Welcome

Originally posted on Knickerbocker News at 10/31/04.

Welcome to this new site. We will be providing news that is not usually covered or carried to competion. We find this missing in today's media. It does not inspire anyone when we are told there is a problem, flood, fire, war, whatever, and then not being informed on the results of the situation or what we may do to help.

Are you aware that Pakistan and India are having peace talks? Yes, it is a great success to get them to speak to each other, and the success belongs to them! We almost had a nuclear war, yet you did not hear of this. This is how I hope to enlighten the conversations and education. I do believe it is vitally important to keep a people willing to care, you must tell the whole truth...that means the good, bad, beautiful, and ugly. We will start reporting shortly. WE research our articles. (Couldn't resist that dig!)

If you find any bias, please bring it to the attention of Miss Davidian. She is the Editor-in-Chief and wishes success for us all. Success for you is success for us. You may reach her through the e-mail using RE: Miss Welch. Please leave a small description in the title. Thank you.

More than one reason to drop in on Sudan This is a site I ran across back in August, and I highly recommend it. You can find news on just about any place of interest to you.

Hat tip to Kathy Kinsley.

Karzai Is Clear Winner, Afghan Vote Results Show. (New link.)

HERAT, Afghanistan, Oct. 24 (AP) -- President Hamid Karzai has won a majority of votes in Afghanistan's election, clinching a five-year term and becoming the country's first democratically elected president, according to preliminary results released Sunday.

With 94.3 percent of the votes counted, Karzai was winning 55.3 percent, or 4.2 million, of the votes cast, enough to avoid a runoff, the Joint Electoral Management Body reported. Any showing of less than 50 percent would have required a runoff between the top two vote-getters, according to the Afghan constitution. Even if all the votes that are currently uncounted went to his rivals, Karzai would still win a majority. An official announcement may be made later this week.

Well, well. How about that! I am so happy for Afghanistan, and I will be just as happy for Iraq after their elections. Freedom is on the march! (It is now March 1, 2009, and I am sorry Karzai ever got into this. He is destroying Afghanistan.)

DEADLY FLASH POINT AND A FORGOTTEN U.S. WAR.
Against popular belief, Communist China is NOT becoming more democratized. Free trade is not working. China is our enemy.

"Relations with Taiwan are governed by the Taiwan Relations Act, which stipulates that the U.S. is bound to assist Taiwan in defense against attack. Congress passed the Act in April 1979, after U.S. President Jimmy Carter stripped Taiwan of formal recognition as the true government of China, and recognized the Communist government in Beijing as the sole government of the Chinese people."

"Neither sanctions from the world community, nor the threat of the loss of the 2008 Olympics, would deter China from invading Taiwan, if the moment seemed right....

Pakistan News.
"Indo-Pak. Peace Treaty talks Move Forward"
By Iftikhar Gilani.

NEW DELHI: India and Pakistan have signed a nine-point agreement to improve cooperation between border forces but India refused Pakistan’s demand to stop fencing and constructions near the border.Indian and Pakistani border forces agreed to combine efforts against border crimes such as smuggling and human trafficking and strengthen border patrols after four days of talks in Chandigarh between India’s Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers." Full story. Unfortunately, I learned that I should have stored this article, because many people and newspapers move the articles. My apologies.

I have tried to find that story, but this is as close as I could get:

Peace process moving at ‘good speed’: Musharraf.

Dubai, June 5
Observing that the peace process with India is moving ahead at a “fairly good speed”, Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has expressed optimism that issues of Siachen and the construction of the Kishenganga hydro-power project in Jammu and Kashmir will be resolved peacefully.

Musharraf, who arrived on a two-day visit to the UAE yesterday, said the conducive environment of goodwill, witnessed now, had never been there before.

“We have had the joint statement, which was not there earlier when we went to discuss peace with India...so things are moving in the right direction,” he was quoted as saying by the local media here.

“The peace process is moving ahead at a fairly good speed, but it will take time to remove the hatred of 50 years, when both countries went to war three times, besides tens of skirmishes,” he said. — PTI

Yes, it is the whole article. I don't wish to lose the news again!

Maqbool is hopeful the centre will bring about a revolution in e-commerce and technology." Wouldn't it be nice if the only wars were trade wars?!

"...PMKP had decided to hold a two-day ‘World anti-imperialist conference’ in Lahore from November 27, said the communist leader...Political parties from Afghanistan, Nepal, India, Britain and the Philippines had confirmed their participation in the conference... Azeem said it was the form of government system that had failed in the former Soviet Union and not communism or socialism. The communist system was for the welfare of mankind, he said." Full story. This is a story I recommend you read. The Kurdish peoples helped us tremendously. Now it is time for us to help them. You should visit a great Kurdish site at Kurdistan Bloggers Union (KBU).

Sorry about the missing links. This happened in my very beginning of getting my own site. I have learned so much since then. (Hardly enough!) Just for your convenience, I have started keeping a record of writings just in case this occurred again. I don't remember how long ago I started this site, but it is mostly what others have written. Some of it includes other writers at Love America First. This makes sense, because the name of the site I am referring to is Love America First-2.) :)

The Federalist: Founders' Daily Quote

"It should be your care, therefore, and mine, to elevate the minds of our children and exalt their courage; to accelerate and animate their industry and activity; to excite in them an habitual contempt of meanness, abhorrence of injustice and inhumanity, and an ambition to excel in every capacity, faculty, and virtue. If we suffer their minds to grovel and creep in infancy, they will grovel all their lives." --John Adams

This is the true definition of liberal thought. Somewhere down the road to today, the true liberals became Republicans. Let's look at the difference between the two major parties in America: Democrat and Republican.

Democrats used to understand that it was unjust to allow a nation to murder en masse a portion of its population. This was during WWII. They also believed that the USA, with all her flaws, was the best nation in the world and worth defending. Then came the 1960's. Free love, free sex, free disease, free drugs, free contempt, etc. Many Democrats were shocked. Many were not. Communism had infiltrated the party either during WWII or at the start of the cold war and had taken root. It is a sad thing.

Republicans, on the other hand, were in the minority party. They wanted to follow George Washington's advice: Do not get tangled in other countries affairs, and don't make permanent allies. They were the isolationists.

At that time (during the 192?-193?,) there was the League of Nations. An ineffective body of "diplomats" that could do nothing more than yack at one another. Then we got tangled with the United Nations after WWII so there would never again be genocide. Look around you. What do you see? There was genocide in America-the black male (and female,) Sudan, China, Libya, Syria, Iran, Yemen, Horn of Africa, Rwanda, France (remember the old folks who died because there was no cool air and everyone was on vacation?), etc. In other words, George Washington was right! And so are we, now, the Republicans.

So, how do I contend that Republicans are true liberals and Democrats in power positions are Communists? Republicans=free speech, free choice, fair markets, capitolism, free flow of ideas, equality, free people from oppression when possible, tolerant, and people do for themselves so they can help each other.

Democrats=blacklist artists & actors in Hollywood if you are a Republican, no choice about joining a union, no choice about government schools which teach you to hate your country and no tolerence for God or differing ideas, desire to get rid of as many children through abortion as possible disguised as population control, government is everything, God is not allowed (even though He is the One who bestowed upon us this great and beautiful land,) group think, and love/hate of self.

Also, Republicans come up with ideas to discuss and debate. You can talk. Find out the flaws and the good in your idea. Democrats call you names like racist, homophobe, etc. without even knowing your background or the common sense/flaws in your idea. There is no room for discussion or working together.

THIS IS NOT TRUE OF EVERYONE ON EITHER SIDE OF THE AISLE! It never is. There are very good Democrats. There are Republicans that I am sorry they ever stepped foot into my party. Yes, they can go that far. Take Mr. Racist who ran for Governor, David Duke. Please, take him! He is an absolute embarassment to the human race.

I have called out mine, are you willing to call out yours? Maybe the difference lies within the result. I can do this without reprecussion. I'm afraid you can't. If I am wrong, my dear friends who are Democrats, please tell me how. I want us all to be Americans again. Can we do that?

The Federalist: Founders' Daily Quote

"Your love of liberty -- your respect for the laws -- your habits of industry -- and your practice of the moral and religious obligations, are the strongest claims to national and individual happiness." --George Washington

President Bush and Sen. Kerry love liberty, respects the laws they select, industry, and I can't do this.

Bush respects all laws the laws, even the ones he doesn't like. He practices his moral and religious obligations.

Kerry may respect liberty. I'm sure he does, in his own way. Respecting the laws? I don't consider treason to be a sign of respect.

He wants to tax the heck out of the servants that make the goods and services that fill Kerry's luxurious whims. He doesn't even know we are at war...how can the Democrats chose him? Why? I don't get it. I know Democrats, and John Kerry...you are no Democrat. You are a communist. It isn't you I don't like. It is your ideology. That is my right. Damn it.

The Federalist: Founders' Daily Quote

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than anarmed man." --Cesare Beccaria.

I say, "Amen to that!" Please go to the NRA. See what the latest news is that will determine whether we, the people, have been endowed with our inalienable rights, or whether those are rights given by the government. If it is the first, then there should be NO gun laws. If it is the second, then ALL rights can and will be taken away, and we do not have a republic. You decide which is more important to you.

"A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue then will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader." --Samuel Adams

Am I the only one who believes this and to believe it has already happened? God save America.

The Federalist: Founders' Daily Quote

"We established however some, although not all its [self-government] important principles. The constitutions of most of our States assert, that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves, in all cases to which they think themselves competent, (as in electing their functionaries executive and legislative, and deciding by a jury of themselves, in all judiciary cases in which any fact is involved,) or they may act by representatives, freely and equally chosen; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed." --Thomas Jefferson.
