybe not as many as should, but we are watching your ever step and ever bill passed and every penny spent and every trip taken while you complain to us that you have no money. HA! You do not pay for your car, you do not pay for your housing, you do not pay for your food. Might I ask a simple question? What the heck are we paying for if you have no need of money? You want to go after the robbers of our money? Start with yourselves!

May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you the rest of the way until you can.
