John

Who was John? He was my brother, my best friend, an artist, a person who could calm any argument, and so much more. John went to Heaven November 12, 2010, at 8:36 pm officially, but I saw the clock say 7:11 pm. The official time is when the doctor came to turn off the ventilator. His heart stopped at 7:11 pm.

I love my brother, John, and he loved me. He took very good care of me, much more than I deserved. That’s for sure. John was such a special man not only to me, but to many others as well.

He was generous, unselfish, kind, loving, strong, warm, and he was very much a great man. I miss him so dearly and my only comfort is the knowledge that he is now in Heaven with God.

I would like to thank everyone who has been praying for us through this very difficult time. It is sincerely appreciated.

I must now get ready to go to the funeral home to make arrangement. I was hoping by writing this, I could find some strength. I believe the only strength I have right now is that of our Lord’s. I’ll accept that! Have a blessed day everyone, and remember to tell your loved ones that you love them. You never know when it will be the last time you see them on earth

May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you the rest of the way until you can walk along side Him again.

  1. I lost my brother 9 years ago & then my mother 6 months later & my father 5 months ago. I think about them often so it is good to have wonderful memories of them. They make me smile.

  2. Rosemary, I am very sorry for your loss. I am sorry for you, but not for John- as he's in the place where so many of us long to be. I have and will continue to pray for you dear sister, for comfort, peace and strength- and whatever you need that the Lord would sustain you. God Bless you and hold you close right now.

  3. Yes, that is helping me to get through this. All the wonderful memories we have. At the same time, that is what is making me cry. However my brother told me that he wanted no tears for him, so I try really not to cry. Funny isn't it? The harder I try not to cry, the more I do! Oh well, this too shall pass...not. I love him so much...

  4. PS. I am sorry for your loss. That is a lot to handle. (Pardon me, please, for being so rude as to not mentioning this in my first comment.) I pray the Peace of God that this world does not understand will and has surrounded your family and you. I lift you up to God so He may hide you underneath His wing. In Jesus' precious name I pray, Amen.

  8. Thank you very much Mary. I'm pretty sure I received the best from my brother, better than he received from me. (Yes, I tried to do well by him, he is just so awesome!) God bless your family and you as well. May He always have His arms around you. :)
