The Middle East may be at the point of finally showing her true colors. This is good in the sense I would prefer the truth than the lies that come from doublespeak.
'They' have been protesting for 4 days now, and the Egyptian military continues to mow them down. There remains only one question. Who are 'they'
Are they from the Muslum Brotherhood? Is this a reaction from the original protestors who were tired of religous intolerance, drastic punishments, murder for protesting, etc?
I ask this because I truly do not know who is in charge of Egypt. I am afraid they may lose many millions of dollars from visitors in the coming years. At least until we can figure out what is the religious make up of Egypt. If it is sharia law, you can say good-bye to prosperity; hello poverty.
Now for some humor relief. The New York Times seems to think noise is not that big of a deal. As a matter of fact, they think it's just swell! Ask The Cairo Calls! Please leave a comment, not a phone call. ;)
I pray for Egypt. I hope you will do the same. Merry Christmas. When you open your presents, please remember those Christians that are stuck in the Middle East through this transition and acknowledge them with prayer. Thank you.
Hat tip: Big Pharaoh.
May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you the rest of the way until you can walk along side Him again.
