Tea Party Patriots: Onward March in Remembrance of Andrew Breitbart

Today is a very sad day because of America's loss of Andrew Breitbart, but he would encourage us to move forward most enthusiastically. For those who have been on the sidelines, it's okay. Pick up your banners and join us so we can finally bring our country to its constitionally limitted authority.

Andrew Breitbart was born in 1969, he leaves behind a very charming wife and four children. He was 43 years old. This is tragic.

I would like an autopsy so we can know possitively that no jihadi can claim responsibility for Andrew's demise, because he put his life on the line for ALL Americans. It is true that his life was in danger for us.

Now it appears the only way to pay tribute to our well respected and tirelessly working friend is to pick up where he left off so what he started was not in vain. I accept this challenge. I am back.

Lastly but NOT leastly. Please pray for Andrew's family, friends, and other loved ones. Please send them words of encouragement. LB Patriots: Meet Our Candidate

Star Parker is running against Congresswoman Laura Richardson in district 37. The Long Beach Patriots have been invited to this rally. You do not have to live in this district to show your support (or donate). She is a wonderful person with a great history. It's a lot like mine, but she has done much to help everyone with her non-profit business to excel beyond what they thought they ever could.

Please come to show your support. This is also one those Kick Pelosi off the Speaker's chair. (I know I got it wrong, but it's the same meaning.) It is going to be fun, and you have an opportunity to meet our next representative for CA-37!

It will beginning at 2 pm and continue until 4 pm. It will be held at George's 50's Diner, 4390 Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach. (2-4) There will be enough parking, so you don't have to worry about that this time. The number to the diner is (562) 427-5979 if you have any questions about parking.

July 4th Tea Party Coming Up

For everyone who has questions, I'm trying to find the answers. So far this is what we know.

Matthew Perdie, who has walked 3600 miles across America talking to REAL people, shall be in the home stretch early July. We are trying to raise enough money for his parents and him to stay in a hotel. Five dollars would be better than nothing, I always say. :)

We will meet at Memorial Park for a picnic around 4 pm. Then we will walk the rest of the way with Matthew to show him our support. We will end up at the Santa Monica Pier for a Tea Party at 6 pm. Matthew, of course, will be one of the speakers.

Please wear your walking shoes! We do not want anyone to feel pain during this event. If you cannot walk this distance, please meet us at the Pier.

Speakers, music, entertainment, etc has been taken care of by the Pasadena Patriots Tea Party - Matthew Perdie. The media will be there this time, even if it is only FOX TV. (I'm trying to PJTV.com to come.) They have done an excellent job, as usual.

No ride? Call Metro. It's on one of the first pages of the schedule.

When that screen appears, choose the one that is not advertised. US: Targeting Minorities For Extermination

Below is an article that was written by someone at the editorial section of the Washington Times on 8/25/08. It is as relevant now as it was then, because Planned Parenthood has succeeded in getting their greedy, murderous, dirty hands on even more money in this so-called health insurance scam. Similar incidents in seven other states have sparked a call for a congressional investigation of Planned Parenthood - and we concur."

That is racist--why isn't Jesse and Al protesting the murder of black babies by this racist organization?

Bottom line? One in two black babies are aborted. One in five white babies are aborted. Need more proof of racism?Of course, the abortion of any baby is a loss for all of humanity.

"According to the Alan Guttmacher Institute, a nonprofit organization focused on sexual and reproductive health research, 13 percent of the U.S. population is black, but 37 percent of all abortions are performed on black women. More than 10 million black babies have been aborted since 1973. Black women are 4.8 times as likely as white women to have an abortion. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also indicates that one out of every five white pregnancies ends in abortion, whereas one out of every two black pregnancies ends in abortion."

End the abortion and Planned Parenthood racism. PP was formed to abort babies of "color". "Margaret Sanger, who founded what is now Planned Parenthood, wrote a letter in 1939 to Clarence Gamble, with whom she was partnering to promote birth control and abortions in the black community: "We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We do not want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."

Bigotry and Planned Parenthood, that is the real plan. Angry yet? Read more.

Gun Rights In Danger

I am so sick of explaining and fighting for that which is constitutionally already mine, but here we go again.

Obama's new Attorney General, Eric Holder, has already said this is one of his major issues. He does not believe the 2ndAmendment gives individuals the right to bear arms. Health Insurance Unconstitutional

This is one reason you should support me. This one of the many beefs I have with this bill. Below is an article which lays out the fact that you cannot 'tax' a person for NOT purchasing a product. I also believe that in a free country, you cannot force this same person to purchase something he may not want.

However this is only one of the many things that are wrong with this bill. The Democrats claim they will get rid of fraud. Um...they why don't they? They've been in power for over a year, and I have yet to read a report on even one case of fraud. Does doing the right thing depend on whether or not they get their way? This is not the way things are done in America!

"Individual Mandate" at Core of ObamaCare is Unconstitutional, New Report Concludes

Washington, D.C.: Arguments by backers of President Obama's health care proposals that the U.S. Congress has the constitutional authority to mandate that individual Americans purchase health insurance through the 16th Amendment to the Constitution, which permits the federal income tax, are incorrect.

So concludes a new "What Conservatives Think" publication, "Is a Health Insurance "Individual Mandate" Constitutional?" written by policy analyst Matt Patterson of the National Center For Public Policy Research.

Among the findings:

* Both the House and Senate versions of ObamaCare contain penalty taxes on Americans who do not have government-approved health insurance, the so-called "individual mandate."

* Such a tax would function as a direct, or capitation, tax, as opposed to a tax on activity, such as excise or income taxes, and would therefore fall outside Congress' authority to tax income granted by the 16th Amendment to the Constitution.

* The Constitution places strict restrictions on Congress' power to lay capitation taxes under Article I, Sec. 9, which reads "No Capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken."

* Exemptions for some people built into the Senate bill's individual mandate tax would make it impossible for ObamaCare to meet this strict constitutional standard.

Says Patterson, "Some of the finest legal minds in the country have concluded that the enforcement provisions of ObamaCare's individual mandate would violate both [the] spirit and the letter of the U.S. Constitution. Apparently, President Obama and members of Congress think they are smarter than these scholars - and smarter than the authors of the Constitution."

The National Center for Public Policy Research is a conservative, Constitution-respecting, free-market non-profit think-tank established in 1982. It is supported by the voluntary gifts of over 100,000 individual recent supporters, and receives less than one percent of its revenue from corporate sources

I don't know if there are enough Republicans with a backbone to stand against this loss of Liberty and take this to the SCOTUS should it pass. (Don't worry. It won't, but we still need your help. Keep those phones ringing!)

Why do I call it a loss of our Liberty? The larger the government, the smaller the citizen. We sent them there to represent us, not to tell us what to do and how to live. Once we give that away, we end up as slaves to the government. I don't know about you, but I'm not going for that!

This is why I am challenging my representative, Ms. Laura Richardson. She had the nerve to wait almost one year to write back to me about this health insurance, and it was clear she is not representing us. Let us come together this year, Republicans, Democrats, and Independents, and help me defeat her so we may preserve our Liberty. Thank you, and have a great week.

Today the Supreme Court of the United States has reversed itself yet again to allow incorporated groups to use political speech even days before an election. The Citizens United v. FEC case decision came down today, and it is great news.

U.S. Supreme Court Embraces First Amendment in Case About Hillary: The Movie

Today, in Citizens United v. FEC, the U.S. Supreme Court protected the First Amendment right of citizen groups to engage in political speech, even if they choose the protections of incorporation. The case involved the ability of Citizens United to broadcast Hillary: The Movie.

The Court held that there is no corruption in assuming the corporate form, so incorporated groups could no more be prohibited from broadcasting their political speech than other citizen groups. The Court reversed its holding in Austin v. Michigan State Chamber of Commerce (1990) that “corruption” based on adopting the corporate form justified prohibiting corporations from expressly advocating the election or defeat of federal candidates. And it reversed its holding in McConnell v. FEC (2003) that corporations could be prohibited from making “electioneering communications” (broadcast communications that merely mention candidates near elections). As a result, many campaign finance laws—those based on rejected corporate-form “corruption”—are unconstitutional. The only corruption that can justify campaign-finance regulation is quid pro quo, i.e., votes for favors. The Court decided that Citizen United could be required to put required “disclaimers” on their electioneering communications and report expenditures for them.

James Bopp, Jr., who has litigated numerous campaign-finance cases, makes the following statement concerning the case: “We are pleased that the Supreme Court has reaffirmed the First Amendment right of citizens to participate in political speech. The Court guards the people’s self-government right to associate and speak, safe from incumbent politicians who dislike criticism and would silence it if permitted. This case reaffirms that the people are sovereign and require broad protection for their liberty to engage in political speech.”

Background

Citizens United is a nonprofit (§ 501(c)(4)) Virginia corporation founded in 1988. Among other activities, Citizens United produces movies. Some of its documentaries have won awards.

In late 2007, Citizens was preparing a feature-length (90 minutes) documentary, Hillary: The Movie. Citizens produced three ads to promote the movie. It filed suit because the ads would be broadcast during electioneering-communication blackout periods and name a candidate and so would be regulated as “electioneering communications.” In January 2008, the movie was released. It included interviews and scenes of then-Senator Clinton at public appearances. It was shown in theaters and sold on DVD. Thomas Nelson Publishers paid a royalty for book rights and published a compendium book. When Citizens United received an offer to broadcast the movie, it sued as to the movie because it was prohibited from broadcasting it by the prohibition on corporate electioneering communications.

A three-judge federal district court held that the public disclosure provisions were constitutional as to the ads and the movie. And it held that the movie was an “electioneering communication” and that the prohibition on corporate broadcast of such communications was constitutional. Citizens United appealed. After initial briefing, the Supreme Court ordered additional briefing and argument on whether the cases relying on a corporate-form “corruption” should be reconsidered.

As a result of today’s opinion, substantial campaign finance regulations remain, but they are focused on the concerns the Court originally identified in the 1976 Buckley v. Valeo decision. There are still limits on the size of political contributions, in keeping with the Court’s concern about quid pro quo corruption. Gone is the notion that just because citizens incorporate they lose First Amendment rights.

Another result of today’s opinion is that many state laws patterned on now-rejected federal law are unconstitutional. States have even enacted laws going beyond what Congress has done, and these will now be clearly unconstitutional, too.

So-called campaign-finance “reform” groups will decry today’s opinion as allowing corporations and unions to have undue influence in politics and public life. But they fail to grasp the genius of the Framers of our Constitution. The Framers understood that in a free Republic the proper response to speech one opposes is speech in opposition, not opposition to speech. The Framers understood that layers of speech regulations and restrictions chill political involvement, so they forbade Congress to restrict speech and association. They did so to allow people of ordinary means to pool their resources and speak on the issues vital to them. The result of modern campaign-finance “reform” has been to make political speech available only to those who could hire expensive experts to guide them through the maze of regulations and restrictions, thereby cutting out the people of ordinary means. So ironically, it is not rich corporations and unions whose speech has been suppressed by purported “reform,” but the common folk, who cannot afford to hire the lawyers that the rich corporations and unions can afford. Today’s decision is a step toward returning to the day when any citizen can stand and speak her mind—without a second thought about complying with some maze of opaque regulations—because she is an American.

Just in case you're one of those readers (like me) that doesn't like to run all over the place to read the news, I think I'll post it here as well. ;)

Petitions Ready! Volunteers Needed.

It is finally here. Our petition is now available for you to download. I will give you a couple links that you will need for this. The first one is Unplug The Political Machine petitions, and the second one is a Fact Sheet with information for you.

It would be very helpful if you joined the Unplug the Political Machine and then joined our group which is listed under Los Angeles County, Long Beach, Long Beach Patriots. Long enough for ya? *heh*

So what is this petition about? Ah. I've been writing in our private site, so you may want to join that also. That is where I post the news others have written and what is happening. It most likely will NOT be found here, because we have idiots in this country who do not believe in freedom of speech, the right to associate with like-minded people, and the such. So email me and I'll include you if I already have you on my list. It also makes it easier for me to email everyone with one email rather than 5 emails with 20 people at a time.

Now down to business. This is a petition to add an amendment to California's Constitution. What it does is it denies the government the right take your money (if you a public employee) for political purposes, give it to public employees union bosses (not the employees), whom in turn give it back to the crooked politicians that took it from the employees in the first place. Basically, it puts them on the same playing field as the rest of us.

It does NOT deny the union bosses the rights of collective bargaining and all purposes of a union. It just means that they would have to ask people for political contributions. This way, if you are a public employee and don't agree with their politics (even if you do!), you get to keep the money YOU worked your butt off for to earn.

Why is this important to us? Because it is corrupting our political system. When those weak-kneed politicians have meetings, do you think they're really working in our best interest? No, they're not. Why not? Because the union bosses have a seat at the table! If they know the union will run ads against them in the next election, how do you think they're going to vote, no matter the crisis it will cause the state? That's right, and that is corruption.

If we want to take back California for the Citizens, this is where we begin. You guys did wonderful when we kicked the snot out of Proposition 1A, and we are going to do it again. We need over 1.2 million signatures. If you go to the sites I have listed, you should find answers to any questions you may have. Otherwise, you can always email me.

As for the volunteering, I need people to be committed to registering voters, signing the petitions (upon showing a drivers license, my sticky point) at malls, at home, at your place of work, etc, and getting them to the address given on the petition. Even a petition with only one signature on it is still good. Send it in! Just make sure that everyone you sign is registered to vote and lives in the same county as the petition.

Let us not show that Long Beach doesn't care about corruption. We do. We need to collect many signatures within this couple of weeks to have anyone with money interested in helping us. Please step forward and be counted. God bless you all.

I Let You Down

I was a little late this morning. Since I had to carry everying in my walker and packback, I was in such a hurry trying to get everything set-up that I couldn't find a few things until some people left. Someone even came all the way from South Bay, and I was unprepared. After all the time I spent preparing, I blew it. I apologize. It surely has been one of 'those' days. Thank you for coming.

Today I had to leave early. It was around noon. I also heard about the people that were told to get out of the congresscritters offices, Well I ran into a problem with some people who appear to be ACORN proto-types. I was told I was not allowed to protest on one of the corners because it was a business area, so I asked if anyone complained. She said it was her job to remove me before they did! I asked when was the last time she read the constitution, especially the FIRST AMENDMENT!

It was either leave or throw down. I wanted to show her that she couldn't push me around but the truth is, I'm only 5 feet tall and disabled. Back in the day it wouldn't have taken a second thought. In a way, I'm kind of glad it did. She probably could have stomped me. I wouldn't want to bring that kind of a message to our cause either.

I complained to her boss who gave me a different story (lie) about why I could not use my megaphone and protest there. First it was due to the businesses, then it was because people live in the area. So I guess people are only allowed to protest in the middle of the woods where no one will ever hear them? Bull.

I also questioned her boss as to whether the fact that I was the only one there at the time made a difference. She of course said no. Then I asked her if I were an illegal alien with hundreds of thousands of people with me if we would be having this same conversation? She lied right to my face and said yes. THAT is a lie. The police protect the illegals and arrest the citizens of my great country. I know. I've seen (heard of) it happening during (Karl) Marx Day (May 1st is known as May Day).

When they protest, they block all the traffic in downtown Los Angeles. No work can be done, business have to shut down whether they like it or not, and the illegals get special treatment. Maybe I can be defined as a minority or some protected group? Gosh, and I used to believe my citizenship MEANT something. I guess it is only special to me.

The few people who did show up today were very nice and took advantange of the opportinuty to go upstairs and voice their opinions to Congressmember Laura Richardson. For those of you who do not understand why there are no bands there and all that, it was a Tea Party in unity with Congresswoman Michele Bachmann to speak with our Congresscritter to kill the bill HR 3962.

There is another issue I would like to bring up just this once. I am disabled and I take the bus. If you want a big time party, bring it yourself! I cannot. I do not have the equipment and if I did, I have no way to transport it. I continue to ask for help, but there is none forthcoming.

I cannot say that about everyone, however. Many of you have asked how you can help, and many of you have actually helped. To you I am very grateful. On the 4th of July, Roxanna brought the helium for the balloons. There was also the ride to the Federal Building. That was the first time I have been able to make it there out of all the times I wanted to go. THANK YOU!

Your posters are also great. I love them. Keep them coming. Jamie, was it you who hooked us up with the speaker for the 4th of July? Whoever it was, thank you. You guys sure are awesome. I just wish I knew the words to motivate everyone and get you to know how very vital a time we are facing.

Pelosi thinks she has the votes. Otherwise I do not believe she would be calling for a vote on Saturday. Please keep those phone calls going! That is more important than what I did. I appreciate your efforts so much. Thank you.

Off-Topic (OT): Please say some prayers today for our service men and women and their families in Fort Hood. God help them and heal them. Comfort those who have lost their loved ones. It was a jihadis attack, and I knew it as soon as they would not give his name or race. Do they really think we're that stupid? Oh yeah, they came out right away without any investigation to say it was NOT a terrorist attack. No, I guess it was just one of those "man-caused disasters'. I am so disgusted with him and all those who think that way.

For all the people who couldn't go to DC, we are having a Tea Party right outside of our Congresswoman's office. It is located between Pacific Ave and Pine Street on Broadway. (Downtown) We shall march up and down the block so that the people on the main streets (Pacific and Pine) may notice us.

Flags, posters, music, CD player/cassette/radio player. I'll bring my megaphone for everyone's use. If anyone knows of a speaker, please send me an e-mail.

Individually we shall go upstairs and express our views and concerns with the staffers. Be polite but firm. They are very nice in her office.

Also bring your own food and drink. Although being downtown, you should have no problem finding something to eat. Let's have some fun while we venture to save our nation from socialism!

HR 1586: Tax 90% Of Bonuses To Become Hidden Healthcare Bill

This is true, at least to the best of my research. I have linked to two articles that are covering this issue. One is on the Right, one is on the Left.

Sen. Reid is going to try to slip this healthcare insurance - with all of its taxes, fines, jail for not 'going along', etc. - boondoggle into the House Bill to get it past the American people. He will do this by amending HR 1586 (90% tax on bonuses) and sending it back to the House. If they decide to go along with this, they can avoid having to go to conference.

Hoyer stated that he may pass it without amending it which will allow them to not go to conference. By doing it this way, they can ramrod it through without needing anymore discussion and avoid a filibuster in the Senate. It will only need a simple vote. Does anyone remember when the Republicans even whispered the words, 'Nuclear Option'? Yes, they were jumped on by everyone practically. Where is the noise?

I guess that's all we need to know to understand what is happening to our country which these brave men and women are putting it all on the line for so that we may remain free. What are we willing to do to make sure that when they do come home, they come home to a free country? Even the Lefties get it. Slate:

While we sit solemnly in anticipation for the CIC to decide whether or not to give our men and women in the field the means they need to carry out his goals, there are a few in Congress who do 'get it'.
