A Holocaust Survivor's View on Islam

This article was emailed to me, and I find it rather compelling. I have his name and accomplishments and people I know may ask me for them, but I have chosen not to reveal his full name and achievements on this blog. Why not? Because I understand how the fatwa's and the crazies work, and I refuse to be a part of him becoming a target for idiots.

A man, whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II, owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism. 'Very few people were true Nazis,' he said, 'but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.'

We are told again and again by 'experts' and 'talking heads' that Islam is the religion of peace and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.

The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march... It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers.

The hard, quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the 'silent majority,' is cowed and extraneous.

Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. China's huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.

The average Japanese individual prior to World War II was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet.

And who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were 'peace loving'?

History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points:

Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence.

Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak up, because like my friend from Germany, they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun.

Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late. As for us who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts -- the fanatics who threaten our way of life.

Lastly, anyone who doubts that the issue is serious and just deletes this email without sending it on is contributing to the passiveness that allows the problems to expand. So, extend yourself a bit and send this on and on and on! Let us hope that thousands, world-wide, read this and think about it, and send it on - before it's too late.

I can't even imagine it, I must admit. How awfully cruel people can be. This is what we are facing today. I know many Muslims who are peaceful, and they are trying to have their voices heard. The dinosaur media refuses to interview them or allow them to speak up when they have CAIR-the unindicted co-conspirators-are chosen to speak up about anything and everything Muslim.

This is the creeping of Political Islam in America. This is what many of my Muslim friends have warn me. They keep trying warn anyone who will listen, because they love America and want to see our freedoms and Liberty stay out of the hands of these crazy people like OBL. Will anyone listen in time?

The silent majority which has been awakened at this time needs to demand that we hear the other side. Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser is just one such person who has been trying to voice heard. He has a site called American Islamic Foundation for Democracy. Please visit his site. It is okay to be skeptical. Just read what he is saying.

How can they win the argument when we demand they speak up and when they do, we don't listen? Please. At least read what he has written. He IS speaking up. Are you going to decide we should remain ignorant so that the terror monsters can win? Is that your decision? It is NOT mine.

Yes, I read with skepticism, but I also learn. At learn he is trying. There are many more.

The Spirit of Man is one of my favorite blogs. 'Winston' is so much more American than some of the idiots we have in Hollyweird, yet he is an Iranian who lives in Canada. Read his blog, please. Then tell me you don't believe him! I'll tell you that you are wrong. He is a great guy. :)

There are many Iraqis, Egyptians, Lebanese, Syrians, Iranians, and Afghanistanis who have blogs. They have been trying to reach out, but no one is listening. Or are we? I know the Admistration is not! Have a great day.

Myths And Facts 10/28/09

Eli E. Hertz has sent this email which I find so revealing. It is amazing as to how much we choose to forget and how much others choose to cherry pick the words the need to fit their own agenda.

Today, fifteen years after signing the Israel-Jordan Peace Treaty and 14 years after his tragic death, Yitzhak Rabin was lauded by President Barack Obama as a man of peace and courage, who "demonstrated that a commitment to communication, cooperation, and genuine reconciliation can help change the course of history."

The following excerpts from Rabin's last public speech to the Knesset just days before he was murdered reveal Rabin's true realistic vision:

The Knesset (Parliament) October 5, 1995

"Here, in the land of Israel, we returned and built a nation. Here, in the land of Israel, we established a state. The land of the prophets, which bequeathed to the world the values of morality, law and justice, was, after two thousand years, restored to its lawful owners - the members of the Jewish people. On its land, we have built an exceptional national home and state.

"We view the permanent solution in the framework of [the] State of Israel which will include most of the area of the Land of Israel as it was under the rule of the British Mandate, and alongside it a Palestinian entity which will be a home to most of the Palestinian residents living in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

"We will not return to the 4 June 1967 lines.

"First and foremost, united Jerusalem ... as the capital of Israel, under Israeli sovereignty.

"The security border of the State of Israel will be located in the Jordan Valley ... The establishment of blocs of settlements in Judea and Samaria, like the one in Gush Katif.

"We had to choose between the whole of the land of Israel ... and a state with less territory, but which would be a Jewish state. We chose to be a Jewish state.

"We ... committed ourselves before the Knesset, not to uproot a single settlement in the framework of the interim agreement, and not to hinder building for natural growth.

"We are aware of the fact that the Palestinian Authority has not - up until now - [E.H., and never thereafter] honored its commitment to change the Palestinian Covenant, and that all of the promises on this matter have not been kept. I would like to bring it to the attention of the members of the house that I view these changes as a supreme test of the Palestinian Authority's willingness and ability, and the changes required will be an important and serious touchstone vis-a'-vis the continued implementation of the agreement as a whole."

Rabin's vision essentially incorporated the principles of Israel as both a Jewish state, and as a state living in "Peace within secure and recognized boundaries" as stated in UN Security Council Resolution 242.

What does it matter which method you use, the child is still dead. Your's was out of negligence, Israel's is out of self-defense.

Hey, before you Arabs who claim to be Palestinians (this is what the JEWISH people were known as throughout history) start in on me, consider this. YOUR OWN PEOPLE THROW THESE CHILDRED IN FRONT OF BOMBS. They hide like little cowards in civillian crowds. Chickens.

Talk to them first. Stop them first. Then come and we can discuss who is at fault here. You don't fool me, so go away. I have better things to do with my time than to argue with you, like cleaning out the kitty littler box!

Nazis, The UN, Jihadis, And Israel

First it was the Nazis, then it was the UN (and still is), now it is the jihadis that are using what they purport to 'laws' against the Jewish people in order to delegitimize them as people and then to exterminate. I choose to stand with Israel. Which side are you on? The side of good and righteousness, or the side of the terrorists? There are no third sides. You cannot sit this one out. It is happening, and history will not allow you the comfort of ignorance.

The United Nations apply a Nazi legal system on the Jews

It is becoming common practise for nation states and non-nation actors to apply legal means to achieve political results.

Known as 'lawfare' these methods have been increasingly applied against Israel.

They are being used as yet another weapon in their armoury to eliminate the Jewish state.
As such, their roots reach back to wartime Germany. Their ultimate application is eerily similar to that created by the Nazis.

Back in the dark days of European history Nazi Germany operated a legal system that gave legitimacy to the machinations of the Third Reich.

The raison d-etre for the Nazi anti-Semitic programs were to remove a stain to world peace, namely the Jews, and to create a new world order.

When Hitler condemned the Jews for all of the world's woes German jurisprudence rubber stamped the measures demanded by its leaders.

The Jews, they claimed, were guilty of the most heinous crimes against humanity and laws were established to deal with these Jewish criminals.

It became legal to deprive Jews of work, to make them wear the Yellow Star, to herd them into Ghettos, to deprive them of their property, to transport them to the death camps, and to execute them.

This was all performed under a veneer of a legal respectability, that everyone involved in this genocide was obeying his duty in law and, therefore, upholding the legal rulings that applied in the territories controlled by Germany.

Records were kept at each stage of the deligitimisation and extermination of the Jews. These records showed that the law was being enforced. The book-keeping was part of the legal system that proved, in Nazi eyes, that everything was being done in a legally-acceptable and systematically transparent manner. German courts upheld the fragmentation of Jewish society and its elimination as required by Nazi law.

Few dared question whether the Jews were truly guilty as charged. The law, and the resultant punishment, took its course - and the rest is history.

At various stages of the 'legal' genocide of the Jews, whether in the Ghettos or the concentration camps, the Germans employed Jews to enforce their actions.

The horrors of the Holocaust should have buried the notion that Jews are the enemy of the world and are easy prey to fanatics and their supporters.
Sadly, the old hatred was merely dormant. It has re awoken in a different form and has found itself coalescing under the auspices of the United Nations.

The year is 2009 and it is happening, again, before our very eyes.

Please read the rest of that of that post before continuing. It angers me to no end to know that some people still believe we can actually sit a bully down with its victim and come to a viable agreement that won't be broken the instant these people turn their eyes away. Why do we have prisons?

Why not just have a murderer apologize to the other family members and go on his merry way? Oh? Is it because he is more likely than not to commit the same crime against another victim? Or is it because it is the right thing to do? What about justice for the first victim? The silent ones rarely receive justice while the loudmouths get more unjust justice than all the just juctice combined. Where did all these people with no sense of right and wrong come from?

Don't tell me it's the '60's generation, I don't buy that. Why not? Because it's been happening throughout mankind. Please also read his comments on the Goldstone Report. What a joke that turned out to be, and you want to deal with these 'people'? I would expect nothing less from you than to demand the truth. After all, what is justice without truth?

I borrowed one of these videos to show you what a real leader does and says, but you really should follow the link below to see the other 3 videos. It is moving, angering, and down right true.

Have we forgotten the Holocaust? Have we forgotten 9/11/01? What is happening to our society when we allow, no, condone, the torture and murder of an ally to placate the murderous ambitions of terrorists? Where is our humanity? Have we no shame?

I have not forgotten. I stand with all the Jewish people who desire peace but are ready to defend their tiny country, and I stand with all Iranians who desire freedon and liberty. I just wish there was more I could do. God, please forgive us.

Dissidents Turn To Israel For Help

It appears as if President Obama does not really care about womens' rights, freedom, Liberty, the 1st or 2nd (or any) Amendments, so Iranian dissidents have turned their eyes toward an unexpected neighbor. Israel. Here is an excerpt:

What is happening is atrocious, and the world remains silent. Is this how Hitler rose to power? I thought we swore, "Never again!"? Shall we sit here, comfortably, getting ready to celebrate the 4th of July? What does the 4th of July really mean to you if you can sit by and say nothing?

These are our brothers and sisters. Especially if you are a Christian. What can we do, you ask yourself or me? We can burn the phone lines down calling President Obama (1-202-456-1111) and let him know what you think of his silence! You can call your representatives (1-202-224-3121 or 225-3121, they both work) and encourage them to speak out for the dissidents in Iran. We can also encourage them to put the money back into the fund set up by the Republicans and some Democrats for the Iranian dissidents. We can help them with news through TV stations that the mullahs won't have the time to block, at least not all of them! We can also use the radio. Whatever ideas you have, share them.

Where are all the Muslims who rallied when you thought it possible that any type of book could be flushed down a toilet let alone a Koran? WHERE IS YOUR VOICE? Do you not see the horror? Or do you approve of it? How about it CAIR? Yes, I guess we know where you stand.

Let me tell you something, though. There were people protesting all across this nation. I did notice you. There were probably more of you than any TV station is about to admit, which leads me to question whether or not we truly do have a free press or just a lazy one? From New York City to California. From sea to shining sea. Yes, injustice was proclaimed by the PEOPLE, not by these so-called groups that claim to represent you. Please remember this the next time they start squaking. It's probably for their masters. Do you really want to please those dictators? I didn't think so.

Everyone stay safe, keep praying, keep protesting, and come to my Tea Party on the 4th of July at Bixby Park, 130 Cherry Ave, Long Beach, California. We shall be having a moment of silence, and I will be wearing a green t-shirts. I will have green ribbons for you as well. You don't have to wear one. It's up to you. Historical Reality: Israel vs Gaza

There is a very interesting article in the Wall Street Journal Opinion section written by Dore Gold today titled, "The Gaza-Egypt Smuggling Tunnels Must Be Closed. If you would care to learn the truth about what is really taking place today between Israel and the Gaza Strip, read Mr. Gold's article. He is currently the president of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, and he served as Israel's ambassador to the United Nations in 1997-1999.

The 86th Anniversary of the 'Mandate for Palestine'

This anniversary was on July 24, 2008, but I have been too busy until now to post this. (I'm still busy, but this is very important.) This is a part of history which must not be forgotten. Not now. Not ever.

86 years ago - on July 24, 1922, the League of Nations (equivalent to today's UN) published the historical document "Mandate for Palestine" that laid down the Jewish legal right to settle anywhere in western Palestine - the area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, an entitlement unaltered in international law.

The "Mandate for Palestine" was not a naive vision briefly embraced by the international community. Fifty-one member countries - the entire League of Nations - unanimously declared on July 24, 1922:

"Whereas recognition has been given to the historical connection of the Jewish people with Palestine and to the grounds for reconstituting their national home in that country."

It is important to note that political rights to self-determination as a polity for Arabs were guaranteed by the same League of Nations in four other mandates - in Lebanon and Syria [The French Mandate], Iraq, and later Trans-Jordan [The British Mandate].

Any attempt to negate the Jewish people's right to Palestine - Eretz-Israel, and to deny them access and control in the area designated as the Jewish National Home by the League of Nations is a serious infringement of international law.

Those claiming that Jewish settlements in the area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea are illegally occupied, should answer just one simple question: In 1922 Jewish settlements were perfectly legal - What has changed?

Michael Ledeen is a renowned scholar on this topic. He has written a well reasoned and thoughtful article for the Wall Street Journal about the situation we find ourselves in today by looking to the past.

What happened? Why did it happened? Could we have stopped it? Why are we not seeing it again? You may read his article here.

UN calls for the genocide of Israel

Did the UN really call for the genocide of all Jews, especially those living in Israel? Not actually, but they may as well have. I have signed the petition, which will be available also for you to sign, stating that I support Israel in this issue. No people should have the right to outright murder another for the sole purpose that they are Jewish. This is against everything that is Holy, Humanitarian, and murder is just plain wrong.

A recent UN report to the Human Rights Council (A/HRC/7/17) by UN Special Rapporteur John Dugard disregards international legal standards against terrorism and excuses the killing of innocents. We, the undersigned, urge the United Nations to reject categorically this attack on the standards of human decency at the heart of the UN’s origins.

Terrorism is the targeted killing of innocents to intimidate a population or compel a government to act in a particular way. This definition reflects an international legal consensus, but UN Rapporteur Dugard disagrees.

"UN Rapporteur Dugard claims “a distinction must be drawn between acts of mindless terror…and acts committed in the course of a war of national liberation.” He then categorizes the acts perpetrated upon Israeli civilians by Palestinians acting “against occupation” as the second kind of terror."

No terror is “mindless” in the sense of being politically unmotivated by a sense of grievance, however misconceived the grievance may be.

"UN Rapporteur Dugard seeks historical support for his position: “History is replete with examples of military occupation that have been resisted by violence - acts of terror”, analogizing the Israeli occupation resisted by Palestinian terror to “the German occupation resisted by European countries in the Second World War.”"

Not every act of violence is an act of terror. Comparing the murderers of Israeli civilians to the liberators of Nazi Germany (and thus the Nazis' victims to the Nazis themselves), is a slander against the Jewish state. In fact, the European Union includes in its working definition of anti-semitism “drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.”

"UN Rapporteur Dugard argues that Palestinian terror “must be understood as being a[n] inevitable consequence of occupation” and that “Until this is done [occupation is ended] violence will continue.”"

Inevitability absolves Palestinian terrorists from moral responsibility for their murderous acts.

So I suppose this means that if the UN building gets blown up by al Qaida, it's okay? Is that what he's really saying? What if it is blown up by some people who are just sick and tired of the UN 'occupying' USA soil and destroying our environment? Would that be okay with him? See, his reasoning falls short when applied to himself and his life. HYPOCRITE!

By implication, these demands are reasonable. But Palestinian terror groups have declared that they will not end their terror campaign until Israel as a Jewish state ceases to exist. And yet according to Dugard there is no point in time at which Palestinian terror becomes “mindless.”

If I were not so angry about this, I would be in tears with the knowledge that the very organization that deemed Israel a country for the Jewish people is now calling for it's destruction by omitting Israel's Human Rights. Why do they have none? THAT IS NOT THE G-D I KNOW!

On June 30, 1922, a joint resolution of both Houses of Congress of the United States unanimously endorsed the "Mandate for Palestine," confirming the irrevocable right of Jews to settle in the area of Palestine—anywhere between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea:

"Favoring the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.

"Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled. That the United States of America favors the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which should prejudice the civil and religious rights of Christian and all other non-Jewish communities in Palestine, and that the holy places and religious buildings and sites in Palestine shall be adequately protected." On September 21, 1922, the then President Warren G. Harding signed the joint resolution of approval to establish a Jewish National Home in Palestine.

Here is how members of congress expressed their support for the creation of a National Home for the Jewish people in Palestine - Eretz-Israel (Selective text read from the floor of the U.S. Congress by the Congressman from New York on June 30, 1922). I want to make at this time, Mr. Speaker and gentlemen of the House, my attitude and views upon the Arab question in Palestine very clear and emphatic. I am in favor of carrying out one of the three following policies, to be preferred in the order in which they are named:

(1) That the Arabs shall be permitted to remain in Palestine under Jewish government and domination, and with their civil and religious rights guaranteed to them through the British mandate and under terms of the Balfour declaration.

(2) That if they will not consent to Jewish government and domination, they shall be required to sell their lands at a just valuation and retire into the Arab territory which has been assigned to them by the League of Nations in the general reconstruction of the countries of the east.

(3) That if they will not consent to Jewish government and domination, under conditions of right and justice, or to sell their lands at a just valuation and to retire into their own countries, they shall be driven from Palestine by force.

"Mr. Speaker, I wish to discuss briefly each of these alternatives in order. And first let me read the now celebrated Balfour declaration of date of November 2, 1917, during the progress of the Great War, and afterwards incorporated in the preamble of the British mandate authorized by the League of Nations. The Balfour declaration was in the following language:

His Majesty's Government view with favor the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people and will use their best endeavors to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine or the rights and political status enjoyed by the Jews in any other country.

"If this is not a condensed and at the same time a complete bill of rights both for the Arabs of Palestine and for the Jews who intend to remain in their present homelands outside of Palestine, I have never read or seen one. It is conceded by the Arabs themselves that the present government of the country under the British mandate and through the Zionist organization as an administrative agency is infinitely better than the government of the Turks who were chased out of the country by Allenby, the British general. It is probably better than any that the Arabs could create and maintain for themselves.

"I respectfully submit that the Arabs in Palestine should be and would be happy and content under the present government of that country if it were not for Turkish and Arab agitators, who travel around over the land stirring up trouble by making false representations concerning the true character of the Zionist movement, and by preaching a kind of holy war against the immigrant Jews who arrive from day to day. The Arabs are well represented in the personnel of the present Palestine administration, which has recognized their language as one of the official languages of the country, and has given official standing to the Moslem religion.

"In the second place, if the Arabs do not wish to remain in Palestine under Jewish government and domination there is plenty of room outside in purely Arab surroundings. The British Government and her allies made overtures and gave pledges to the Arab people to furnish them lands and protect their freedom in consideration of Arab alliance with the Allies during the World War. That pledge has been kept. The Hedjaz kingdom was established in ancient Arabia, and Hussein, Grand Sheriff of Mecca, was made king and freed from all Turkish influence. The son of King Hussein, Prince Feisal, is now the head of the kingdom of Mesopotamia [Iraq], and Arab predominance in that country has been assured by the Allies to the Arab people.

"Mesopotamia is alone capable of absorbing 30,000,000 people, according to a report submitted to the British Government by the Great English engineer, Sir William Wilcocks. Arab rights are also fully recognized and protected by the French mandate over Syria. There are also several flourishing Arabic cultural and political colonies in Egypt. In short, the Arab-speaking populations of Asia and Africa number about 38,000,000 souls and occupy approximately 2,375,000 square miles, many times larger than the territory of Great Britain. In other words under the reconstruction of the map of the east, the Arabs have been given practical control of Greater Arabia, Mesopotamia, Syria, and parts of Egypt, which gives them an average of 38 acres per person. If the Arabs are compelled to leave Palestine and turn it over entirely to the Jews, it is admitted that the Arab race would still be one of the wealthiest landowning races on the earth. Therefore, I contend that if they will not consent to live peaceably with the Jews, they should be made to sell their lands and retire to places reserved for them somewhere in Arabia [Saudi], Syria, Mesopotamia, or Egypt, that suit them best, and where they can worship Allah, Mahomet [Muhammad], and the Koran to their heart's content. After all is said, the fact remains that the Arabs have more lands than they need, and the Jews have none. I am in favor of a readjustment under the Balfour declaration, without too great regard to nice distinctions in the matter of the question of self-determination. This thought brings me to my third proposal heretofore mentioned, that the Arabs should be driven out of Palestine by the British and Jews, or by somebody else, if they will not listen to the voice of reason and of justice.

"I shall probably be told that, regardless of the question of land and property rights, the Arabs have an interest in the holy places around Jerusalem. Admitting that their claims in this regard are just, there should be no trouble along this line. There is no reason to believe that Jews and Christians would deny them access to the holy places in the pilgrimages that they might desire to make from their Arab countries. But if the rights of the Jews to their ancient homeland are to be made dependent, as a final question, upon Moslem interests in the holy places around Jerusalem, I am willing and prepared to repudiate these rights entirely and to shut the Arabs out altogether."

I find this very interesting. How many of you knew about this? Why am I so uninformed? Is this due to PC that we cannot even learn about true history? Remember, who wins the war gets to write the history. That is because we write our history, and Germany and Japan write theirs. I'm sure they were not celebrating getting their butts handed to them. Today has been very in the destruction business by the oh-so-peaceful 'people'. We have been hit in NYC again, but the person has not been caught. There is a witness, however. Israel was hit by an Arab-Israeli with an automatic machine gun, and 55 Iraqis were blown-up today by terrorists. Some people will consider these facts 'poisonous' to the debate as to whether or not to do this or that. I disagree. These are facts. They are very stubborn things, you know.

I will also share with you an article on true racism later in this post. Let us start with the article provided by Gathering of Eagles:

Domestic Terrorism Alert: Small Bomb Explodes at Times Square Recruiting Center.
March 6, 2008

UPDATE: This is the recruiting office most often defended by NY GOE members against leftist attacks. Make no mistake, there is an enemy here at home, and regardless of their claims of “peace,” they have no problem engaging in acts of violence and domestic terrorism.

NEW YORK - A small bomb caused minor damage to an empty military recruiting station in Times Square early today, shaking guests in hotel rooms high above “the crossroads of the world.”

Police blocked off the area to investigate the explosion, which occurred at about 3:45 a.m. No one was injured. The blast left a gaping hole in the front window and shattered a glass door, twisting and blackening its metal frame.

Authorities said at a news conference that a witness saw a person on a bicycle wearing a backpack and acting suspiciously, but that no one saw a person place the device in front of the recruiting center.

Palestinian Terrorist Kills at Least Eight at Jerusalem School.

A Palestinian terrorist infiltrated a religious school in Jerusalem at about 9 p.m. Thursday (March 6) and opened fire throughout the complex, shooting dead at least eight mostly high school-age students. [1] Reports put the number of wounded at about 10, among them a 16-year-old boy in serious condition from chest wounds. [2]

The terrorist, an East Jerusalem resident, is believed to have perpetrated the attack, [3] and police and Israel Defense Forces (IDF) troops searched the premises for two hours to determine whether there was a second or third terrorist. [4] The perpetrator attacked the students as they celebrated a holiday in the "Mercaz Harav" school dining room and studied religious texts in the school library. [5] Details were still unclear in the immediate aftermath of the event, but reports suggest that the terrorist was killed by an IDF paratrooper who engaged him in a gun battle. [6]

In Gaza, where Iran-backed terrorists have fired more than 4,000 rockets at civilians in Israel during the past two years, Palestinians celebrated the attacks by firing guns in the air, handing out candy and giving prayers of thanks at local mosques. [7]

On the same day as the attack, an Israeli soldier was killed and another seriously wounded in an ambush by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists on the Gaza border. Afterward, the Israeli envoy to the UN stated that they were going to continue the peace talks. Excuse me, but doesn't there need to be someone on the other side of the table with whom you are discussing peace who actually WANTS PEACE? Please pray for Israel and the situation on the ground over there. I do not have a good feeling about this. Oh, btw, the Arabs were dancing in the streets celebrating the deaths of the Israelis. That is how I determine who is in favor of this atrocity and who is not. Just in case anyone is wondering, THIS IS ISRAELI LAND. Nowhere in history, other than Israel, does the loser get their land back. Besides, it wasn't the Arabs land to begin with, but that's a whole 'nother story.

Big Dog's Weblog has news of that ugly cresant they are trying to put in the field of Sommerset, Pennsylvania, where Flight 93 was taken down by our brave citizens. If you have not been following this situation, the people in charge of this project have decided to become multi-cultural on us, and they want to place an Islamic cresant as the memorial. This is unacceptable! We (many bloggers, family members, and readers) took the 'streets' (blogs) and protested loudly. We also got a hold of their numbers, and they did not like that very much. GOOD. Frances Rice, chairman of the National Black Republican Association, describes the Democratic Party as the architect of modern day racism.

Rice, a retired Army lieutenant colonel and lawyer, says in an interview it was Republicans who pushed through much of the ground-breaking civil rights legislation in Congress. Now, she says, Republicans stand for empowering blacks to help them out of poverty. In contrast, Rice says, the Democrats push to keep blacks dependent on government handouts and encourage them to see themselves as victims.

“The Democratic Party has built its power base on the backs of poor blacks, and they want to keep blacks poor, angry, and voting for Democrats,” Rice tells Newsmax. “Every election cycle they go into the black community and preach hatred against the Republican Party and get blacks to cast a protest vote against Republicans.”

Frances Rice is a very brave woman. She is doing today what a few good men did a long time ago, she is standing up against the powers-that-be to offer a different life to people where they do not have to be dependent on the government. Once you become dependent of the government, then they control your lives. That is NOT freedom.

As we all know, Iran is seeking to attain nuclear power. Some may argue that this power may be domestic only, while others suspect that it was desired for nefarious purposes. One of those purposes being nuclear weapons. Therefore the Israel Project asked each candidate for their position on this issue (Iran).

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran said on Tuesday it had built a new missile with a range of 2,000 km (1,250 miles), a step analysts said could add more power to Tehran's conventional arsenal when tensions over its atomic plans are rising.

Peace in the Middle East!

No, it is not my title. It is the title of an Israeli man, Abe, who is friends with a friend of mine, Bos'un. Bos'un sent me this e-mail because Abe does not yet have a blog of his own. I am proud to post his words and thoughts here.

That elusive thing called peace. Israelis write love-songs and dedicate poetry to peace. Children are introduced to the concept in kindergarten and grow up believing in ultimate peace in the Middle East. Songs that have come out during Israel's many wars have a verse or part of a verse dedicated to peace.

What is this peace and how is it viewed? Israelis have a very naive and childlike picture of peace. As one battle hardened veteran tank officer once confided in me, "Peace means that we would go to their houses and they would come to ours." A "cold peace" such as exists between Israel and Egypt was not imagined by most Israelis. Egypt turns a cold shoulder towards Israel but maintains a condition of "no war," which is apparently as close as it permits itself to come to "peace."

Jordan, the other Arab country to have a peace agreement with Israel also distances itself from Israel socially. While the country has agreements with Israel that include agricultural, industrial and transportation, the people themselves are not exactly brimming with joy at the fact. This can be explained partially by the fact that over 70% of Jordan’s population is Palestinian.

There is another reason why the two Arab countries that have a peace agreement with Israel seem standoffish towards it: Neither one of those two countries is a democracy. Israel is a democracy, and a very loud one. As Israel's first Prime-Minister, David Ben-Gurion, said, "It's difficult to be a Prime-Minister in a country full of Prime-Ministers." Israelis are very vocal in their criticisms of politicians, authors, actors and many other "performers". A friendly discussion between Israelis looks, to outsiders, as if a full-fledged battle is about to erupt.

Not so in Egypt or Jordan. Criticism of the government is downright dangerous in Egypt. In Jordan it isn't wise unless you are participating in a demonstration that is pro-Palestinian and, of course, anti-Israeli. The governments of both countries are wary of having their people get too close to Israelis and pick up their cavalier attitude towards government. French soldiers, while serving in America's War of Independence, learned about democracy and about speaking out. They were one of the many seeds that eventually produced the French Revolution.

The Arab governments of Egypt and Jordan wish to maintain control over their respective populations and, naturally, wish to keep them away from those "independent-minded troublemakers," the Israelis.

What do the people think? The regular Egyptian is a very friendly individual. He hates nobody and just wants to support his family (a very, very tough job in Egypt). On my first trip to Cairo after "peace" was established, I walked up to a street-vendor of peanuts and asked him how much the peanuts cost. Noticing that my Arabic was Palestinian dialect, he asked me where I was from. When I told him that I was from Israel, he thanked Allah and the prophets for permitting him to see the day that an Israeli could legally walk the streets of Cairo. He then told me that, for me, a serving of peanuts was free of charge. He was obviously a poor man and the price was, no doubt, considerate of Egyptian third-world incomes. My income, in Israel, was astronomic compared to his, and I argued with him, telling him that I wished to pay. He wouldn't hear of it, and called to a friend, half a block away, a vendor of cold drinks, to give me a discount on such a hot day. I ended up sitting on the curb eating peanuts and drinking ice-cold "Tamar-Hindi" (a delicious drink derived from the "heart" of the date palm), while carrying on a hearty conversation with half a dozen Egyptians. The whole picture seemed surreal (and still does).

And how about the Palestinians?

I'm glad you asked me that question. This calls for a story: Once upon a time in 1968, I was in a car driven by a reserve infantry officer. I was at the time a tank driver and the third occupant of the car was a fellow tanker, a gunner, from my company. We were on our way to our camp at the Mitle Pass. We were passing through Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, when the driver realized we were low on gas. We drove through the town looking for a gas station. We finally asked a local who told us there was one near the market. We drove to the open-air market and, indeed, there was a gas station. Manning the pump, we looked around. We were surrounded by Arabs, all jabbering and trying to get close to us. We had an interesting conversation while filling gas. We were at their mercy, having two Uzis and a pistol between us. The crowd could have disarmed us and torn us to pieces in seconds. Instead, we enjoyed friendly banter and a loud, "Go in Peace," when we were done.

Later, I became very friendly with the workers at my sister's farm. My sister and brother-in-law operate a farm just three km from the Gaza Strip border near Rafah. The workers would come every day and were like family. They demonstrated a willingness to support their families and live in peace. The last thing they wanted was to blow themselves up and take my brother-in-law with them.

All this, of course, means nothing when the terror organizations come into play. The "silent majority" of the population will not lift a finger against Hamas in Gaza. They are terrified of them and just bow their heads waiting for the storm to pass. In the meantime, Hamas fires rockets at Israel (including my sister's village) and Israel holds back because of the innocent people in Gaza. Israel retaliates when Israelis get killed. There is a bit of quiet, and the story begins again within days.

Peace in the Middle East? It can only come about when a common enemy unites the moderates. I remember in 1969 (I think) General Shlomo Goren landed with a helicopter in the middle of our tank park. The battalion was parked in two rows with a large empty area of desert in the middle. The Bell Huey landed in the center sending a whirlwind of sand down our throats. The Chief Chaplain of the IDF General Rabbi Shlomo Goren stepped out and began to speak. He was a great speaker and we were mesmerized. One thing remains stuck in my head from that speech: "The lord doesn't rely on the Jews. He knows we can't be relied upon. Rather, he relies on our enemies. He knows that they will not lay down their arms until we have attained everything he intends us to."

Maybe, just maybe, the extremists are doing just that; forcing the moderates to co-operate. The less extreme Arab countries are beginning to realize what the monster is capable of, and they see that Israel is a solid force to rally behind. Many problems can be solved under the threatening shadow of Muslim extremism.

But then again, maybe I'm just a nai¯ve Israeli.

Pres. Sarkozy: Diplomacy you CAN use! (OTB)

Most people are familiar with President Sarkozy's speech that he gave this week to a group of diplomats. Because it was to a group of diplomats, it took me a while to get around to forcing myself to read it. WOW!

...On Afghanistan, he told the assembled diplomats, "the duty of the Atlantic Alliance as well as that of France," is to "increase efforts." He then announced he would be sending additional trainers to assist the Afghan Army. On Israel, he said he "would never budge" on its security. He warned about Russia, which "imposes its return on the world scene by playing its assets with a certain brutality," and he cautioned against China, which pursues "its insatiable search for raw materials as a strategy of control, particularly in Africa."

In his speech this week to the diplomats, Mr. Sarkozy warned of the need for tough diplomacy, including "growing sanctions," to avoid the "catastrophic alternative: the Iranian bomb or the bombing of Iran." That doesn't sound far from Senator John McCain's useful formulation that "There's only one thing worse than the United States exercising the military option; that is a nuclear-armed Iran." The important point is that Mr. Sarkozy has put on record that he won't let Iran develop a bomb under cover of feckless Western diplomacy. [Continue reading.]

I knew I was happy to see Chirac leave (hope your jail cell is as rotten as you are), but I did not expect such a good replacement. Finally, France has learned to stand on their own two feet. Good job, France, and thank you. It gets kind of tiring being the only country in the world who gives a damn...

What will the Democrats do now? They say they want to 'fix' our relationships with our allies. Our allies are moving to the right. Oops! Then they go and visit our enemies. Is this what they mean? They desire to speak with the same people whose only thoughts are about destroying us? Hmm. Indeed, they are in more than a pickle!

Breaking news: Sorry to 'distract' you with this, but Larry Craig just gave a press release stating that he has the 'intent' of leaving the US Senate on September 30, 2007 so that he can pursue his legal options without 'distracting' the necessary work the Senate must do at this very serious time of war. Phooey! I had to write it, but that doesn't mean I had to enjoy it.

'A Chance' says PM Olmert

I just got through with a conference with Miri Eisin, Foreign Press Spokeswoman for Israeli PM Ehud Olmert' office, and I have more question than answers, I'm sorry to say. I could not hear the questions being asked of her after her initial press conference, so it may just be a misunderstanding.

There was a meeting yesterday with President Mubarak, PM Abbas, King (or President) Abdullah from Jordan and PM Olmert in the efforts of taking an opportunity out of this madness (the civil war in the Gaza Strip) and turning it into a chance to move forward with the 2 state solution. She kept repeating that PM Olmert, she and the others were not going to allow the terrorists to define them, but that the moderates were going to take control and define themselves and their destiny.

They were going to move forward-cautiously of course-with diplomacy. It is going to be a process with a vision of peace at the end of the rainbow. What happened in Gaza was horrific, but this opens the door to opportunity and they are going to walk through it.

There are three main articles that came up. They are:

1. Abbas fired Hamas' elected officials from the government, and now Abbas is working with an emergency government.

2. There will be 250 Arab prisoners, some will be Fatah, released from Israels prisons. The criteria for their release will be that they must not have blood on their hands and they must admit that Israel is NOT the cause of the suffering for the Arabs in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. They had brought it on by themselves by their own actions, their own choices, their own doing (or lack thereof).

3. Abbas has said to the Arabic world, in Arabic (very important because they sometimes say one thing in English and another in Arabic) that he renounced the violence of Hamas, he believed in a 2 state solution living side by side with Israel in peace, and he recognizes Israel. (I'm not sure of the last one. I can hardly read my notes!)

She also talked about the atmosphere produced so the talks could move forward. She stated that it would be a good idea to widen the scope of the dialogue. They are going to meet again next month, since the new emergency government is only around 10 days old.

Then the questions started. I could not hear the questions, but I could hear the answers. Maybe that is where the confusion comes. The first answer was indeed unique. For the first time, there were no, "Yes, BUT's" in their conversation.

Then she said they would give access to the West Bank! This way they could have freedom of movement. (Do you know who else could have freedom of movement, dear?) They also recognize the emergency government as the ruling government. (How long have we been called occupiers, although the government is in Iraq is elected?) However, access and free movement are very important to human beings. (I just pray it is not a mistake.)

There shall never be a compromise with terrorists such as Hamas and others. As to the money that has been held back due to the Hamas government, that shall be released just as soon as they can both agree on a way that is best for the people's humanitarian needs. There are dozens of truckloads per day being delivered everyday, but the Left press will not write about this. (It bothers me that facts are not disclosed, no matter what the situation.) Also, they both want to make sure the money goes to the moderates and not to the terrorists.

Later in the questioning period, they declared there would not be any benchmarks, ultimatums, or the such. This is what people looking in from the outside do not understand. You cannot do such a thing, especially with a government that is only 10 days old!

At the meeting yesterday, Mubarrak said that what Hamas did was create 'a coup'. Abbas agreed, basically, because he said the same thing at a later date. Abbas also declared it was totally unacceptable. However, it is too soon to expect any elections in the West Bank.

There were questions about trust (many questions). The answer was rather usual. Trust must be built, even if it is with your enemies of old. What alternative is there? (Fight back?)

Iran was mentioned, Syria was mentioned, Russia was mentioned, and I have no answers for you. My fault. I was writing as fast as I could! I did happen to catch one comment. Israel has an economy that surpasses that of the EU! I wish I knew those numbers. Now that's something new I could really sink my teeth into.

Let us pray for Israel and her neighbors countrymen and women. (Notice I did not say governments?) Pray for peace, understanding, forgiveness and readiness.Let us also pray that Israel realizes that the more the give, the more the Arabs will consider this weakness. I know most of the Israelis have hearts of peace, and they want the war to stop. Sometimes you have to have take other paths, sometimes you don't. Let us pray this is one of those times you don't, but if it is? Let us pray they have the chutzpah! (Yes, I am an Israel supporter. You can't even sue me! Hahaha.)
