We Must Purge Political Islam From America

Below is a press release by Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser, a Muslim who has been trying for many years to call other Muslims to the reality that they need not be afraid in America. He has also been trying to explain to Americans who are not Muslims the difference between Political Islamists and good Muslims and what Political Islam is. American Muslim Organization calls for Shahzad to be treated as a traitor.

Actions of Times Square bomber, a naturalized US citizen, were treasonous.

PHOENIX (May 6, 2010) - Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser, a devout Muslim and the president and founder of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy issued the following statement regarding the attack of Faisal Shahzad on New York's Times Square.

"The actions of Faisal Shahzad a naturalized US citizen on May 1, 2010 were a calculated and deliberate act of treason. Shahzad's cowardly attempt to kill innocent Americans in Times Square clearly demonstrates his loyalty lies with the Islamist radicals and not his chosen countrymen in the United States. His actions were a result of his faith in the supremacy of an Islamic State over the United States. His citizenship oath was given falsely in 2009 and was in the direct service of powers at war with the United States. His prosecution should encompass the gravity of those actions. No different from Hassan Abujihad convicted in 2008, Nidal Hasan and other Islamist traitors Shahzad if guilty is an enemy of the state and should be immediately legally treated as one.

Whether we declare it or not the United States is at war with the ideology of militant Islamism. Islamists are not afraid to call for the complete destruction of the principles that built our great country. The United States cannot afford to be timid in our response to their actions. Our citizens must abandon the paralyzing fears of political correctness and engage in long overdue genuine theo-political debates about the dangerous separatism of political Islam and its radicalizing effects.

Our elected officials must show true ideological leadership if we are to ever begin the long process of ridding ourselves of the scourge of Islamist terrorism. We cannot cower to victim-mongering organizations that thrive on keeping us from addressing the very real threats to our security. Platitudes that only condemn violence and ignore common ideology will not bring about the necessary reforms which can eventually prevent radicalization.

At the American Islamic Forum for Democracy we believe that it is incumbent on our elected leaders to engage in the war of ideas and demonstrate that the rule of one law that protects universal religious freedom takes precedence over the Islamic state. America in fact provides the best atmosphere for Muslims to practice our faith and it is time for us to empower honest reformist Muslims to declare the 'Islamic state' dead. We will never slow down the recurrence of Islamist terror against our citizenry until such a movement from Muslims against political Islam is palpable."

I understand that are many Americans who may not believe there are any 'good' Muslims because they don't hear about their protests, they don't read their denunciations of Muslims violence against innocent civillians without throwing Israel into the mix, they don't see any of this.

This man has served in our Military. He love this country. He is trying to bring this to the light. You may choose to believe whatever you will, but if he had as much coverage as CAIR you must ask yourselvs, "Would I still believe as I do?"

Coalition partners honor Poland with ceremony

TAMPA, Fla. (April 15, 2010) — Coalition partners and representatives from U.S. Central Command gathered at MacDill Air Force base her[e] April 15 to offer their sincere condolences to the Polish Liaison Team after the tragic plane crash that took the lives of the Polish president, first lady and other high level military and political leaders on April 10.

The service was at held at the Base Chapel and was attended by more than 300 people, including special guests, representatives of the local Polish community (Priests of Mercy of God Polish mission St. Petersburg, Polish Center of John Paul II and the Polish Highlanders Association.)

The service started at 3 p.m. with a processional song followed by an opening prayer and an introduction of reflection given by the Polish Senior National Representative, Colonel Zbigniew Lenarczyk.

In his speech, Col Lenarczyk welcomed and thanked the participants for showing their deepest condolences and their sympathy for this unimaginable tragedy that hit Poland, taking the life of the Superior of the Polish Armed Forces, President of Poland, Lech Kaczyński with his wife among the 96 passengers of that tragic flight of April 10, 2010.

Maj. Gen. Jay W. Hood, Chief of Staff of USCENTCOM, opened his speech regretting being joined together in such a somber occasion. On behalf of General Petraeus, Commander of USCENTCOM, he emphasized the shock and sadness of all the people in the U.S. Central Command for the tragedy suffered by Poland and their friends.

“The loss of President Kaczyński, first lady Maria Kaczyński, Chief of Defense Staff General Gagor and many senior government leaders traveling with them in memory of 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre is a tragic loss and we grieve with you. The power of Polish national character has been toughened over the centuries through many challenges and hardships and this ensures that you will not only get over this tragedy but also a stronger Poland emerges," Hood said.

The service concluded with the respective anthems of Poland and the United States.

Elliot Spitzer Attack on U.S. Chamber of Commerce is Left-Wing Politics at its Worst

Washington D.C.: This statement was issued today by Tom Borelli, Ph.D., director of the Free Enterprise Project:

"Elliot Sptizer's commentary in Slate ("Chamber of Horrors") calling for state pension funds to pressure corporations to leave the U.S. Chamber of Commerce reminds us of his past efforts to climb the political ladder on the backs of business executives.

Instead of worrying about the Chamber, state officials should be investigating pension funds for potential conflicts of interest and using their shareholder standing to advance the left-wing agenda.

Spitzer's commentary exposes the left-wing strategy of using public money to advance its cause. Spitzer's political motivation is clear: because the Chamber is fighting cap-and-trade and "Card Check" they need to be taken out.

While Attorney General of New York, Spitzer used the power of the state and his sharp elbows to loot business leaders of their property and reputation.

Spitzer's legal assault against former New York Stock Exchange head Dick Grasso serves as a prime example. In this case, New York was forced in to a drawn-out legal battle because Grasso and Ken Langone -- a NYSE board member -- refused to genuflect at Spitzer's altar.

Spitzer's investigation "included 1,454 hours of depositions" and, ironically, he attacked Grasso's personal life. Spitzer deposed Grasso's secretary and inquired about an affair, and, during his nine-day deposition, Grasso was asked if he had a love child.

Paradoxically, it's the pension funds that need investigation by state officials. For years, state pension funds have been working with labor unions and environmental groups to advance the left-wing agenda, including pressuring corporations to address global warming. Pension funds, facing serious shortfalls, should focus their time and efforts on investment strategies -- not politics.

In fact, a front page story, "Calpers Rocked By 'Pay-to-Play;" in today's Wall Street Journal reports on a possible conflict of interest involving a former board member who "reaped more than $50 million in fees for arranging investments that could saddle state taxpayers with hundreds of millions of dollars in losses."

Spitzer is nothing more than a left-wing political hack leading the charge against liberty and free-markets."
