Secret hearings to decide Muslim Brotherhood-linked NAIT’s co-conspirator status.
One of the nation’s most prominent Muslim organizations, the North American Islamic Trust, is set to face off with the U.S. government in a federal appeals court Monday.

The reputation of the group, known as NAIT, may well hang in the balance, but don’t bother trying to attend the court session this afternoon before the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans. In a highly unusual move, judges have — without explanation — ordered the arguments closed to the public. The jurists have also put under wraps all of the briefs the two sides filed in the appeal. We Rescued 'Speedy'

Hi, I know it's been a while since I've written my own thoughts, and that disturbs me. I wish I didn't get so many emails, but I would be sad if I didn't. Go figure.

Our neighbor moved and asked us to be responsible for his cat, Speedy. Like the softy I am, I opened up my big and said okay. Then we thought about it. We already have other rescued kitties, so we asked him if he could take Speedy to a relative or a friend.

After he left the apartment for good, we went to check because no one told us anything. We couldn't find Speedy, so we thought he had taken him to his sister's house. Nope. He just left him here. For 2 whole weeks this poor guy did not have any food or water. I hate that.

When the exterminator came to clean the place, we finally got a glimpse of him! (We searched that whole empty apartment, and there was no place to hide that I did not check...except for one place, in a tine hole behind the refrigerator!).

Well, I told the exterminator at that point that he was not allowed to bomb that apartment because there was a live animal in there. This guy was a true jerk. After we found him and brought him home, this jerk refused to come back which was in his contract!

Anyway. I took him to the veterinarian today, and he has worms (just like I told the people who had him before us), gingivitis on his back gums, and they did some blood work. It came to over $300!!! My God, have I been missing something? It used to cost me no more than $100 dollars. And so the stimulus keeps ripping us off...but I didn't care. I paid it.

He is doing well now. I just fed him (again!), and he seems back to normal. He has to go back for one more worm pill and so the doctor can how he is progressing. He is about 3-4 years old, grey and black with big, thick lines. Not the kind you see on a tabby, these are so beautiful.

I am fortunate in a way. I have been visiting him since he was a baby. I would knock on my neighbor's door and ask if Speedy was home. I also asked if he could play. This helped in the transition, because there were so many people coming in and out of that place. He had to hide most of the time. Except when I came over. He would always come to me.

So why didn't he come to me when we were searching for him? I believe he was afraid out of his wits. I found him by moving the refrigerator (NOT an easy task) and found him stuck between the kitchen sink and cabinets. He was so thin. He hadn't eaten or drank anything for 2 whole weeks at least.

I immediately scooped him up in my arms and sat with him. I wanted him to feel safe. I wanted him to remember me. I sang softly to him. He remembered. He looked up at me and then into my eyes. I 'meowed' to me that everything was going to be alright now, and we brought him home.

He now lives here, and no one is going to change that. He is my cat now. After you abandon an animal, it's mine. So for all of you creeps out there, do NOT leave your animal alone for over 4 days. If I find it, I will also find a good home for it. I'm sick of these people claiming to care and they believe it's alright to murder a child without due process and just leave an animal anywhere, anytime they are inconvenienced. DO YOU THINK I AM NOT?

I gave up new clothes 23 years ago when we got Gracie, our first cat. She is in Heaven now, but she brought us much joy. I held her in my arms as she took her last breath, and we were alone...sort of. God was with us. He saw. He knew. That's the only Glory worth having.

OMG, Speedy wants my attention, so I'm afraid I have to end this. He is doing very well! Thank you to all who understand, go away to those who don't. We only so much time on earth, and I don't want to waste it on you.

Have a great weekend everyone, and God bless!

May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you the rest of the way until you can walk along side Him again. Digg! Digg!

Dems Are For Human Rights?

If this is human rights, then I must be in Iran...

Just in case this page has a problem with the video, you may view it at BigGovernment.com.

UPDATE: This has got to stop. This is our country, Democrats and Republicans and however else has a problem with that. If you feel you do not serve for the people of this great country, then open up your Constitution and read the Declaration of Independence as well. People will only be pushed so far. Keep it up...

I have copied Breitbart's response to the talking points the Democrats released to their thugs (I don't care what you think, Boxer, you're a thug), and I couldn't have said it better. Here:
Dems Defend Etheridge, Attack Breitbart
by Alexander Marlow

The next time someone asks you to explain “the politics of personal destruction,” use this example: Video surfaces of a United States Congressman attacking a college student, grabbing him by the wrist, neck, and body, and assaulting another student’s camera. The U.S. Representative refuses to immediately release the first student despite the student’s repeated pleas. You are an official of that Congressman’s political party. How do you respond? You attack the publisher of a website that released the video. Behold, from Politico’s Ben Smith:
A national Democratic Party official e-mailed around a set of talking points about an hour ago, under the subject heading, “Etheridge Gotcha Video Background.”

Democrats are seeking to raise questions about the video, which first appeared on Andrew Breitbart’s Big Government, because of what’s widely viewed as the media’s mishandling of the ACORN story, which emerged without context from edited videos. In particular, party officials say the video was likely taken by a tracker for the Republican Party, which would explain the effort taken to conceal his identity.
From the talking points:
Push hard w/ blogs the lack of credibility inherent to anything Breitbart does/posts, given its role in the debunked ACORN videos:
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/21/opinion/21pubed.html?src=twrhttp://mediamatters.org/research/201006010001.

http://gawker.com/5508190/okeefe-and-breitbart-acorn-videos-severely-edited.
Considering Congressman Etheridge has already apologized and said there was no excuse for his behavior, it’s seems like this may have been a battle the Democrats should have sat out. Too late now.
The nerve of some people. I'd like to address all people who are NOT politicians. Please be skeptical of all of them, even your own party. They lie to get elected for the most part, and they spend us into destruction. Both parties. This, however, is not the way to respond to a couple students wanting to ask questions. All he had to say was, "I'm too busy right. No comment." Even we know that!

May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you the rest of the way until you can walk along side Him again. Digg! Digg!

Porn Profiteer For Governor?

I will tell you right off that I do not like Meg Whitman. I have my own personal reasons that do not have anything to this with this email, but this email--if true--certainly does not shine a good light upon her.

This email came from the California Republican Assembly, so I have a tendency to believe it to be true. Here is the article:

A Question Of Judgment: Meg Whitman Laughs At Pornography.
by Karen England, National Committeewoman, California Republican Assembly.

"Meg Whitman’s promotion of pornography shows that she does not have the judgment, character, or values necessary to be governor of California and the face of the California Republican Party.

For months, conservatives have had plenty of reasons to doubt Meg Whitman’s values and judgment. Whitman supports abortion on demand for minors and has vowed to continue abortion funding at taxpayer expense. Whitman is worlds apart from conservatives on these fundamental values issues.

To counter questions about her qualifications, Whitman has based her candidacy on her tenure at eBay. But when conservatives hone in on her controversial decision to create an “adults only” eBay site and facilitate the sale of pornography, she laughs. She denies that this issue of judgment and values is relevant to the gubernatorial election.

Whitman’s liberal defenders argue that she didn’t sell pornography, she merely set up a market and let users decide what to sell. According to this flawed argument, because conservatives are supposed to favor “markets,” we shouldn’t criticize Whitman about pornography.

The truth is that Whitman set rules and made decisions about what items would be available on the eBay site. And if conservatives are serious about protecting culture, we have to ask business leaders to take responsibility when they promote pornography and seek profits at the expense of society.

Around the same time that Whitman set up her “adults only” site, she also instituted a complete ban on the sale of guns on eBay.

She later wrote that her decision to ban guns was one of her “least difficult decisions” and said that gun owners would “cut corners” and facilitate gun crimes. Whitman apparently didn’t have any such qualms about the potential consequences of hardcore pornography, even though it later turned out that the “adults only” eBay site was used in connection with sex crimes.

When a reporter asked Whitman about the eBay pornography site, she laughed.

Whitman should be a little less gleeful about her role and recognize that this is a serious issue. She aided the distribution of pornography and sexual paraphernalia, profiting from an industry that degrades women, glamorizes obscene acts, and encourages promiscuity. While there’s no reason to believe that Whitman was involved in the manufacture of the material sold on her “adults only” site, she clearly facilitated its dissemination. She needs to take responsibility for the fact that there is more pornography in America today because she created the “adults only” eBay.

Whitman’s refusal to even take the issue seriously should be a red flag for conservatives. We are concerned about the sexualizing of American culture. We are worried about our children and grandchildren being exposed to depictions of sexual behavior. And we know that sexualized culture leads to behavior and attitude changes that increase the number of premarital pregnancies and abortions. These are genuine concerns for California families, and we need a governor who understands them.

I don’t believe that California has ever had a Republican nominee for governor who profited from the degradation of women. Let’s not start now."

I am not a prude, but I agree with Karen. You don't like my opinion? Maybe I do not like yours! Round-a-bout is fair play, eh? Funny little thing we have. This GOD-GIVEN free speechy thingy. ;)

Silence is an oath I can't keep

Two courageous young women were doing a documentary on the crimes being committed by North Korea when they were forced into captivity by the North Korean guards. This is heartfelt account of one sister trying to free her sister from hell.

Hat tip: CNN.

Editor's note: Laura Ling is co-author with her sister, Lisa Ling, of "Somewhere Inside: One Sister's Captivity in North Korea and the Other's Fight to Bring Her Home" (HarperCollins).

Los Angeles, California (CNN) -- On June 8, 2009, nearly one year ago, I stood before a judge in North Korea's Supreme Court and was sentenced to 12 years in one of the country's notoriously brutal labor camps, also known as death camps.

My legs wobbled in fear, and I grabbed the podium in front of me, fearing I would faint.

Three months earlier, I was on assignment for Current TV. I was reporting on the trafficking of North Koreans, most of them women, who escape to neighboring China, where they are used and exploited. Following a local guide we'd hired, my colleague Euna Lee and I did regretfully step foot into North Korean territory for no more than a minute.

As we made our way back to China, North Korean soldiers chased us onto Chinese soil and violently dragged us back into North Korea.

We were the first Americans tried in North Korea's highest court. Our sentence, two years for trespassing and 10 for "hostile" acts, shows where the North Korean government's real concerns lie. Leery about a negative portrayal of its regime, the North Korean authorities decided the documentary we were making would threaten their government. It was seen as a hostile act meant to weaken or bring down the country.

No country on Earth is more paranoid about its image than North Korea, which has maintained its firm grip on power in part because of its ability to indoctrinate its people. North Korea is one of the world's most closed-off societies, with little known about what goes on inside. Its citizens know little about the outside world.

The regime's mass propaganda machine carefully and consistently disseminates information to the North Korean citizenry extolling the virtues of the communist state and its megalomaniacal "Dear Leader," Kim Jong Il.

During nearly five months of captivity, I was allowed to watch television in a guard's area and saw black-and-white movies about the Korean War and the heroic communists defeating their arch-enemy, the United States. Rallies celebrating a recent satellite launch or nuclear test featured North Korean men and women proudly, defiantly waving their fists in the air. I rarely spotted any young adults, or college-aged spectators within the crowds, just older folks who seemed less likely to cause disruptions.

With their booming voices, newsreaders listed off the latest achievements made by Kim Jong Il, such as the opening of a chicken-processing factory or the building of a dam. At night, I had to put a pillow over my head to drown out the patriotic anthems sung by the military choir.

But beneath all this flag-waving is a different reality. Escapees from North Korea paint a stark picture of a place where human rights don't exist. The slightest criticism or disrespect paid towards Kim Jong Il could land one in a hard labor camp, where starved and tortured prisoners scavenge for food while performing backbreaking work.

When my Current TV colleagues and I were in the northeastern part of China that borders North Korea, we spoke with several defectors who had fled the desperate conditions, seeking food and freedom across the border. While they have been able to get more sustenance in China, freedom has not come as easily.

The Chinese government does not regard these defectors as refugees, even though they face certain, brutal punishment if they are sent back to North Korea.

A young woman, whom I'll call Ji-Yong, recounted her escape, braving the rushing waters of the Tumen River that separates North Korea and China. Not knowing how to swim, she nervously made her way across the frigid waters in the dark. She had been told she could find a better life in China and that there would be work opportunities in the computer industry. Instead she was placed in the online sex industry and was forced to undress for clients who watched her via the web. Her boss tied her arms behind her back and locked her in a room to prevent her from escaping.

With help from a friend, she was able to get away, but with nowhere to go and no money, she ended up working for another online sex company. She was grateful that her boss treated her humanely and allowed her to go outside for breaks. With tears streaming, smearing her thick black eyeliner, she spoke of how much she missed her mother.

Ji-Yong's story is becoming increasingly common as traffickers prey on vulnerable and scared women from North Korea. Many others are sold like commodities into loveless marriages where they are abused and treated like slaves.

North Korean women have no legal status in China, so the children they bear with Chinese husbands also suffer. The Chinese government does not grant these children citizenship; they must live in the shadows as stateless children with no access to public health care or education. If the mothers are deported, or leave their husbands, the children are often left abandoned and orphaned.

During my captivity, I thought about the North Korean defectors who had opened their lives to me. Thinking about their struggles gave me strength to endure.

I might have been living the biggest horror of my life, but what I was going through paled in comparison to what North Koreans in their country and in neighboring China have lived through and continue to struggle against today. I am fortunate to be home in America now, where freedom is my birthright. North Koreans are imprisoned.

But there is hope. Organizations such as the nonprofit LiNK (Liberty in North Korea) are on the frontlines of raising awareness about the desperate plight of North Korean defectors and helping escapees find refuge in countries where they can begin new lives. LiNK's campaign "The Hundred" aims to rescue and resettle 100 North Korean defectors.

Their efforts are risky because they must shuttle defectors from secret shelters in various countries across Asia before they can find safe haven in countries such as South Korea or the United States. This video shows North Korean defector, Ki-Won, and his journey to freedom with the help of LiNK.

Recently a bill was introduced in Congress by Sam Brownback, R-Kansas in the Senate, and Rep. Ed Royce, R-California, and Diane Watson, D-California, in the House that seeks to address the issue of North Korean orphans and stateless children in China. If passed, the bill will help pave the way for families in the United States to adopt eligible children.

In June, I stood before a North Korean judge and expressed my hope that the United States and North Korea might one day establish closer relations. That desire still exists.

I also promised that if released, I would never report on the issue of defectors or North Korean human rights abuses again. That is an oath I cannot keep as long as the people of North Korea remain silenced.

The opinions expressed in this commentary are solely those of Laura Ling.

May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you the rest of the way until you can walk along side Him again. Digg! Digg!

Arizona v Obama+Illegal Aliens

The news I have to bring to your attention saddens me greatly. I never in my lifetime thought I would ever see the POTUS declare that he was not going to protect one of the states in our Union. Friends and countrymen, there is no longer a United States. We are under Tyranny. Thank you so much you Leftists commies.
Feds Will Not Process Arizona Illegal Aliens.
May 21, 2010, 06:39 PM

Today, the President had an agent of the Secretary of Homeland Security announce that Arizona is now a free place for illegal aliens. Arizona has been declared by President Obama to be an Open Border State --that is his answer to the Rule of Law.

"A top Department of Homeland Security official reportedly said his agency will not necessarily process illegal immigrants referred to them by Arizona authorities.

John Morton, assistant secretary of homeland security for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, made the comment during a meeting on Wednesday with the editorial board of the Chicago Tribune, the newspaper reports.

"I don't think the Arizona law, or laws like it, are the solution," Morton told the newspaper."

Imagine the Federal government announcing, openly and defiantly, that it will not obey or enforcement laws passed by Congress and signed by a President?

This is anarchy, from a man who calls a well known terrorist, Bill Ayres a friend. This from the President who had a State department official apologize to China for a State that was enforcing Federal law.

This was from a man who welcomed a foreign president, the head of Mexico , into the White House, and agreed with him in his denouncing an American State for following the Federal law.

Disgrace is not a strong enough word. Outrage is not a word that conveys the strength of feeling of betrayal by our President.

Disgust comes closest. If you want to turn in illegal aliens call 866-347-2423. If you are calling from Arizona please know the President no longer recognizes you as a State.

After reading the article, I got very angry. This is not only reckless, unconstitutional, and arrogant, it is criminal. To announce publicly that you will not carry out the responsibilities for which you took an oath ought to be grounds for prison time. How dare you tell one of our states that you are not going to process any of their illegal aliens! Did you READ the damn law?

I doubt it. No one else in this adminstration has, why should he be any different? He probably hasn't heard of the Mexican Army incursions into our country either, or the kidnappings, rapes, and murders by illegal aliens.

Is every crime committed by an illegal aliens? NO. But the ones that are would not have happened if the federal government had gotten off their arses and done their job.

JUNE 5th THEIR WILL BE A TEA PARTY IN SUPPORT OF ARIZONA'S LAW IN ARIZONA. If you would like more information, I will get it for you. I am so pee'd I can't even write anymore right now, so have a great weekend all.

US Teacher Promotes Sedition

In this video you will see a banner behind the teacher speaking. It states, 'HATE SPEECH IS NOT FREE SPEECH'. I beg to differ. Who's speech is hateful? Anything that disagrees with him? Then I have plenty of hateful words, and they come from our Constitution!

If the video is working properly (sometimes they delete them), here is the link at YouTube. It was posted by Stand with Arizona.

FOXNews.com - 17 Suspected Illegal Immigrants Caught in Search for Ariz. Deputy's Attackers.

PHOENIX -- Authorities have captured 17 suspected illegal immigrants in southern Arizona as they continued their manhunt Saturday for smugglers who they say shot and wounded a sheriff's deputy in a remote desert area 50 miles south of Phoenix.

Three of those captured overnight Friday matched descriptions from the wounded Pinal County deputy and were being questioned Saturday, sheriff's Lt. Tamatha Villar said. The deputy was released from the hospital, and was recovering at home. [Continue reading.]

Remember Neda: Where Are You NOW?

This is a very sad day and shame should brought upon this Administration. Yesterday, Iran was appointed to the Womens Rights Commission. Say what? It is true. The US did not utter a peep in protest, but the Iranian women have. I guess they are braver than Obama? I have lost all respect.

How can tell me that this man gives a damn when he has allowed this to occur? Where is NOW? Not a word. You think Iran is just like America? WATCH THIS VIDEO THEN.

Here is the link in case the video doesn't work.

I hope to God that someone comes to their senses and stops this nonsense. I want the UN gone. Destroyed as far as no more money from the USA (26%!) and no longer in existence. Dissolved is the word I was looking for.

Please remember the woman, Neda, who was gunned down by the Iranian govt just for asking for democracy. All she wanted was freedom. Something you seem to take for granted, and you pay no attention to others who have none. Liberty is God's plan. Marxism is the plan of evil men. Dictatorship is also evil. Please, raise up your voices in unity with the women in Iran!

I will NOT live under the orders of any other country than that of AMERICA. God bless her and Keep her.

Go to #iranelection and let them know you stand with them in spirit, since you cannot be there. Find out where there is going to be a protest in your area, and SHOW UP. This makes me very angry. The dinosaur media gave it maybe 2 seconds, while they gave those 16 words that President George W. Bush spoke TRUTHFULLY in his address to the nation months. WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

I'm not saying they shouldn't have covered what Bush had said. Although I agree that he spoke he the truth, he certainly didn't have a very good way of standing up for whatever he said. But that's a-whole-nother story...

Livestream: Deputy Shot in Arizona, Search for Suspect Still On

The search for the suspects that shot a Deputy in Arizona continues as they found the deputy. First reports were that they flew him to a hospital, but they are no longer reporting that. Please keep your prayers coming. This is a livestream from Channel 12.

Confirmed that the Deputy in question was picked up by a Ranger Helicopter. Thanks for your prayers. Keep them coming.

Palin Hacker's Verdict: GUILTY

Today the verdict of the young 'man' who hacked into Sarah Palin's computer and spread all her private stuff over the internet was found guilty of obstructing justice. There is one count the jury is having difficulty with, and that one is identity theft. They are deadlocked on it, so far.

The charge he has been convicted of carries a 20 year sentence and a $250,000 fine. This is for those who think that computer crimes are not that significant. Beware. Do not do it.

Below is coverage of this verdict with a stupid commercial first. Sorry, I couldn't get rid of the commercial. For those who are happy, remember this verdict when the shoe is on the other foot. For those find this too harsh, then don't do it, and you won't have to worry about it. For those on the Left, remember this the next time your boss asks you to hack into someone on the right. We are watching for all hackers, Left and Right. It is wrong to hack into something that does not belong to you. That's all.

Justice 1; Senate Boo Hiss

I've just read an article I received December 16, 2009, and it is powerful. There is so much corruption within our government on every level including the courts that this is a refreshing outcome. However it is a dire warning as to how far we have moved away from 'Justice for All'.

Here is the comment from Stephan Frank that came with this article:
Federal Judge Exposes Massive Conspiracy by Justice Department.
December 16, 2009, 07:05 PM

Yesterday a Federal judge threw the book at the U.S. Justice Department for corruption of the process, bullying defendants, forcing people to plead guilty to crimes they did not commit (happily one guilty plea has been thrown out and the second will shortly).

This is what the U.S.Justice Department did to a billionaire and other wealthy people--imagine how they would treat you and other middle class and poor people.

The words and thoughts of the Federal Judge says it all:

"Accusing prosecutors of a "shameful" campaign to intimidate witnesses and obtain unjustified convictions, a federal judge threw out high-profile criminal stock fraud charges against Broadcom Corp. co-founder Henry T. Nicholas III and the company's former chief financial officer."

"In remarks that followed two months of testimony, Carney cataloged what he called the government's misdeeds. He said the government's treatment of Samueli "was shameful and contrary to American values of decency and justice." The judge called him "a brilliant engineer and a man of incredible integrity."

"The judge said the government unreasonably demanded that Samueli submit to as many as 30 "grueling" interrogations, falsely stated and improperly leaked to the news media that he was not cooperating in the government's investigation, and improperly pressured Broadcom to terminate his employment.

In reviewing the case, the judge singled out the way the government handled two witnesses. He said Nancy Tullos, a former Broadcom vice president of human resources who refused to cooperate in the investigation, was fired from a new job after a prosecutor called her employer and disclosed allegations against her."

"The judge said the government also pressured former Broadcom general counsel David Dull to testify in a way that favored the prosecution." In plain terms: the government demanded he lie.

the judge may be one of the truly honest people in government: ""I'm sure there are going to be many people who are going to be critical of my decision . . . and argue that I'm being too hard on the government," the judge said. "I strongly disagree. I have a solemn obligation to hold the government to the Constitution. I'm doing nothing more and nothing less."

If they treat rich people like this, you know how they treat poor people.

Our Justice system from the local courthouse to the Federal courts are broken. This system works only if people are not aware of how corrupt government can be, and this story must be given to everybody.

We need total honesty in the judicial system, not just what judges or prosecutors want us to know.

What do you think? Who should go to jail--Nicholas or Eric Holder?

This is refreshing and frightening at the same time. To find out with absolute proof that our Attorney General is breaking the law and there's nothing we can do? I believe there is something we can do. Are you willing to join me in doing it?

Today the SCOTUS also ruled that the Cross at the cemetery of our WW Vets was to stand, but they sent it back to the same court that said the government could not sell it which is what they had settled on to begin with. This same court may be biased against Christians, so our fight is not over.

They are supposed to have the government sell the land to the VFW. Let us keep an eye on this case very closely.

Here are some words from a good friend who has been following this and is worried that many think this fight is over. Please read his take on this situation.

As far as the Senate goes, the Repukians caved on the Financial 'Stability' Reform Act, so they are now moving forward with Dodd's permanent bailout for Wall Street while we sit around without a job. Oh yeah, they're really looking out for the unemployed people, eh? Bastards.

Ohio Watchdog Press Release

Date: November 17, 2009.

OH Watchdog first to report on stimulus money going to phantom congressional districts Contact Editor Lynn Walsh at 614-824-8544 for interviews and additional story information:

With the U.S. Census ready to begin, Congressional redistricting is right around the corner. However, it seems the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has already added ten new Congressional districts in Ohio.

Over $5 billion of stimulus money has seen its way into the State of Ohio thanks to the federal stimulus. The main goal of the money is to create or retain jobs and stimulate the economy in Ohio. According to www.recovery.gov more than 17,00 jobs have been created or retained, 11 of which are in Congressional Districts that do not exist: 21st, 99th, 69th, 87th, 85th, 49th, 20th, 54th, 56th, and 00. These 11 jobs have cost more than $5.3 million; more than 80% of the jobs created or retained so far are located in the Central Ohio area.

Dems Try To Steal Tea Party's Name!

Below is an email I received informing of the bad behavior displayed by a democrat in the state of Florida. He is trying to start a third party in OUR name! Do not be fooled. Please read it, reprint it, tell the world. THEY ARE NOT US! Thanks.

TPP Statement on Tea Party Political Party

Dear Fellow Tea Party Patriots,

There is much talk of the formation of a third political party based on the tea party movement. In Florida, a Democratic operative with absolutely no connection to the tea party movement has filed papers to form a third party called the Florida Tea Party. He has issued legal threats against local tea parties demanding that they cease using the name "Florida Tea Party."

Tea Party Patriots is issuing this statement in order to make it clear that we are not associated with this, or any attempts to form a third party. Additionally, we believe that such efforts are unproductive and unwise at this time. The history of third party movements in this country is one of division and defeat. We believe that it is instead time for all Americans to rise up and demand appropriate reform within their own parties. The mechanisms exist for citizens to participate in their parties, and to drive their parties in the right direction.

The Tea Party Patriots encourage all citizens to get involved in the party process, and to reshape their parties into something in which they may once again believe. This country does not belong to any one party, nor does it belong to the career politicians. This country belongs to the citizens. As Benjamin Franklin once said, "We have given you a republic madam, if you can keep it." The founders knew that it would be our sacred obligation as citizens to get involved, and to work hard to hold on to this great nation. We have much work to do, and future generations will look back in judgment. We hope you will join us in preserving the republic.

Tea Party Patriots, Inc. is a social welfare organization organized under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to Tea Party Patriots, Inc. are not deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes.

Blacks, Hispanics, Poor Whites: What Say You?

I've saved this post until now in case you've forgotten what it is fighting against and what we are fighting for. Life, Liberty, and Private Property. All government entities: HANDS OFF.

This was written by Mr. Mark Alexender at the Patriot Post. Be prepared to feel sick by the time you finish reading.

Team ObamaCare: Sanger, Ginsburg and Holdren.
"The care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, is the first and only legitimate object of good government." --Thomas Jefferson.

Now that Barack Hussein Obama has undermined free enterprise by nationalizing major financial and manufacturing sectors of our economy, he has set his sights on the health care sector, which comprises almost 18 percent of the U.S. economy.

This shouldn't surprise us. After all, he did promise a "fundamental transformation of the United States of America," and his chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, did cite the current economic crisis as the means for doing so. "Rule 1: Never allow a crisis to go to waste," Emanuel said. "They are opportunities to do big things."

Of course, there is NO constitutional authority or precedent for this massive government intrusion into the private sector. But then, when do Leftists look to any authority higher than themselves?

Considering the prospect of Socialists in charge of dispensing health care from cradle to grave, I was reminded, by none other than Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, that when one is in need of health care, one should not depend on folks who advocate a "culture of death."

In an interview last week, Ginsburg said that she thought "at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don't want to have too many of."

This comment was not some senile blunder from an aging jurist noted for nodding off during High Court deliberations.

In fact, Ginsburg's candid assessment of the Left's advocacy for abortion as a means for controlling propagation of undesirable ethnic groups is based upon the writings of atheist social activist and leftist icon Margaret Sanger.

Some 50 years before Roe v. Wade, Sanger founded the American Birth Control League, which later became Planned Parenthood, now the largest perpetrator of abortions in the U.S.

Sanger asserted that ministry to the poor, a fundamental tenet of Christianity, is responsible for excessive numbers of "unwanted" ethnic breeds. "Those vast, complex, interrelated organizations aiming to control and to diminish the spread of misery and destitution and all the menacing evils that spring out of this sinisterly fertile soil, are the surest sign that our civilization has bred, is breeding, and is perpetuating constantly increasing numbers of defectives, delinquents, and dependents. My criticism, therefore, is not directed at the failure of philanthropy, but rather at its success. These dangers are inherent in the very idea of humanitarianism and altruism, dangers which have today produced their full harvest of human waste."

Ah, yes, "human waste."

Sanger characterized the poor as "human weeds, reckless breeders, spawning ... human beings who never should have been born."

In "Woman and the New Race," Sanger insisted that women create an enormous "debt to society [by] creating slums, filling asylums with the insane, and institutions with other defectives. ... Poverty and the large family generally go hand in hand. ... The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it."

Of blacks, Sanger wrote, "We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."

She advocated policies that ensured "more children from the fit, less from the unfit" in order to "to create a race of thoroughbreds." (Remember this quote the next time a liberal tells you that Fascists and Socialists have nothing in common.)

Sanger was certainly the 20th century's most noted American proponent of racist eugenics. However when we remind our liberal friends of the origins of Planned Parenthood, they sputter on about Sanger's support for eugenics being an anomaly of another time and context.

But Sanger's advocacy for the extermination of the "unwanted" is the basis of today's culture of death. Indeed, one of the adherents of eugenics now directs BHO's White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and is the co-chair of Obama's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.

John Holdren may not be openly advocating racial selection, but he clearly advocates mass sterilization and abortion in order to control human impact on the environment. This is nothing but a contemporary interpretation of Sanger's eliminating "human weeds" and "reckless breeders."

Holdren's modern day eugenics program is outlined in a book he co-authored, "Ecoscience," in which he calls for "a comprehensive Planetary Regime [in order to] control the development, administration, conservation and distribution of all natural resources."

One solution, writes Holdren, is "adding a sterilant to drinking water or staple foods" which would help weed out those "who contribute to social deterioration."

As for the constitutional authority, Holdren writes, "Indeed, it has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society."

"If some individuals contribute to general social deterioration by overproducing children," insists Holdren, "if the need is compelling, they can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility -- just as they can be required to exercise responsibility in their resource-consumption patterns -- providing they are not denied equal protection."

I suppose Holdren is Obama's "Czar of Compelling Needs."

As for global solutions, Holdren writes, "The Planetary Regime might be given responsibility for determining the optimum population for the world and for each region and for arbitrating various countries' shares within their regional limits. Control of population size might remain the responsibility of each government, but the Regime would have some power to enforce the agreed limits. If this could be accomplished, security might be provided by an armed international organization, a global analogue of a police force. Many people have recognized this as a goal, but the way to reach it remains obscure in a world where factionalism seems, if anything, to be increasing. The first step necessarily involves partial surrender of sovereignty to an international organization."

Holdren is of course careful about how his "Planetary Regime" might enforce these limits, but given the common bonds of Fascists and Socialists, a contemporary global solution with much more efficient ecological results than dismembering children in the womb would be to release a biological agent targeting mass populations in developing regions of Asia and Africa -- something like strains of Swine or Bird Influenza. After all, AlGorites consider climate change to be a crisis of global proportions, and such a crisis requires innovative solutions.

Holdren concludes, "This may be the last opportunity to choose our own and our descendants' destiny. Failing to choose or making the wrong choices may lead to catastrophe. But it must never be forgotten that the right choices could lead to a much better world."

In 1931, futurist H.G. Wells wrote of Sanger's proposed regime, "The movement she started will grow to be, a hundred years from now, the most influential of all time. When the history of our civilization is written, it will be a biological history, and Margaret Sanger will be its heroine."

Apparently, Obama's director of White House Office of Science and Technology Policy is prepared to do his part to sustain Sanger's legacy.

Given Holdren's musings about population control, should these folks be in charge of determining who receives what medical care?

Circling back to that same interview with Justice Ginsburg last week, here is how she defended a woman's right to end the life of her unborn child: "The basic thing is that the government has no business making that choice for a woman."

But in regard to ObamaCare, I doubt that Ginsburg would apply a similar standard: "The basic thing is that the government has no business making that choice."

The Hippocratic Oath, until recently the de facto position of medicine, established the fundamental principle that a physician should "First, do no harm." Perhaps BO himself should take that oath -- not that he has shown any penchant for honoring the one he took for his current job.

Portuguese Navy thwarts pirate attack

Standing NATO Maritime Group 1

NRP CORTE-REAL, Gulf of Aden (June 22, 2009) – A NATO operation conducted by the Portuguese frigate NRP Corte-Real resulted in the disruption of an attempted pirate attack and the boarding of a confirmed pirate vessel, leading to the seizure and disposal of weapons as well as the disruption of the pirates’ ability to conduct further attacks.

Portuguese Navy Special Forces intercept a skiff filled with eight Somali pirates threatening a cargo ship in the Gulf of Aden June 22.Monday at about 10 a.m. local time, a skiff filled with eight Somali pirates armed with rocket-propelled grenades and AK-47 assault rifles were caught in a high-speed chase by NATO’s Portuguese warship NRP Corte-Real after attacking the Singapore-flagged MV Maersk Phoenix.

“We are under a pirate attack, we are under fire,” MV Maersk Phoenix broadcasted for assistance as it traveled west through the world’s most dangerous shipping lane, 145 nautical miles north-northeast of Boossaso, Somalia.

NRP Corte-Real, the closest NATO vessel, was escorting a Pakistani flagged severe-risk vessel and had to hand it over to a nearby Coalition Turkish warship before rendering assistance.

After a half-hour, high-speed pursuit, the Portuguese frigate intercepted the pirate skiff and boarded her. Warning shots, first into the air and then across the skiff’s bow, were fired as loudhailers commanded the Somalis to stop.

The boarding operation by Portuguese Navy Special Forces was conducted using one RHIB (rigid hull inflatable boat) with standoff support from NRP Corte-Real. After a detailed search, four AK-47 rifles, one RPG launcher with three grenades, several ammunition magazines and two ladders were found on board.

Union Bosses Caught Stealing From Employees

There used to be a time when unions were absolutely necessary. As of late, however, it appears employees have to fend for themselves between the company and their union bosses. Check this out.

Workers Suffer As Union Bosses Mismanage Dues And Finances

Washington, D.C. (May 28, 2009) – The Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI) today issued the following statement in response to news reports that the AFL-CIO has concealed the precarious state of its finances with “creative accounting.”

“Today’s news that union bosses have been cooking the books, and misusing and mishandling the hard-earned dollars of their workers is deeply disturbing, yet in no way surprising. This should serve as notice to those elected officials supporting the Employee ‘Forced’ Choice Act, a bill that rewards union bosses with unfettered and unlimited access to our nation’s small businesses,” said Katie Packer, executive director of the Workforce Fairness Institute. “Why Congress would even consider providing Big Labor heads with access to more power and more money, while they prove to lack the integrity and honesty to manage the finances and retirements of their own members is beyond bewildering. We stand united and will not allow worker protections afforded in the secret ballot and right to vote on contracts to be traded away in an effort to provide political payback at the expense of America’s small business community.”

A bill to eliminate secret ballot election in the workplace is currently making its way through Congress. Something like this could never happen, right? Actually, it could. Under the so-called “Employee Free Choice Act,” workers, in violation of our Democratic principles, would be denied their American right to a private ballot in union organizing elections in the workplace. Workers would be forced to publicly state their vote -- for everyone to see. This is more appropriately called the FORCED CHOICE ACT and would fundamentally change the rights of employees in the workplace … it would force unions on them; force contracts on them and force payment of dues on them.

The Workforce Fairness Institute is an organization committed to educating voters, employers, employees and citizens about issues affecting the workplace. To learn more, please visit: www.WorkForceFairness.com

BACKGROUND:
“The AFL-CIO, the largest U.S. union organization, concealed deteriorating finances through ‘creative accounting,’ according to a union leader. Tom Buffenbarger, president of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, said in a report that the labor federation obscured its financial difficulties heading into last year’s presidential election campaign, in which it backed Democrat Barack Obama. Net assets of the 11 million-member AFL-CIO declined to a negative $2.3 million as of June 30, 2008, from a $66 million surplus on July 1, 2000. ‘A new leadership — leaders chosen by our members, leaders help accountable by our members — is needed,’ wrote Buffenbarger, who is a member of the AFL-CIO’s finance committee and the president of one of the nation’s largest unions. Alison Omens, a spokeswoman for the AFL-CIO, declined to comment on the report.” (Holly Rosenkrantz, “Creative Accounting Masked AFL-CIO’s Finances, Official Says,” Bloomberg News, 5/29/09)
