Bloggers' News 3.20.08

Stop the ACLU has the story about the press and it's affirmative action abuses. JammieWearingFool has a great video of a Pastor who sees through Obama, and says so. Serendip helps celebrate the Iranian New Year (yesterday). Wolf Pangloss has written a post that cracked me up. I know it will do the same for you.

Faultline USA has written a compelling article which is also heartbreaking. Please read the whole thing, then call or e-mail the school which is inviting that racist pastor. Then we have Locomotive Breath 1901. He/she is new to me, but I found this on the Real Clear Politics blog where you can vote for your friends. Anyway, this person (MM) has written about the judgement made about that poor steak shop owner who was only trying to preserve his little corner of America as American. Great decision!

Stop the ACLU:
Jennifer Harper of the Washington Times reported on the 18th that “only 6 percent of the national press corps describe themselves as ‘conservative.’” Yet, of the general American population, 36 percent “generally consider themselves conservative.” [Continue reading.]
JammieWearingFool:
Introducing Pastor James David Manning.

JammieWearingFool's video about Pastor James David Manning is linked here. Go give him some love. ;)
This is quite a difference and an indictment on Obama. It takes a little while, but it is worth the time.

Serendip:
Norooz, commemorating the New Year, has been celebrated in Iran, , throughout nearly three millennia of its recorded history. Norooz begins at the vernal equinox, the first day of spring season, a day of rejuvenation and reconciliation, forgivness of self and others, reinvigorations and rebirth. Norooz's arrival is symbolized in nature by the sprouting of greens and grains, flowers and trees. [Continue reading.]
Wolf Pangloss:
Washington, DC, 19 March - In its first session since the Saint Patrick’s Day holiday, the House Democratic Caucus is expected to discuss a law that will condemn to death anyone who decides to leave the left wing of the Democratic Party and take up another viewpoint.

Under the proposed law, anyone who is born to Democrat parents, or who registers as Democrat for two elections in a row, and decides to convert to a more conservative political party will face the death penalty. [Continue reading.]

Brite Divinity School to Honor Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
by Barbara W. Sowell

“If Brite does not rescind this invitation to Jeremiah Wright, I will be compelled by conscience to repudiate my Theology degree from Brite Divinity School.”

On the heels of Obama’s race speech yesterday I learned on national TV that Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth Texas is still planning on presenting an award to Rev. Jeremiah Wright at the Black Church Awards Banquet for his 40-year ministry linking divine justice and social justice. Brite will host the fourth annual State of the Black Church Summit and Awards Banquet on March 29.

What is a ministry that links divine justice and social justice? Basically it’s short for Marxist born and bred Liberation Theology. Cutting out all the nuanced obfuscations of leftist Theological language and political correctness, Liberation Theology sees Jesus as the Divine Revolutionary leader intent on bringing social justice into this world. It’s a theology that calls for God’s Kingdom here on earth; not something to be attained in the hereafter. And if necessary, God’s Kingdom must be brought forth here and now on earth by any means necessary - even including violent revolution. I leave it to your imagination as to what country and which people must be dealt with! [Continue reading.]
Locomotive Breath 1901:
This is America.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - The owner of a famous cheesesteak shop did not discriminate when he posted signs asking customers to speak English, a city panel ruled Wednesday.

In a 2-1 vote, a Commission on Human Relations panel found that two signs at Geno's Steaks telling customers, "This is America: WHEN ORDERING 'PLEASE SPEAK ENGLISH,'" do not violate the city's Fair Practices Ordinance. [Continue reading.]
Great job!
