Money is not America's God

For many years I have been arguing that the dollar is not the guiding force behind the American Dream. It is only a result of it. Allow me to explain.

America was founded upon an idea. The idea all men are created equal. The idea that Life, Liberty and Private Property were essential and attainable only by a free society governed by those chosen by the people to represent them.

Ideas are powerful things which need vigilant defending. Especially when they are as good as ours are. Those ideals were and are the fact that we are individuals, responsible for ourselves, we have the capacity to dream and to fulfill those dreams or at least to try, we strive for goodness, we know men are of an evil heart so we do not leave all power in the hand of any one person, we have ownership of property of the people not the government (although you'd never know it today), and along with all these ideals we have responsibilities that come alongside them.

The only thing I mentioned that costs money is the private property. That is the fruits of the freedom we possess because some people sacrificed their home comforts and went to fight for them. We did not get here freely, and we shall not remain here freely. We all owe a debt to one another to do our very best to do whatever it takes to remain free. Let's face it. If we are not free, what good is all the money in the world?

So where is this leading? Glad you asked. Wealth is not about money. Not in my book. In my book, this is what wealth is. I have a family that knows me and still puts up with me anyway because they love me, I have a roof over my head and food in my belly, I have everything I need and most of the things I desire, and I am equal to Bill Gates. I live in a country where I can strive to attain this or that, I have so many rights because they were given by God not man, and I am able to worship my Christian God as I choose. Show me another country with all of this. I dare you.

How did this country come to offer such freedoms and rights? Through wars. Many wars. Some declared but most not. This is not the first time we've had a run in with Islamo nuts. Does anyone remember the Barbary Coast? They were Muslims. Jefferson finally stood up to them, and we became famous for our Navy. (Okay, so I would like to think so.) Actually, they were stealing our trading ships, and we refused to pay the ransom. We went and took back our men, and that was the end to that.

NOT LIKE TODAY when Israel trades dead bodies for terrorists to appease a world that doesn't give a crap about them in the first place. Politically Islamists will not change their minds, because we are their enemies. They have declared war against us, and if you're not going to get on board, then get out of the way and let our men FIGHT.

War is not pretty. It is not courteous. It is not civilized. So stop expecting this from men who have been trained to handle these monsters. More men have died because of political correctness than anything else, and I, for one, am sick to death of it.

Our country IS worth fighting for, as we are in battle with them now. The one thing I would change about this whole scenario is that I would abolish the force behind the onslaught of murders, beheadings, rapes, hangings, genital mutilation, etc. Islam appears to fit the bill. We did it when we came here, we did it in Japan. Why can't we do it there? Don't tell me we're afraid, because we're not. It is not a religion of peace, it is a political war tool. As long as we fight as if they are equal, as if they read the geneva convention, they are going to win. That is the one thing I will not, cannot, accept.

What does this have to do with money? Ask the politicians! They can tell you how much we spend every month, and they can also tell you what they would prefer to spend that money on. Funny thing though. If we were not at war, there would NOT be this money. So please, tell me Sen. Obama and Sen. McCain, where would you get the money from because I'm sure not going to give it to you! It may be your god, but it certainly is not mine.

PS. Don't forget, the money we are spending for gas is going into the pockets of the terrorists indirectly. Are you walking when it is possible? The exercise is good for you. I have walked ever since my car was stolen. Long story, not going to tell it. How's that for short?

The accelerant that lit my beehive was that the banks are accepting money in a way that this group claims is under Sharia law. However I couldn't find the basis for this fact. (Maybe this has something about Sharia law.)

It still burns me up inside. If it is true, then they should all be shut down in my humble opinion. This is why I say we must rid this scourge from the face of the earth. I am not referring to the people who follow it, unless they are jihadis. Of course not. But if they don't choose America above this scourge, then get them out of here.

There is another article about a mole. It speaks about all the arrests of people who have already been allowed into this country, some are not even citizens and they have been HIRED by our own government and had access to sensitive secrets. Just what the heck is going on over in the State Department?! Oh yeah, diversity is their priority. Living just happens to be one of mine!

PSS. Remember this. We can serve one master. Some people believe in global warming as if it were their master, some people believe there is no God as their master. My master is the Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him, I can do everything, and I live in a land that was built on this principle along with the tenents of Christianity and the Ten Commandments. Thank GOD!

It sort of makes me wonder, had they considered homosexuality and the possibility of the same sex wanting to marry one another? It would appear that they did, because there were laws on the books of EVERY state in the union against homosexual behaviour. How can they be against the behaviour, but not against the so-called farse of a marriage?

It has oft been said by most that marriage is the cornerstone of society. Are we to now accept that just anyone can 'marry' just anyone for any reason? Why not have 3 people marry? Why not 4? Where do draw the line, if we are able to draw a line at all?

OF COURSE THEY WERE AGAINST HOMOSEXUALITY, as am I. You don't like it? Tough. I'm not here to wipe your rear-end. I'm here to speak the Truth and to speak my mind. That I shall do without fear of you or anyone else. God save this nation.

PS. I am also against adultry, stealing, coveting, murder, gossip, and lieing. That covers the 10 Commandments plus gossiping. Is it against the to gossip? No. Is it wrong to gossip? YES. So you see, I am an equal opportunist. ;)

Czech soldiers train Afghan police

FOB SHANK, Afghanistan (July 10, 2008) — Czech soldiers mentored and trained Logar Police Academy cadets at an Afghan national police compound, here, recently. The Czech soldiers have an ongoing mission of training 36 cadets, who will become Afghan national police officers upon graduation from the academy, July 17. Coalition soldiers actively support the Afghan national security forces by training the ANP. The police academy, led by a U.S. Police Mentoring Training team, cooperates daily with Czech Provincial Reconstruction Team Logar soldiers at FOB Shank, Logar province.

These efforts focus on training the Afghanistan national auxiliary police to become members of the ANP. Currently, Czech and Afghan instructors are teaching the fourth group of cadets at the Academy. Each group attends a three-week cycle which includes first-aid treatment, tactics, patrolling, weapons training, vehicle-check-point procedures and many other police-related subjects. The practical part of the training also includes scenarios where cadets are ambushed by simulated oppositional forces.

“Just being able to react properly on the ambush is going to increase the probability of saving policemen’s lives,” said Warrant Officer Petr Furst, Czech PRT Logar 1st contingent military police instructor. The provision of mentoring and training ANP is a key task here, he explained. The ANP training prepares the Logar Police Academy cadets for the daily duty in their service to the Afghan nation.

Guard, Border Patrol Mark End of Operation Jump Start

The National Guard and the U.S Border Patrol marked the end of Operation Jump Start during a ceremony one week ago in Washington, D.C. The commissioner of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which includes the Border Patrol, joined the chief of the Border Patrol and the chief of the National Guard Bureau at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.

Operation Jump Start was a Guard mission to support the Border Patrol in providing security on America’s southern border. It began June 15, 2006, and officially ended Tuesday. During that time, more than 29,000 Guard soldiers and airmen from all 54 states and territories participated. At one time, 6,000 Guard troops were taking part in the mission while the Border Patrol hired and trained additional agents.

“We can all now admit that we did, in fact, need your help,” said W. Ralph Basham, CBP commissioner. “We needed your help desperately, as a matter of fact, to build a bridge (from) where we were two years ago in June 2006 (to) where we are now.”

David V. Aguilar, chief of the Border Patrol, said, “The partnership has worked. We have made America safer. As we have in the past – the Guard, the Border Patrol – we will continue to stand shoulder-to-shoulder guarding and protecting our country.”

Lt. Gen. H Steven Blum, chief of the National Guard Bureau, said the partnership was an example of doing things the right way and will be studied by future leaders as a successful effort between two government organizations.

“If this country didn’t have a National Guard,” he said, “we’d be scrambling to invent one this morning.”

For those of you with your arms up in the air, cool off for a minute. THIS IS THE BRASS, not the Troops. This is the political part of the National Guard with whom I have had several differences with before. Did you know they had a Senator's name down as a supporter of some bill that came up AFTER this same Senator HAD A STROKE and was hospitalized? (Still is, to the best of my knowledge.) That is when I stopped reporting their 'Notes'. I do believe I will do so again. I have so much work to do.

VA Plans Sporting Event to Help Recovery of Wounded Veterans

The National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs will allow 100 injured veterans to take part in a unique rehabilitative sports experience. The event will be held Sept. 28 to Oct. 3 at several venues in the San Diego area. The event is open to recently injured veterans who have spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, certain neurological conditions, amputation or other mobility impairments or post-traumatic stress disorder. For many injured veterans, this event will provide their first exposure to recreational sports and other activities after being injured.

"The sports clinic will strengthen veterans battling [their way] back from injury, improving their mental and physical well-being,” said Dr. James B. Peake, the VA secretary.

Sea World and the San Diego Mariott Hotel and Marina will be the site of the opening and closing ceremonies, along with some of the week’s events. Other events will be held at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Kellogg Park in La Jolla Shores, the Embarcadero Marina Park and the Mission Bay Yacht Club. Events will include sailing, cycling, surfing, kayaking and track and field. The VA considers recreational sports an important part of the therapy for many disabilities. It includes similar therapeutic programs at health centers across the country.

The VA also sponsors the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic, the National Veterans Wheelchair Games, the National Veterans Golden Age Games and the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival. More information is available at www.SummerSportsClinic.VA.gov.

Maj. Gen. James F. Cantwell, NGAUS president, and Col. James B. Deerin, NGAUS executive director, were two of the 12 representatives of military and veterans’ organizations called to the White House on April 12, 1970, for a briefing on defense matters by President Richard Nixon. Seated around a large mahogany table in the Cabinet Room, the group listened to the president for 55 minutes. This Week in Guard History 18July2008

July 20 1969: Long Binh, Vietnam — Members of Rhode Island's 107th Signal Company continue to perform routine but necessary upgrades on equipment to assure a smooth flow of communications in support of Headquarters, II Field Force.

The unit, in country since October 1968, actually has elements serving in three different locations in Vietnam. The main body is stationed at Long Binh, while a platoon is based at Can Tho, 80 miles southwest of Saigon, to support the IV Corps (Mekong Delta) area. A second platoon is situated at Tay Ninh, 50 miles northwest of Saigon, to support the 199th Infantry Brigade.

Among their tasks is the maintenance of teletype relays between different headquarters in country and the operation of a 200-line dial central office on wheels to provide commercial-quality phone service. This latter equipment allows the unit to deploy with a mobile force and within an hour have its commo links working.

While no members of the unit would be killed in action, Sgt. Ernest Perry of Warwick, R.I., would die in a swimming accident. The 107th returned home in October 1969 and was reorganized in the Rhode Island Guard. However, it was disbanded in the 1990s and its lineage is now lost. It is the only National Guard unit carrying Vietnam campaign credit not still in the force today.

This is why I do not understand why people who do not educate themselves even a little bit during these serious times think it is important for them to vote. That's correct. That is what I said. If you don't care enough to educate yourself, then why are you voting? You have no concept about what your vote will do to ME, who HAS taken the time because I love my country enough to get informed about the situations we face, the people from which we have to choose, their policies, their backgrounds - not their pretty words they say now to get elected, and I have many months (in hours) educating myself as to who is behind each candidate.

I don't expect you to do so much work. It is tedious, and it takes a lot of researching. That is why I do it for you. But I do NOT want you to just take my word for it! I am only a jumping off point, as should be any site that you read. Please, educate yourself. It is necessary if we intend to stay free...

Partnership to Help Army Reserve, D.C. Police Share Same Talent Pool

They are trying something new in DC that I hope they try in all the states, if it is successful. What are they trying? They are combining their talents, instead of competing for new recruits, to give their new recruits the option of joining the other man's reserve unit! I think this is wonderful. If someone joins the Army Reserves, they could also get a job as a police officer, and vise versa.

Army 1st Sgt. Ryan Ervin of the 200th Military Police Command at Fort Meade, Md., also an MPDC officer, said the Metropolitan Police Department and Army Reserve both stand to benefit from sharing the professional, career-minded and goal-oriented recruits each attracts. Army experience gives police recruits an ability to think on their feet, work within a command structure and show flexibility when it’s needed, he said.

Meanwhile, Stultz said, civilian police experience brings strong negotiating, interrogation and crime scene investigation skills to the Army Reserve.

This also helps to defeat that attitude of when you hire a Reservist, there will be a drain on your system. Not at all. This way, you can see it as a value-added to your force.

The police are not the only ones who are seeing the benefits this will bring to their forces, there are other businesses who are looking at this program with interest. It would be wonderful to hire someone who knows how to organize, remain above reproach, and get the job done. This is good for our reservists, so they may be able to find a job in their skill set a lot easier. I sure hope it hope it helps all of our reservists soon! Have a great day.

God, please protect the Snow family from protesters

Tony Snow was the perfect picture of the husband and man that I would have loved to have met and married. Don't go getting stupid on me, I'm saying he was devoted to HIS WIFE AND FAMILY and his faith in God was very strong. An example that I wish more men would expound. That is what I meant, for Pete's sake! lol

Lord, he is with You now, and I know he has no more pain. There is one thing I pray for his family. That wicked family that calls themselves a 'church' is planning on protesting his funeral on July 17, 2008. They had some horrible remarks about his passing from this world into Heaven. I shall expose them here and now.

Christ Episcopal Church (Lepor Colony) 118 N. Washington St. Tony Snow (Press Secretary for 6 "B" George W. Bush) is dead, YES! He had a platform, he was given some small talent by his creator. He was an unfaithful steward, and is now residing in hell. Each opportunity he had to faithfully REport what the servants at WBC had to tell this country/world, Tony Snow besmerched and vilified the words of God and the people of God. Thereby being a party to the crime of passing laws to make the preaching of the gospel to this adulterous and sinful generation = criminal activity. That is a very bad monkey! This is what the Lord Jesus Christ said about hypocritical heretical "scribes": Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. Matthew 23:14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows? houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. Matthew 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Matthew 23:25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Matthew 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men?s bones, and of all uncleanness. Matthew 23:29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, Luke 11:44 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them. You see there is nothing worse than a scribe who has gone away from their primary duty to faithfully report the facts as they ARE! And how appropriate that this brute, vain beast of a brat was raised Catholic, but then determined like his forefathers that oops! he'd rather be a filthy Episcopalian, instead. God hates Tony Snow, and that is why he is now burning in hell.

So, these scum beneath the earth believe that just because Tony didn't agree with your protesting our brave men and women, you say he is in hell? Because he didn't listen to you? The words you use are, 'listen to God', so are you blaspheming? Are you declaring that YOU are God? I DON'T AGREE WITH YOU, YOU SON OF A WITCH! May you rot in hell all the rest of your natural and immortal life...unless you repent and come to your senses. Doubtful, but always possible with the Merciful God I know. You, sir, do not have a clue.

I just called the White House (202-456-1111) to let them know what is being planned. I also asked for some Secret Service agents to be there so they can arrest these creeps. Have a nice in the slammer.

WSJ: Escape From Iran vs Batebi Is Free!

I'm pretty sure I'm not the first one to write about Ahmad Batebi's escape to freedom back on July 6, 2008, but it's nice to see the 'almost' dinasuar media catching up to us. This is in regard to the article in the Wall Street Journal titled, 'Escape From Iran'.

I sure do wish they would tell us something we don't already know, since they have all these sources and so much money to spend to gather information. I know I shouldn't complain since they finally wrote SOMETHING, but it just seems they could know a lot more than I do. Oh well. Maybe some day...

Who's the Judge of these judges?

Islamic Jihad Sami Al-Arian, the Florida professor who pled guilty in 2006 for conspiring to provide goods and services to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), was ordered released on bond by judge Leonie Brinkema who was last seen presiding over that joke of a trial of Zacarias Moussaoui. Although the 4th district and 11th district and the SCOTUS refused to hear his case, this witch sets this terrorist free upon our streets in the US of A. I wonder, will she let him live with her?

Tanker Saga Continues; Bidding Process Reopened

The Air Force’s troubled attempt to build a new aerial refueling tanker aircraft is now in the hands of the Pentagon, which will oversee a new bidding process. Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates said this week that a department official, John Young, will be in charge of the competition.

Young is defense undersecretary for acquisition, technology and logistics and is the top weapons buyer for the Pentagon.

The tanker contract was awarded by the Air Force on Feb. 29 to Northrop Grumman and European Aeronautic Defence and Space, the parent of Airbus. However, Boeing, which also submitted a bid for the $40 billion contract, protested. The award was also blasted in political circles because much of the aircraft would be built in France.

The Government Accountability Office investigated and found “significant errors” with the process that may have tipped the contract away from Boeing. In light of that report, Gates has reopened the bidding and said a selection could be made by the end of the year.

This is not the first trouble with the tanker acquisition. In 2003, an Air Force official and one with Boeing went to jail after a deal was made to lease tanker aircraft from Boeing.

The tanker was the topic of a House Armed Services subcommittee meeting on Thursday, where lawmakers wanted answers for the difficulties in successfully awarding a contract. They wondered if the problems were limited to the Air Force or if the Pentagon’s entire acquisition process was flawed.

“Is it too complex?” asked Rep. Neil Abercrombie, D-Hawaii, the subcommittee chairman. “Do we have the right people? Do we have the right training?”
