Eli E. Hertz has sent this email which I find so revealing. It is amazing as to how much we choose to forget and how much others choose to cherry pick the words the need to fit their own agenda.

Today, fifteen years after signing the Israel-Jordan Peace Treaty and 14 years after his tragic death, Yitzhak Rabin was lauded by President Barack Obama as a man of peace and courage, who "demonstrated that a commitment to communication, cooperation, and genuine reconciliation can help change the course of history."

The following excerpts from Rabin's last public speech to the Knesset just days before he was murdered reveal Rabin's true realistic vision:

The Knesset (Parliament) October 5, 1995

"Here, in the land of Israel, we returned and built a nation. Here, in the land of Israel, we established a state. The land of the prophets, which bequeathed to the world the values of morality, law and justice, was, after two thousand years, restored to its lawful owners - the members of the Jewish people. On its land, we have built an exceptional national home and state.

"We view the permanent solution in the framework of [the] State of Israel which will include most of the area of the Land of Israel as it was under the rule of the British Mandate, and alongside it a Palestinian entity which will be a home to most of the Palestinian residents living in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

"We will not return to the 4 June 1967 lines.

"First and foremost, united Jerusalem ... as the capital of Israel, under Israeli sovereignty.

"The security border of the State of Israel will be located in the Jordan Valley ... The establishment of blocs of settlements in Judea and Samaria, like the one in Gush Katif.

"We had to choose between the whole of the land of Israel ... and a state with less territory, but which would be a Jewish state. We chose to be a Jewish state.

"We ... committed ourselves before the Knesset, not to uproot a single settlement in the framework of the interim agreement, and not to hinder building for natural growth.

"We are aware of the fact that the Palestinian Authority has not - up until now - [E.H., and never thereafter] honored its commitment to change the Palestinian Covenant, and that all of the promises on this matter have not been kept. I would like to bring it to the attention of the members of the house that I view these changes as a supreme test of the Palestinian Authority's willingness and ability, and the changes required will be an important and serious touchstone vis-a'-vis the continued implementation of the agreement as a whole."

Rabin's vision essentially incorporated the principles of Israel as both a Jewish state, and as a state living in "Peace within secure and recognized boundaries" as stated in UN Security Council Resolution 242.

Time-Out

I have been putting off doing a lot of the work I still need to do to get caught up, but I've been doing the most recent posts. Well, maybe a couple. I have gotten my inbox down to less than 300 emails! That is an accomplishment within itself, since it went up to over 400.

Between the Tea Parties, calling and emailing Washington and Sacramento, feeling overwhelmed and then guilty about not posting, I've made a decision to let you know that I will have to post the news I've been waiting to post and link them to one post as I did before. I think I shall do this weekly, rather than monthly, because there are just too many.

I'm really grateful that you've been coming back to see if I've written something new. I don't want to let you down, and I won't. Once I'm all caught up, this is not going to happen again. I just have to get to that magical, far-away fantasy of being all caught up! ;)

Thank you for patience. Right now I'm going to watch NCIS. I know, but I really like this show. It will halp me to relax so I can get back to work. (I work at night.) Have a blessed evening everyone, and I shall see you on the other side of the moon...

Nazis, The UN, Jihadis, And Israel

First it was the Nazis, then it was the UN (and still is), now it is the jihadis that are using what they purport to 'laws' against the Jewish people in order to delegitimize them as people and then to exterminate. I choose to stand with Israel. Which side are you on? The side of good and righteousness, or the side of the terrorists? There are no third sides. You cannot sit this one out. It is happening, and history will not allow you the comfort of ignorance.

The United Nations apply a Nazi legal system on the Jews

It is becoming common practise for nation states and non-nation actors to apply legal means to achieve political results.

Known as 'lawfare' these methods have been increasingly applied against Israel.

They are being used as yet another weapon in their armoury to eliminate the Jewish state.
As such, their roots reach back to wartime Germany. Their ultimate application is eerily similar to that created by the Nazis.

Back in the dark days of European history Nazi Germany operated a legal system that gave legitimacy to the machinations of the Third Reich.

The raison d-etre for the Nazi anti-Semitic programs were to remove a stain to world peace, namely the Jews, and to create a new world order.

When Hitler condemned the Jews for all of the world's woes German jurisprudence rubber stamped the measures demanded by its leaders.

The Jews, they claimed, were guilty of the most heinous crimes against humanity and laws were established to deal with these Jewish criminals.

It became legal to deprive Jews of work, to make them wear the Yellow Star, to herd them into Ghettos, to deprive them of their property, to transport them to the death camps, and to execute them.

This was all performed under a veneer of a legal respectability, that everyone involved in this genocide was obeying his duty in law and, therefore, upholding the legal rulings that applied in the territories controlled by Germany.

Records were kept at each stage of the deligitimisation and extermination of the Jews. These records showed that the law was being enforced. The book-keeping was part of the legal system that proved, in Nazi eyes, that everything was being done in a legally-acceptable and systematically transparent manner. German courts upheld the fragmentation of Jewish society and its elimination as required by Nazi law.

Few dared question whether the Jews were truly guilty as charged. The law, and the resultant punishment, took its course - and the rest is history.

At various stages of the 'legal' genocide of the Jews, whether in the Ghettos or the concentration camps, the Germans employed Jews to enforce their actions.

The horrors of the Holocaust should have buried the notion that Jews are the enemy of the world and are easy prey to fanatics and their supporters.
Sadly, the old hatred was merely dormant. It has re awoken in a different form and has found itself coalescing under the auspices of the United Nations.

The year is 2009 and it is happening, again, before our very eyes.

Please read the rest of that of that post before continuing. It angers me to no end to know that some people still believe we can actually sit a bully down with its victim and come to a viable agreement that won't be broken the instant these people turn their eyes away. Why do we have prisons?

Why not just have a murderer apologize to the other family members and go on his merry way? Oh? Is it because he is more likely than not to commit the same crime against another victim? Or is it because it is the right thing to do? What about justice for the first victim? The silent ones rarely receive justice while the loudmouths get more unjust justice than all the just juctice combined. Where did all these people with no sense of right and wrong come from?

Don't tell me it's the '60's generation, I don't buy that. Why not? Because it's been happening throughout mankind. Please also read his comments on the Goldstone Report. What a joke that turned out to be, and you want to deal with these 'people'? I would expect nothing less from you than to demand the truth. After all, what is justice without truth?

Elliot Spitzer Attack on U.S. Chamber of Commerce is Left-Wing Politics at its Worst

"Elliot Sptizer's commentary in Slate ("Chamber of Horrors") calling for state pension funds to pressure corporations to leave the U.S. Chamber of Commerce reminds us of his past efforts to climb the political ladder on the backs of business executives.

Instead of worrying about the Chamber, state officials should be investigating pension funds for potential conflicts of interest and using their shareholder standing to advance the left-wing agenda.

Spitzer's commentary exposes the left-wing strategy of using public money to advance its cause. Spitzer's political motivation is clear: because the Chamber is fighting cap-and-trade and "Card Check" they need to be taken out.

While Attorney General of New York, Spitzer used the power of the state and his sharp elbows to loot business leaders of their property and reputation.

Spitzer's legal assault against former New York Stock Exchange head Dick Grasso serves as a prime example. In this case, New York was forced in to a drawn-out legal battle because Grasso and Ken Langone -- a NYSE board member -- refused to genuflect at Spitzer's altar.

Spitzer's investigation "included 1,454 hours of depositions" and, ironically, he attacked Grasso's personal life. Spitzer deposed Grasso's secretary and inquired about an affair, and, during his nine-day deposition, Grasso was asked if he had a love child.

Paradoxically, it's the pension funds that need investigation by state officials. For years, state pension funds have been working with labor unions and environmental groups to advance the left-wing agenda, including pressuring corporations to address global warming. Pension funds, facing serious shortfalls, should focus their time and efforts on investment strategies -- not politics.

In fact, a front page story, "Calpers Rocked By 'Pay-to-Play;" in today's Wall Street Journal reports on a possible conflict of interest involving a former board member who "reaped more than $50 million in fees for arranging investments that could saddle state taxpayers with hundreds of millions of dollars in losses."

Spitzer is nothing more than a left-wing political hack leading the charge against liberty and free-markets."

Iranian Christian Women In Prison Due To Their Faith

While I remain skeptical of Iran's 'justice' system, there is some wonderful news I'd like to share with all my Christian and non-Christian friends.

Dear Friends,

There has been a new and more promising development in the case of Maryam Rostampoor (27) and Marzieh Amirizadeh (30). On the morning of October 7th, 2009 they were unexpectedly taken to appear before the court to face three charges:

• 1) Anti-state activities.
• 2) Propagation of the Christian faith.
• 3) Apostasy.

There was a new judge presiding, and unlike the previous judges, he was sympathetic. He acquitted Maryam and Marzieh of the charge of anti-state activities, which rarely happens. This is a great relief for the two women and their lawyer was very pleased.

They allowed their lawyers to be present? Praise God!

As a result, their case will now be transferred from the revolutionary court to the general court that will now consider the other two charges.

They maintain they will not deny their faith.

October 5th marked seven months that Maryam and Marzieh have been imprisoned in Tehran, Iran for their Christian faith. In the face of harsh prison conditions, constant interrogations, court proceedings, and severe pressure to recant their faith they have remained faithful to Christ.

They maintain that they will not deny their faith.

In an interview with the Voice of America Persian News Network, their lawyer said: "My clients are not prepared to lie about their faith under any condition."

Their health.

Both Maryam and Marzieh continue to be frail with ill health. On Sunday the 4th October, Maryam had severe food poisoning and after much insistence finally the prison authorities relented and gave her medical attention.

The impact of their story.

Maryam and Marzieh's story has spread across the Christian world. Their faithfulness to Christ has encouraged countless believers and strengthened their faith. In Iran, many Christians have resolved to be faithful to Christ and have become more courageous in following Jesus.

Maryam and Marzieh are aware that their world Christian family is praying for them. They are very encouraged that they are not voiceless and have not been forgotten. They say: "Thank you for praying for us. We are humbled and strengthened by your prayers and we are determined to remain faithful to Jesus even unto death."

Get Out The Voice Tea Party

October 13, 2009, there will be a Get Out The Voice Tea Party held at 333 W. Ocean Blvd in Long Beach, California, between 4pm and 7 pm. Seven pm is when they have their Council meeting. The Courthouse is right there on Ocean Blvd, so we will be seen this time. We must do this at this time to let the critters in Washington know that they are not hiding anything from us.

Baghdad attacks on steady decline

WASHINGTON (Oct. 8, 2009) – Attacks committed by al-Qaida and other insurgents operating in Baghdad and its environs continue to drop three months after U.S. combat troops moved out of Iraqi cities, a U.S. brigade commander posted there said Thursday.

“Security is still the first order of business for the units in this brigade, as well as our Iraqi partners in uniform. Overall, I think we’ve been making steady progress in this area,” Army Col. Tobin L. Green, commander of the 1st Cavalry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team, told Pentagon reporters during a satellite-carried news conference.

Green’s Fort Hood, Texas,-based brigade falls under Multinational Division Baghdad and supports and trains Iraqi security forces operating in and around Baghdad. The brigade has slightly less than 4,000 troops, Green said, noting his soldiers also participate in combined counterinsurgency operations with Iraqi forces.

On June 30, Iraqi soldiers and police assumed security duties in Iraq’s cities, to include Baghdad, as U.S. combat forces moved to outlying areas, Green said. Since July, he said, enemy attacks on U.S. and Iraqi forces have declined.

Today, overall enemy attacks in the Baghdad region -- including improvised explosive devices and explosively formed projectiles -- “remain pretty low,” Green said.

Concurrently, he said, casualties among U.S. forces in the Baghdad area have experienced “a significant downturn.”

Iraqi security force casualties ticked upward in July, Green said, but they since have declined. Iraqi civilian casualties did rise in August, he said, due to the terrorist bombings of the Iraqi foreign and finance ministries in Baghdad on Aug. 19. One hundred Iraqis were killed and 600 were injured by the blasts.

During his Oct. 6 remarks at the annual Association of the U.S. Army conference here, Army Gen. David H. Petraeus, commander of U.S. Central Command, described the Aug. 19 Baghdad bombings as “a particularly difficult day.”

However, Petraeus added, the overall number of enemy attacks in Iraq have declined about 85 percent since the spring of 2007.

And, Iraqi civilian casualties in Baghdad have “steadily declined” since the Baghdad Aug. 19 bombings, Green pointed out.

Yet, Green remains “mindful of still lethal and capable enemy cells and networks that seek to inflict harm on security forces and innocent Iraqis every day.” Most of the attacks in the Baghdad area, he said, are attributed to “al-Qaida or associated types” of insurgent groups.

Meanwhile, Iraqi soldiers and police “continue to stand up to extremists and insurgent groups like al-Qaida,” Green said, while “Iraqi citizens continue to reject attempts by these groups to incite sectarian violence.”

Al-Qaida and other insurgent groups’ ability to sow destruction in and around Baghdad, Green said, has been “significantly degraded over time.” However, he said, the threat has not been eliminated.

That’s why members of the 1st Brigade Combat Team will continue to assist and support Iraqi security forces “as they target sources of instability and secure their people,” he said.

Green’s brigade trains Iraqi security forces, and provides aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, intelligence, working dogs and other types of support.

“We also conduct combined operations with our [Iraqi] partners upon their request,” he said. Such anti-insurgent operations are conducted outside of Baghdad, and can involve the targeting of enemy safe havens, interdiction of lines of communication and disrupting the flow of ordnance and weaponry, he said.

Relocation of U.S. combat troops out of Baghdad “has enabled operational successes against the enemy in their support zones, while strengthening relationships with Iraqi units in these more rural areas as well,” Green said.

Meanwhile, the pace of reconstruction has picked up, Green said, noting his brigade has helped to complete 101 projects valued at about $25 million. Another 63 projects valued at $8.6 million are ongoing, he said, while another 58 projects are under development.

“I believe we’ve been able to generate and sustain our momentum in helping the Iraqis build civil capacity because of how we have organized ourselves for this challenge,” Green said, noting his brigade works closely with local provincial reconstruction teams.

“And, we’re pretty enthused by the results today,” he said.
