Star Parker For Congress!

As some of you may know I was running for Congress in CA-37 until I learned Star Parker had decided to run. I love this lady, and no politics is going to make me speak a bad word toward or about her. I dropped my candidacy to support Star, and I hope you will support her as well.

This past May 26, we had a bbq. Star turned out to be the keynote speaker whether or not it was scheduled that way. Star is so wonderful that she brightens up every room she enters.

Now let's get down to business. There is news article written about the event of the 26th. I cannot believe it. The Press-Telegram FINALLY wrote an objective article! The link is right here: Rising star energizes Long Beach Republicans.

Sacred Matrimony is Between One Man and One Woman

It seems as though it doesn't take much to anger this gentle soul anymore. With the homosexual society always in our faces trying to push their agenda on us and claiming it is the opposite, I've had it. There is no reason to speak with them because they are unreasable (I know not most of them!).

I do not bother anyone for what or who they are. I never have. When you cross the line and tell me that I have to accept your behavior or else, that's where we cannot go. This is America. Matrimony has been the rule for millennia, and you are not going to change it now.

In the first place, this is the first step in the destruction of a whole society. Don't believe me? Look at Rome! Many empires, countries, etc have fallen eventually due the fact that there were no more children. No children, no legacy; no legacy, no future.

That is, however, not the reason I bring this to your attention. They are at it again (still) in Washington, just as they are here in California. Please read below to see how 'nice' some of these homosexuals truly are.

Protect Marriage Washington Files Supreme Court Brief to Protect Privacy of Petition Signers.

Protect Marriage Washington filed its opening brief today in the United States Supreme Court case of Doe #1 v. Reed. Protect Marriage Washington sponsored a referendum in Washington and is asking the Supreme Court to prevent the state from releasing the names, addresses, and other personal information of more than 138,000 individuals that signed the petition.

The effort to place the names of the petition signers on the internet is the latest example of the campaign to harass and intimidate anyone supporting traditional marriage by making personal information available on the internet. Their efforts have resulted in death threats, physical violence, and property damage directed at individuals supporting a traditional definition of marriage.

James Bopp, Jr., lead counsel for Protect Marriage Washington, stated that “Public disclosure laws have been used to harass and intimidate voters. The First Amendment protects citizens engaged in political speech from being forced to reveal their identity to ensure that intimidation does not makes its way into the campaign toolbox. No one should have to endure death threats in order to stand up for what they believe in.”

On September 10, 2009, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington issued an order preventing the release of the names of the petition signers. On October 15, 2009, the Ninth Circuit issued a single page order allowing the release of the names. On October 20, 2009, the Supreme Court issued an emergency order preventing the release of the names until the appeal is decided.

The case is Doe #1 v. Reed. It will be argued before the United States Supreme Court on Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Protect Marriage Washington’s opening brief, along with the prior orders in the case, are available on the website of the James Madison Center for Free Speech, under the “Washington Referendum 71 Petition Suit” heading.

James Bopp, Jr. has a national federal and state election law practice. He is General Counsel for the James Madison Center for Free Speech and former Co-Chairman of the Election Law Subcommittee of the Federalist Society.

It is indefensible to me that someone would send a death threat for ALLOWING YOU TO LIVE YOUR LIFE, yet that's not good enough for you. I know for a fact that isn't everyone. I am angry over this. Take that whichever way you want. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Then again, you have forgotten what shame is a long time ago, eh? Yeah, I said it, I meant it, and I'm here to represent it. Now what?

I Let You Down

I was a little late this morning. Since I had to carry everying in my walker and packback, I was in such a hurry trying to get everything set-up that I couldn't find a few things until some people left. Someone even came all the way from South Bay, and I was unprepared. After all the time I spent preparing, I blew it. I apologize. It surely has been one of 'those' days. Thank you for coming.

Today I had to leave early. It was around noon. I also heard about the people that were told to get out of the congresscritters offices, Well I ran into a problem with some people who appear to be ACORN proto-types. I was told I was not allowed to protest on one of the corners because it was a business area, so I asked if anyone complained. She said it was her job to remove me before they did! I asked when was the last time she read the constitution, especially the FIRST AMENDMENT!

It was either leave or throw down. I wanted to show her that she couldn't push me around but the truth is, I'm only 5 feet tall and disabled. Back in the day it wouldn't have taken a second thought. In a way, I'm kind of glad it did. She probably could have stomped me. I wouldn't want to bring that kind of a message to our cause either.

I complained to her boss who gave me a different story (lie) about why I could not use my megaphone and protest there. First it was due to the businesses, then it was because people live in the area. So I guess people are only allowed to protest in the middle of the woods where no one will ever hear them? Bull.

I also questioned her boss as to whether the fact that I was the only one there at the time made a difference. She of course said no. Then I asked her if I were an illegal alien with hundreds of thousands of people with me if we would be having this same conversation? She lied right to my face and said yes. THAT is a lie. The police protect the illegals and arrest the citizens of my great country. I know. I've seen (heard of) it happening during (Karl) Marx Day (May 1st is known as May Day).

When they protest, they block all the traffic in downtown Los Angeles. No work can be done, business have to shut down whether they like it or not, and the illegals get special treatment. Maybe I can be defined as a minority or some protected group? Gosh, and I used to believe my citizenship MEANT something. I guess it is only special to me.

The few people who did show up today were very nice and took advantange of the opportinuty to go upstairs and voice their opinions to Congressmember Laura Richardson. For those of you who do not understand why there are no bands there and all that, it was a Tea Party in unity with Congresswoman Michele Bachmann to speak with our Congresscritter to kill the bill HR 3962.

There is another issue I would like to bring up just this once. I am disabled and I take the bus. If you want a big time party, bring it yourself! I cannot. I do not have the equipment and if I did, I have no way to transport it. I continue to ask for help, but there is none forthcoming.

I cannot say that about everyone, however. Many of you have asked how you can help, and many of you have actually helped. To you I am very grateful. On the 4th of July, Roxanna brought the helium for the balloons. There was also the ride to the Federal Building. That was the first time I have been able to make it there out of all the times I wanted to go. THANK YOU!

Your posters are also great. I love them. Keep them coming. Jamie, was it you who hooked us up with the speaker for the 4th of July? Whoever it was, thank you. You guys sure are awesome. I just wish I knew the words to motivate everyone and get you to know how very vital a time we are facing.

Pelosi thinks she has the votes. Otherwise I do not believe she would be calling for a vote on Saturday. Please keep those phone calls going! That is more important than what I did. I appreciate your efforts so much. Thank you.

Off-Topic (OT): Please say some prayers today for our service men and women and their families in Fort Hood. God help them and heal them. Comfort those who have lost their loved ones. It was a jihadis attack, and I knew it as soon as they would not give his name or race. Do they really think we're that stupid? Oh yeah, they came out right away without any investigation to say it was NOT a terrorist attack. No, I guess it was just one of those "man-caused disasters'. I am so disgusted with him and all those who think that way.

Shame On Americans Cheering Defeat At IOC

Yes, Obama's family went to Copenhagen to try to get the Olympics to come to Chicago, and yes, America, not Obama, received the lowest votes. Is that what makes you so proud? Shame on you! We do not have to like someone else's politics or even the way they prostrate themselves in front of our enemies, but can we not agree that this is a vote against America? Land of the free, home of the brave, and land that I love?

She is both of our country, no matter whether or not someone sees her greatness. I never like it when she is insulted or assaulted. I'm quite sure the other side doesn't like many of the things I believe in such as God, Life, Liberty, and private property /sarc; but this is also their home.

Can we please come together for one freakin' minute out of the year and be grown up enough to take politics out of every damn thing? I'd appreciate it. We have many things that are more important policy wise. Just think about it the next time. Ask yourself, "Would I react this way if the most perfect president I could have voted for was treated in this manner, and the other side of the aisle behaved the way I just did?" Just sayin'...

BTW, I'm glad Rio finally got the Olympics. Good for them. We have had it here several times before, and I in no way meant to belittle any other country. Well, depending on what country that may have been. I will be having a caniption fit the day they announce the Olympics are to be held in Sudan or Iran! Not until they stop BUTCHERING their own people should they even have a seat at any table. But that's another story altogether. Just wanted to get that in here.

Also, I am still trying to caught up. Can't ya tell? This is kind of late news. haha. I'm caught up on Michael Yon's dispatches. Now I still have to do my subscriptions to YouTube and my Mulitary e-mails from all around the globe. Then if I still have time before my inbox gets full again, I can include some of the counterterrorism I've been reading. Chilling.

By Getting Out The Vote More

I'm writing this before the debate tonight so you may understand I mean what I am saying. Forget the debate. Whether or not he 'wins' or 'loses', it does not matter. Who shows up on November 4, 2008 does, and it's the only thing that matters. It is NOT up to John McCain to get us to our sorry butts to polls. It us up to us.

We already know there are 1.3 million voters (fraud?) registered by ACORN. We have to come out in number greater than this in all 50 states to win this race. What did hear? Did I hear you whining? REALLY? STOP IT.

John McCain was OFF my list, not on the low end. That does not matter now. He is our candidate, and it will be a lot easier trying to keep him in check than it will be to pick up the pieces of our demoralized military, get the Marxists out of the federal government, get the Hyde Act (no pay for abortions) put back in place, and RENEW relationships with Israel.

This is a great and dangerous time. We must think bigger than ourselves. I do not even like this man, but I do respect him. I do know that Sen. Obama will take us into dangerous waters by his foreign policy ideas. So hold your nose if you have to, but vote. Get as many people as you can to vote for Sen. McCain as well. Maybe in four years, we can have ourselves Sarah! ;)

Marine Justin Sharratt and Marine Bill Russell: True Justice

Does anyone NOT remember the attacks Congresswoman John Murtha spewed against the 8 ServiceMEN during a firefight in Haditha? Well, I have a video for you from the Father of Marine Justin Sharratt that will explain to you what it is like to have your Congressman call your son a cold-blooded killer before there's even a hearing.

Justin was found INNOCENT. Not 'not guilty' but INNOCENT. Murtha has never apologized, even after many attempts to reach his office, and he continues to do many nefarious things of which you may not be aware. I suggest you stay informed. Please watch this:

He is a very straightfoward Conservative who isn't ashamed to say so, and he will fight for what is right because it is right. He knows the difference between right and wrong, good and evil. Please, we need more people like Bill in Congress, and we need to give Justin some true justice. Help us to rid the Congress of Murtha. Bill just finished his last 90 day stint, so now he has the okay to campaign. Murtha has had so much more time and he has many connections to raise money. Let's do this! Move out!

As a child, I used to wonder why people couldn't talk out the differences. As an adult, I understand slightly more. There is a difference between not agreeing with policies than a difference between one side stating, "I want to kill all of you," and we won't allow that. We did not start this jihad, so we cannot walk away from it. If we do, we shall have confront it at a later date with a much higher cost. This is exactly the difference between Obama and McCain.

Obama wants to quit playing, pick up his marbles and go home. The only problem with that is these are real people's lives we have to consider. McCain is good for nothing else but this. I'd rather live. This way I can try to correct the damage he will do. Oh wonderful...

American jailed for attempted Iran weapons deal: prosecutors comment by Jerry Gordon Seyed Mostafa Maghloubi, a US citizen was convicted yesterday of trying to buy 100,000 Israeli made Uzi submachine guns for his Jihadi buddies back in Tehran in the Revolutionary Guards, no doubt. He was going to ship the weapons and ammo through Dubai, no less. Here's what the Federal district Judge said upon conviction in the Los Angeles Federal courtroom:

"These were very dangerous actions," said US District Judge George King, quoted by local media. He said Maghloubi's actions could have caused many deaths and destabilized "an area of the world that has suffered enough from continuing upheaval."

If Maghloubi was a naturalized citizen, I wonder if the sentencing might include a term in a federal pen followed by deportation.

A Clinton-appointed judge in California is siding with the Council on Islamic-American Relations in a lawsuit by radio talk-show host Michael Savage. No Nightmare - Why the Surge is Working.

October 23, 2007 -- THE former top com mander in Iraq - Army Lt.-Gen. Ricardo Sanchez (ret.) - recently called the situation in Iraq "a nightmare with no end in sight." Citing insufficient prewar planning and a strained military, he painted a dismal picture of American prospects there.

War critics painted a similar picture when violence in Iraq peaked in '05 and '06 - using terms like "civil war" and "sectarian violence" - as they pushed for a rapid draw-down or immediate withdrawal of U.S. forces. An Iraq "at war with itself" shouldn't be America's problem, they argued. In fact, the existence of a "religious civil war" remains the chief antiwar talking point to this day. [Continue reading.]

The verdict in the federal prosecution against the Holy Land Foundation and many in its leadership was finally read by Judge Joe Fish this week after 19 days of jury deliberation by the Dallas jury. To listen to the press conferences and read the press releases of American Islamist organizations, one would think that the defendants were unanimously exonerated “with prejudice.” The Dallas Morning News reported that Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation Executive Director Mahdi Bray stated that “the government failure to get any convictions was evidence of the power of religious freedom.” He went on to say, “Feeding people is not a crime, and we aren’t going to let the American government make it a crime.” Mr. Bray must be counting on the fact that most citizens, like the jury in the trial, will be so dazed by the sheer volume of evidence that they will lazily swallow the propaganda of the Islamist spin machine. Iraq is on the mend, al Qaeda is on the run, and the civil war has abated to a point where the term "civil war" no longer applies.

Accurate war coverage is increasingly important. Even prominent seemingly well-informed persons can get it wrong, such as retired Lieutenant General Ricardo Sanchez who previously commanded the war in Iraq. His recent public statements –selectively excerpted and then widely dispersed by the hot winds of media – made it clear that this former senior commander is far out of touch with the current situation.

But there are commanders with a finger on the pulse.

When earlier this year I wrote about the 1-4 CAV transforming an abandoned seminary in a Baghdad neighborhood that had been decimated by civil war, the "surge" had not even begun; but already pundits, politicians and editors had declared it a failure. Though I'd spent only a few days with LTC Crider and his 1-4 CAV soldiers at the new COP Amanche, I ended the dispatch on a note of hope based on observation. I recently received an email from LTC Crider with an update on that Baghdad neighborhood. Please read "Achievements of the Human Heart" and see for yourself.

I was in al Basra province when I saw news reports claiming that Basra city had descended into chaos in the wake of an announcement about the draw down of British Soldiers. I emailed the facts about Basra to several bloggers who hold the media accountable, and the resulting effort got the attention of Tom Foreman who anchors CNN's "This Week at War." We were able to make a CNN interview, and the result is a segment that accurately reflects a complex and changing situation. Bravo to CNN for setting the record straight, and to the tireless bloggers who are making a substantial difference in the way news about the war is delivered.

There are major developments to share with readers in upcoming dispatches. If things go at-least-mostly according to plan (which is all we can hope for in war), and if I can rely on the help of readers who share my frustration with the lack of accurate reporting, we can significantly widen the stream of news flowing from Iraq so more people can obtain a truer picture. This will require the will and generosity of readers. But more on that, soon.

HONG KONG — Police in China’s southern Guangdong province used electric prods to break up a crowd of several dozen villagers as they pressed a village leader over suspected graft, Radio Free Asia (RFA) reports. Witnesses said three elderly residents were injured and four people were detained.

“Yesterday afternoon, more than 70 police vehicles pulled up,” one resident of Huangchong village in Shunde’s Beijiao township told RFA’s Mandarin service of the Oct. 25 clash.

“There were up to 1,000 policemen. Some were anti-riot police. But at the time there were only 30-some villagers there. Three elderly villagers were injured after being beaten by police with electric prods,” the villager said, speaking on condition of anonymity. [Continue reading.]

Operating laptops by speaking into a microphone or using other adaptive technologies, our wounded heroes are able to send and receive messages from friends and loved ones, surf the ‘Net, and communicate with buddies still in the field. The experience of MAJ Charles “Chuck” Ziegenfuss, a partner in the project who suffered serious hand wounds while serving in Iraq, illustrates how important these laptops can be to a wounded service member’s recovery. I'm weary of seeing news stories about wounded soldiers and assertions of "support" for the troops mixed with suggestions of the futility of our military efforts in Iraq. Why aren't there more accounts of what the troops actually do? How about narrations of individual battles and skirmishes, of their ever-evolving interactions with Iraqi troops and locals in Baghdad and Anbar province, and of increasingly resourceful "patterning" of terrorist networks that goes on daily in tactical operations centers?

The sad and often unspoken truth of the matter is this: Americans have been conditioned less to understand Iraq's complex military reality than to feel sorry for those who are part of it. [Continue reading.]

It was in the spring of 2004--a month or so before I first arrived in Baghdad in a taxi to stay in a small hotel--that the Sunnis launched their disastrous insurgency. Its defeat is becoming ever more clear this autumn as new reports reach us of the patriotic stand of the Anbar tribes, the pacification and nascent prosperity of Fallujah and Ramadi, the isolation of al Qaeda, and the peace overtures of defeated Baathists.
