If somehow we could eliminate taxes, then there would only be one thing left with certainty...death. But wait! If when we die, are we truly dead? Are you certain what is going to happen to you after you die? If you are a Christian, you are certain. If you are not, please read your Bible more and stop listening to the world so much. If you are not a Christian, may I inquire as to why not?

Do you think being a Christian reduces your fun and free spirit? I beg to differ! It is by being Christian that we truly are set free, and boy! Do we have more fun than you will ever understand. Is it because you feel you have done something so terrible that you can never be forgiven? My dear child, of the people being cruxified aside Christ was a murderer. He was accepted into Heaven. Why? Because he accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour. He understood. There is nothing so wrong, nothing so secret, nothing so hateful, nothing so terrible that can tear away God's love for us. My picks this weeks are going to be basically whom I believe will win. Except for the Oakland Raiders and the Buffalo Bills. I choose them all year. ;)

GB vs Detroit. Oh my. Green Bay won last week, but I did not get to watch the game. I don't know how well they played. I know the Detroit Lions did not win, but they could still pull it off. I'm going to stay with the Packers for a while longer. I think I'll just go through and pick them with the opportunity to come back and change my mind shall

I found out some news about a player. The QB for the New England Patriots is out for the season. It is a terrible thing that happened to Tom Brady. Even though I can't stand the NE Pats, I certainly did NOT want anyone to get injured. Especially not for the whole season.

NYG v STL, I'll go with NYG. I always go against STL, and I really like NYG. NO Saints v Washington, I want both of them to win. I'll pick New Orleans. No, I'll pick Washington. No, I was right the first time. (Changed my mind again, going with Washington.) BUF v JAC, Buffalo. TEN v CIN, Tennessee Titans. OAK v KC, Oakland Raiders, IND v MIN, Indiana has been pretty good, but so has Minnesota. I'll go with the home team in situations like this. Like what? Like, I can't make up my mind! Minnesota Vikings. CHI v CAR, Carolina Panthers. (If I go for the Bears, they'll lose.)

In the afternoon we have ATL v TB, and SF v SEA. I'll go with Tampa Bay Buccanneers and the Seahawks. Then at 4:15, we have SD v DEN (SD), NE v NYJ (NYJ), MIA v ARI (Arizona Falcons, but Miami Dolphins could surprise everyone), and BAL v HOU (Houston Texans, although I haven't seen either team play yet this year).

That leaves the 8:15pm game between Pittsburgh and Clevland, and Monday Night Football which is sporting PHI v DAL. I am taking Pittsburgh against Clevland and Philadelphia Eagles over Dallas Cowboys. And that's all she wrote for now. ;)

Stop the ACLU Blogburst 9 Sept 08

The Stop the ACLU is having a blogburst today, and they are combining two articles in this one. Instead of rewriting both articles, I am going to try to give you a summary and you can follow their links to read the whole article(s).

The first article is titled, "ACLU Renews Its Call For Investigation Into Alleged Civil Liberties Violations At RNC", and the second article is titled, "Early Morning Thoughts of an Insomniac". Let's start with the first one, shall we?

The ACLU is upset because they were not allow to disrupt the Convention. They are claiming this is a free speech issue, I am claiming they're full of it. There are two videos to prove my case. How is this free speech when many people have paid CASH to rent a place for their Convention? Should I also expect guests at my dinner parties whom are uninvited? I think NOT!

For the second article, it is written by Gribbit's World. He starts out by talking to himself. I hope you're alright Gribbit! (lol) (j/k) He has combined a few thoughts into this post. He starts out with trying to explain the Left's derangement through Thomas Sowell (did I say 'derangement'? I meant ideology). Then he discusses the ACLU in St. Paul.

Gribbit, too, discusses the joke of the ACLU. They are a real bunch of laughs, unless you understand who they really are:

This has nothing to do with civil rights but rather the pursuit of the ACLU’s long established goal to destroy the United States and bring about a Communist form of government. Remember - “Communism is the goal.” - Roger Baldwin.

Boy, you aren't kidding either. I'd like to know why everyone seems to think that SCOTUS has right to make laws, to disregard laws, to overturn laws that are constitutionally sound, and why don't the other two houses and the executive branch stand up and do something? It is a mystery to me, too. They can only give opinions, not make law. They were not elected, therefore 9 people cannot dictate to 300,000,000 people what is lawful and how they should their lives. Remember, I did say CONSTITUTIONALLY sound.

We fought a war to remove the scourge of slavery. Many lost their lives, so whining. It is done. It is over. Blacks, whites, American Indians, and whatever else were here at the time all lost (except the blacks! Yes! Freedom!) something or someone. Can we just get back to being Americans? Thanks for letting me rant.

Intel Sharing Works - 'Fusion Center' Strategy

The bottom line in this strategy is the real-time sharing of information. This has enabled our soldiers (and the Columbian soldiers) to combine each piece of information, no matter how small, so they could put the pieces of the puzzle together. Sometimes information looks just like junk, but it can actually be a very valuable piece of information.

Doug has written a very good article which explains how the Columbian government was able to topple some of FARC's military. FARC is a terrorist group that kidnaps people for ransom, murders government officials, and occupied over 40% of the Columbian territory for about 40 years.

I have been watching this part of Columbia for many years now, and they have now gotten the upper hand on these terrorists (so it appears). Two of the seven top level creeps are now dead (don't mess with the Columbian Army!), and there is a great deal of money being offered to forsake your ties with this gang. It is working.

These are some of the worst scum in South America. It is good to hear this news.

The tactics they used to gather this intelligence has been used in Iraq and is starting to be used in Afghanistan. Unfortunately for Afghanistan, we have NATO to deal with. NATO has turned into a joke. Each country has told their soldiers the rules of engagement to follow, regardless of what NATO says.

Take Germany for example. These soldiers are not allowed to fire their weapons UNTIL someone shoots at them. That includes someone shooting at them and they cannot see this person but have an idea who it is, they cannot fire back. WHY ARE YOU THERE?

Fortunately, we are starting to combine our intelligence and sharing it so that we can have real-time data. We may have air coverage before we even know we need it because of this counterinsurgency (COIN) strategy. Maybe we won't have it all the time, but sometimes is a lot better than no times.

This is so deep that to put it into a few words is remarkable. Hat's off to ya, Ben. Oh, one thing. Why is Commerce cheating? Is that not what we do with our agriculture? Just curious.

I have to remember the meaning of some words have changed, and I also know this is a different time. Still, I believe without commerce, we would be a poorer country, people, and we may not be as generous as we are. I wish someone could help me to understand what you meant by that statement. Another friend, Cao, was kind enough (and intelligent enough) to add the pictures to this song which was originally made famous by Hall and Oates. Well, that is partially true. Football Season Opens and My Picks

September 7, 2008 is the opening day of the National Football League season. On the first day of the season, I choose my teams according to which ones I like, against which ones I don't, and hopefully which ones I believe are going to win. I'm starting a little late, because I overslept, but they are just coming back after halftime. Anyone that watches or plays football knows that anything can happen in the half, so I'm really not cheating. I will also share the scores with you as they are now.

I am going to pick in the order the NFL.com. For the first pick, I am going to go with the Giants who deafed Washington 16-7 on Thursday. If you don't believe I picked them before the game, ask anyone in the neighborhood! lol

Now for today's 1 pm games. I'm going to go with Detroit against Atlanta. Detriot is an up and coming team. The score right now is Detroit 14 and Atlanta 21. AND DETRIOT SCORES! The score is now Det 21, Atl 31.

Final: Detroit Lions 21, Atlanta Falcons 31.

My next pick will between Cincinatti and Baltimore. Hmm. The score is Cincinnati 3, Baltimore 10, but I think I'm going to go with Cincinatti. Do you remember how well they did last year? I just hope there aren't any injuries.

Final: Cincinnati Bengals 10, Baltimore Ravens 17.

This next pick is a no brainer. I'm with Buffalo all the way to the SuperBowl! They are playing the Seattle Seahawks, and the score is Bills 20, Seahawks 7. Stay ahead of them Buffalo! I told you to stay ahead of them! The Seahawks have a field goal, leaving the score at 20-10.

Now comes the tough part. New York Jets (which USED to be a team I liked) against Miami Dolphins (which is a team that always lets me down when I pick it to win). Bret, it's all your fault. You went to the Jets? I'm rooting for the Dolphins! I used to love ya, but you should have stayed retired. The score is Jets 13, Dolphins 7.

Final: New York Jets 20, Miami Dolphins 14.

Kansas City used to be a terrific team, so I'm going with them against the New England Patriots because I still can't stand the Pats. CHEATERS. The score right now is NE 14, KC 3. KANSAS CITY JUST SCORED! Hold on...make that NE 14, KC 10!

Final: Kansas City Chiefs 10, New England Patriots 17.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers are playing the New Orleans Saints in NO! I have to go for the Saints. Nothing against the Bucs, but come on. The Saints and their fans deserve a win. The score right now is TB 10, NO 7. Hold on, New Orleans is in the red zone. I'll bring any future updates while I'm writing this. Otherwise, the Final Scores will be at the bottom of this report. AND IT IS TIED! ;)

Final: Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20, New Orleans Saints 24.

Now let's talk about MY Philadelphia Eagles for a moment, shall we? They are playing the St. Louis Rams (keep 'em, we don't want no stinkin' rams 'round here!). Who do think is winning? STL 0, Eagles 28. Now. Got something to say, do ya? HA HA HA right back atcha! Um...let's make that 0-31!

Final: Philadelphia Eagles 38, St. Louis Rams 3. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Now for the game(s) I'm watching. Tampa Bay is ahead of New Orleans...oh wait! Holy cow! New Orleans scores! And now we have a hot game on the field. TB 13 - NO 17! (Didn't I already write on this? Hmm, seems as though I did. Oh well.) Oh, there it is. Skip the paragraph above and look at the next one up! lol.

I'd better just type before I get caught up in typing the games as they moves forward!

Houston and Pittsburgh, I will take Pittsburgh anytime (almost). Today's score is at Texans 10, Steelers 35.

Final: Houston Texans 17, Pittsburgh Steelers 38.

Jacksonville Jaguars against Tennessee Titans, hmm. I don't know. I'll pick Jacksonville. Score: JAC 7, TEN 10.

Final: Jacksonville Jaguars 10, Tennessee Titans 17.

I'm going to post this now, but I will come back to finish with 4:15 games. I just want to get this out there BEFORE the games end!

I'M BACK.

I only have a little time during this break, so I am going to move faster than in the first set. There are 3 games playing. We have Dallas Cowboys playing Cleveland Browns, Carolina Panthers playing San Diego Chargers, and Arizona Cardinals playing San Francisco 49ers. I'll choose the Browns, the Chargers, and the Cardinals. Why? Disregarding my decision for Cleveland, because they've become impressive, John McCain is from Arizona, and San Fran Nan is from San Francisco. Any questions? lol. No, seriously. The 49ers have been down in the dumps ever since they couldn't find a QB to the shoes of Joe Montana. And they never will.

Final: Dallas Cowboys 28, Cleveland Browns 10.
Carolina Panthers 26, San Diego Chargers 24.
Arizona Cardinals 23, San Francisco 49ers 13.

There are two games still to be played, but since I am not one those who craves MORE tv than the crap that's already out there, I do not have (nor want) cable TV. So I will have to wait just the same as everyone else who got stabbed in the back when they moved Monday Night Football to ESPN and took it off the screen for the millions of us who are not TV drones. *sigh*

The last 2 games are Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos vs. OAKLAND RAIDERS. The game between the Vikings and the Pack is one I'm not sure which way to vote. I love the Pack, but what happened with Favre? The Vikings? Eh. They're alright. Oh, I wanted Clevend, San Diego, and Arizona. I sucked this first game because I allowed my preferences to get in the way. That stops as of now! Have a good a day, and I will have the scores for you tomorrow.

Monday.

Minnesota Vikings 19, Green Bay Packers 24.
Denver Broncos 41, Oakland Raiders 14. (Huh???)

I need to do some reflecting here. I haven't done this poorly in a long time (except in the middle of the season when some teams pull a surprise victory in the same week). See ya next Thursday and Sunday!

DNC Throws US Flags In Garbage

I was listening to Roger on the radio this morning, when I couldn't believe my ears. Over 12,000 US Flags were thrown into garbage bags to be deposited in the nearest landfill! I guess I should not be surprised, but I am. There are proper ways to dispose of the US Flag if it is no longer of use (for your props). Here is one blogger from the Denver Post:

This morning, Republicans tell me that a worker at Invesco Field in Denver saved thousands of unused flags from the Democratic National Convention that were headed for the garbage. Guerrilla campaigning. They will use these flags at their own event today in Colorado Springs with John McCain and Sarah Palin.

The most tell-tale sign of this writer's Left-leaning bias comes at his conclusion.

I'm not sure what the DNC was supposed to do with unused hand-flags, frankly. But the Republicans are obviously questioning someone's patriotism here. [Read the whole article with comments.]

He doesn't have a clue about what to do with those flags? Very telling.

Flags can be properly disposed of by following the regulations of the US Flag Code. Local VFW posts and American Legion posts are always glad to help with flag disposal, as are most local Boy Scout troops. Flags should be re-used, stored for future re-use, or be ceremonially destroyed rather than being thrown into the garbage.

It is never acceptable to simply throw the flag into the garbage. To throw 12,000 flags into the garbage is an act of the profoundest disrespect for the American flag, and to the veterans who fought and died under that banner.

UPDATE: Fox News is reporting that it was a vendor who discovered the flags, not a cleanup worker. [Read the whole article with comments. Some are quite funny (if you consider stupidity to be funny, lol).]

My co-blogger Roger wrote about this on the September 1st, and yes the entire Democratic party should be ashamed. Of course, they aren't. So, why wouldn't people question your patriotism when you treat the flag like this?

Now for Ed's:

Didn't anyone make arrangements for better disposal of these flags from Invesco? At the very least, they were an investment that could have been re-used at rallies in Colorado as well as the rest of the nation during the general election. Instead, they've handed a dramatic moment to John McCain and Sarah Palin, as well as relieved them of the cost of 12,000 such flags -- as well as a full 3?x5? flag that also wound up in the trash.

Remember when the DNCC was supposed to be the "greenest convention ever"? How they worried about the color of the food and using organic materials in their merchandise? I guess we can see where the "green" concern ends ... at red, white, and blue. [Read more.]

I must say, this story has started a firestorm. It was just published today, and I thought I was going to break the news. Foolish me! lol. So many people are already on the story.

BTW, in case you are wondering, it has been verified that this did actually happen. I am more sad for my country than I am angry at the DNC. When did it become passe to not love our country? How many COMMUNISTS are there living here? Yes, and you know who you are. I hate you, Commie freedom haters. I want my country to love itself before they start demanding that we have better relationships with other countries. If you hate it so much here, there are no locks on the borders (as you can clearly see, but don't get me going on that issue!). Can we for once have a campaign about issues concerning our survival? Why? If we do not, we will no longer have a flag to defend, because we will no longer be free (if we are alive). That is why. Have a nice day.

Who's Afraid Of Sarah Palin? Oprah!

The Drudge Report had posted the fact that Oprah is refusing to interview Sarah on her program, so Oprah sent out her typical backstepping (backstabbing) response. I hope Sarah refuses her invitation AFTER she is Vice President!

OPRAH'S STATEMENT: "The item in today's Drudge Report is categorically untrue. There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over."

Oprah Winfrey may have introduced Democrat Barack Obama to the women of America -- but the talkshow queen is not rushing to embrace the first woman on a Republican presidential ticket!

Oprah's staff is sharply divided on the merits of booking Sarah Palin, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

"Half of her staff really wants Sarah Palin on," an insider explains. "Oprah's website is getting tons of requests to put her on, but Oprah and a couple of her top people are adamantly against it because of Obama."

One executive close to Winfrey is warning any Palin ban could ignite a dramatic backlash!

It is not clear if Oprah has softened her position after watching Palin's historic convention speech.

Last year, Winfrey blocked an appearance by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, timed to a promotional tour of his autobiography.

Oprah and executive producer Sheri Salata, who has contributed thousands of dollars to Obama's campaign, refused requests for comment.

Many want to see Palin speak to their issues, and might assume that the most successful woman in American entertainment would welcome the opportunity to make that introduction. I am comfortable in declaring that this just about sums it up.

Oprah, if you do not give the EQUAL TIME to Sarah Palin that you gave to your candidate, you will be reduced to a political hack. I thought you were better than that, and I am very disappointed. You can count on me never watching your show again. Farewell.

Homerun Sarah Barracuda

I had to turn off all the TV's and radios to collect my thoughts. I loved Sarah's speech. It seemed more like a conversation than a speech. Were there any memorable statements? Drill Baby Drill! I loved her attack on the press about her not having any experience. She put them in their place by telling them, Obama and the world what actual responsibilities a Mayor has, in contrast to a 'community organizer'. LOL. One is held accountable by the people, the other does not. Can you guess which one?

I love her fiery spirit, and she is ladylike at the same time. I love her sense of humor. She took one sentence to tell the media to back off her family. She stated that she has a family very much like everyone else's. It looks perfect from the outside, but it is rather interesting on the inside. Other than (something like) that, that's all she said about her family. Besides the fact that she loves them very much. She means it.

That is what I like about her. I can believe her. She didn't try to wow me, she didn't try to smother me with false policy promises, she just spoke confidently and straight. They want to go to Washington to shake things up, and I believe they will be successful.

Did you know that Joey's state has the same number of electoral college votes, and it can fit into Alaska 250X! And they call her state LITTLE? LOL. You go, Girl. Job well done.

Rudy was excellent, too! BTW, who was that woman that kept saying, "I know John McCain..."? That got old very quickly, and it was also annoying. Just so anyone on the staff can know, if you happen to read this. ;)

To be fair, I think this young reporter had many people to interview and didn't have an answer for Newt. After all, could you name one thing?

When John McCain gives his speech tonight, I sure hope he discusses some philisophies that are important to the GOP. Also, I'd like to know what he has in mind for judges, illegal aliens, human trafficking, jihadis, Gitmo, etc. Man, I wish she was on the top of the ticket! ;)

Michael has no internet but called on the sat phone.

British 2 Para in Helmand provence have been repeatedly and successfully closing with and engaging the Taliban. In ongoing operations today a number of British paratroopers lured Taliban into an attack. British forces responded with machine guns, small arms, shoulder fired rockets, mortars, and a 500 lb bomb. Locals say "Many Taliban dead."

USA to Britain - Ally or Enemy?

Let us take a walk backward to all the conflicts and Iranian arms coming through Basra, and let us take another look at what Britain was or was not doing. I have suspected and been made aware for a long time now that the British Army was not allowed to engage the enemy in its AO. What we were not made aware of until lately, is the fact that the government of Britain had decided to make a 'deal' with Mukki and his jihadists.

What was this deal, and why didn't they share this information with the USA or the Iraqi government? The deal consisted of this. Mukki could come and go as he pleased, he could conduct business as he pleased, and Britain would not get in his way as long as he did not kill any of them.

Even though Mukki did not keep his word, Britons still never fought back. That is how we ended up having to fight their battles for them. When the Iraqi troops and our troops (USA) went into Basra, it was a city that used to be peaceful but was now the most lawless place in Iraq. The people there were frightened, tortured, murdered regularly, raped, and they had no help from Britain. Incredible and unacceptable.

We cleaned up the mess Britain left behind, and they want to take credit for it? I DON'T THINK SO! With allies like this, who the heck needs enemies? Next time, Britain, stay home. We don't need your stinking kind of support.

You can read more about this from an Iraqi named Omar who was actually in Baghdad and lived through some of the worst times during this counterinsurgency in his country. That is, until General Petraeus come along and started kicking arse with our USA TROOPS AND IRAQI TROOPS. NOT with the Brits.
